10-6-2009. . . .THE GIFT OF GRACE!
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Eph 2:8-9 KJV) All of us can recollect receiving some wonderful gifts through the course of our lives. None however, can be compared to the gift of grace we have received from God. Its quality . . . .incomparable – It’s value. . . .priceless – Its benefit. . . .undeniable! If we were forced to return every gift we’ve ever received, but were allowed to keep just one, without hesitation or equivocation the choice would be, the gift of grace!
Prayer: Lord, thank you for the gift of grace. Although I could not earn it by merit, through faith I freely received it. How sweet it is! Amen.
John 1:14-17. . . .And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. KJV
