WHAT WE SOW GOD WILL GROW!

1-31-2012. . . .WHAT WE SOW GOD WILL GROW!

"As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease." (Gen 8:22 NIV)  A wise man will always take note of the constants in life and order his actions accordingly.  Knowing when to sow is equally as important as knowing where to sow.  Both will affect the harvest.  Follow the constants!  What we sow, God will grow!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for the constants in life.  Help us to observe the constants you have put in place and order our actions accordingly.  Amen!

2 Cor 9:6. . . .But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. KJV

WANT MUCH GIVE MUCH!

1-30-2012. . . .WANT MUCH GIVE MUCH!

"For God, who gives seed to the farmer to plant, and later on good crops to harvest and eat, will give you more and more seed to plant and will make it grow so that you can give away more and more fruit from your harvest." (2 Cor 9:10 TLB)  Seed and harvest are proportional!  The more seed, the greater the harvest.  The amount of harvest given away, will determine the amount of seed received to produce the next harvest!  The less we give, the less we receive!  Want much, give much!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for both seed and harvest.  Help us to be generous in our giving as you trust us with more seed and greater harvest!  Amen.

Gal 6:7. . . . Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. KJV

DRAW AND DRINK

1-27-2012. . . .DRAW AND DRINK!

"Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. (12:2-3 KJV)  There is nothing more comforting than the confidence we have in the Lord to safe us and deliver us from all our fears.  The spirit of fear, which is not from the Lord, will at time come upon us in an effort to threaten and paralyse us.  However, with power, love and a sound mind we draw and drink deeply from the wells of our great salvation!  Don't be afraid, DRAW AND DRINK!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for the confidence we have in you!  We need not ever be afraid to draw and drink from your well of salvation whereby our thirst is always quenched.  Amen!

Ps 56:9-12. . . . The very day I call for help, the tide of battle turns. My enemies flee! This one thing I know: God is for me!   I am trusting God-oh, praise his promises! I am not afraid of anything mere man can do to me! Yes, praise his promises.  I will surely do what I have promised, Lord, and thank you for your help. TLB

LIVE IN SAFETY!

1-27-2012. . . .LIVE IN SAFETY!

"For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them; but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm." (Prov 1:32-33 NIV)  People who live wayward lives and don't consider the Lord have good reason to live in fear of what might happen to them.  Conversely, those who consider the Lord and honor Him in all their ways can live without fear knowing that the Lord is their protection.  Live in safety!

PRAYER:  Lord, you are the protector of all those who trust you.  We live in safety and without fear of what man can do to us.  Thank you Lord!  Amen.

Ps 91:1-2. . . .He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.  KJV

A WONDERFUL MODEL!

1-25-2012. . . .A WONDERFUL MODEL!

"We need have no fear of someone who loves us perfectly; his perfect love for us eliminates all dread of what he might do to us. If we are afraid, it is for fear of what he might do to us and shows that we are not fully convinced that he really loves us." (1 John 4:18-19 TLB)  Christ extends His love freely to any and all who will accept it.  If there were reason to fear, He wouldn't have called us near!   What a wonderful model of real love; one we can measure our earthy relationships by as well.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for love us in a way that eliminates our fears.  Help love others in a way that eliminates their fears.  Amen.

1 John 4:17-18. . . .There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. NIV

NOT OUR PERMANENT ADDRESS!

1-24-2012. . . .NOT OUR PERMANENT ADDRESS!

"I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears."  (Ps 34:4 KJV)  It is always a good idea to seek the Lord, but especially so in times when our anxieties have got the best of us.    How comforting  it is to have the presence of our heavenly Father; knowing that when we turn to Him, He hears, responds and brings us out of all our troubles.  Our fears are never our permanent address!

PRAYER: Lord, we are comforted always by your presence.   You always hear, You always respond, You always deliver!  Thank you Lord.  Amen.

Ps 66:19-20. . . . But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.  Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me. KJV

BYE BYE FEAR!

1-23-2011. . . .BYE BYE FEAR!

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." (2 Tim 1:7 KJV)  How to use what we have to defeat fear!   With POWER: Force fear to falter and fail! It's either IT or YOU!  With LOVE: Erase and eradicate all barriers! Love conquers all!   With A SOUND MIND: Think positively and advance through the adversity; reclaim the high ground. Fear should never be on top or out front!  Now, use what you have and say, BYE BYE FEAR!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for giving us everything we need to defeat fear.  Thy kingdom come, thy will be done!  Amen.

Ps 56:3-5. . . .
But when I am afraid, I will put my confidence in you. Yes, I will trust the promises of God. And since I am trusting him, what can mere man do to me?  TLB

BELIEVE THE IMPOSSIBLE!

1-20-2012. . . .BELIEVE THE IMPOSSIBLE!

"
And Abram said, Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?
And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.
And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.
And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.
And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
Gen 15:6 KJV)
The impossible will always remain impossible except we believe!  What seems impossible with us is possible with God.  When we believe, we release God to manifest the impossible in our lives and with the manifestation, comes a great reward!   BELIEVE!

PRAYER: Lord, you are the God who makes the impossible possible.  Help us to always believe and never doubt.  Amen.

Mark 10:27. . . . And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.  KJV

.EYES AND EARS OPEN!

1-19-20112. . . .EYES AND EARS OPEN!

"After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. (Gen 15:1 KJV)  As believers, it would be nice if everything in life was smooth sailing and we never had to go through anything.  Life as a believer however, is not that way.  We will go through things and have to navigate the vicissitudes of life.  As we do, we can be certain that the Lord will always send us a word of affirmation and assurance as He ushers us into the next phase of purpose and destiny.  We must make certain our eyes and ears stay open!

PRAYER: Lord, you are our shield and exceeding great reward.  We thank you for be with us and guiding us through to the next phase of our purpose and destiny.  Amen!

Rom 8:28. . . .
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

WALK ALL THROUGH IT!

1-18-2012. . . .WALK ALL THROUGH IT!

"Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.  Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the LORD. (Gen 13:17-18 KJV)  The blessing of the Lord is before us; arise and walk not just in it, but all through it!  The Lord provides the blessing, but it is up to us to appropriate it in our lives!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for your manifold blessings to us.  Help us to lay hold fully upon the blessings and appropriate them properly into our lives.  Amen!

Prov 10:22. . . .The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. KJV

WE ARE BRETHREN!

1-17-2012. . . .WE ARE BRETHREN!

" And Lot also, which went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents.  And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together.  And there was a strife between the herdmen of Abram's cattle and the herdmen of Lot's cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land.  And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren."   (Gen 13:5-8 KJV)  Believers, we have enough to deal with in the world without having to deal with strife between each other.  Let us remember always that we are brethren and fellow servants of the Lord.   Let us strive to live peaceably with one another.

PRAYER:  Lord, you are the Father of us all.  Help us always remember we are of one family and to always strive to live peaceably with each other.    Amen!

Rom 12:18. . . . If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.  KJV

YOU CAN BE RICH!

1-16-2012. . . .YOU CAN BE RICH!

"And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold." (Gen 13:2 KJV)  Who said you can't be rich and still serve God! We can have possessions as long as we don't allow possessions to have us!  Remember, the Lord delights in the prosperity of His people!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for every blessing we receive.  Help us to never allow the things we possess to possess us!  Nothing is more important than you.  Amen!

Ps 35:27. . . . Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.  KJV

LET GOD HANDLE IT!

1-13-2012. . . .LET GOD HANDLE IT!

"And the LORD plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai Abram's wife.  And Pharaoh called Abram, and said, What is this that thou hast done unto me? why didst thou not tell me that she was thy wife?  Why saidst thou, She is my sister? so I might have taken her to me to wife: now therefore behold thy wife, take her, and go thy way.  And Pharaoh commanded his men concerning him: and they sent him away, and his wife, and all that he had."  (Gen 12:17-20 KJV)  Never pretend to be something or someone that you are not!  It is not necessary!  God called us to be who we are and what we.  We need not feel compelled to justify or defend that to anyone.  God justifies and defends His own.  Let Him handle it!

PRAYER: Lord, you are the justifier and defender of your own.  Help us resist the temptation to do your job for you.  Amen!

Rom 8:30-31. . . . Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.  What shall we then say to these things?  If God be for us, who can be against us? KJV

STAY IN TOUCH WITH GOD!

1-12-2012. . . .STAY IN TOUCH WITH GOD!

"And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him. And he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto the LORD, and called upon the name of the LORD."  (Gen 12:7-8 KJV)  Just because we have heard and obeyed God's initial instructions, does not mean He has nothing else to say on the matter or further instructions to give!  We must stay in constant touch with God.  We must call upon Him often and allow Him to continuously direct our path!  STAY IN TOUCH WITH GOD!

PRAYER: Lord, it is so necessary to always hear from you!  You have commissioned our journey, now please direct our paths.  Amen!

Ps 37:23-24. . . . The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.  Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand. KJV

THE BLESSING IS UPON US!

1-11-2012. . . .THE BLESSING IS UPON US!

"I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you; and the entire world will be blessed because of you."  (Gen 12:3 TLB)  The blessing of Abram (later, Abraham) is upon us!  Those who bless us on our way, God will bless.  Those that curse us on our way, God will take care of them in His own way and in His on time.  Don't loose focus.  Keep pressing forward!  The whole world will be blessed by us!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for the blessing and favor you have placed upon our lives!  Help us to stay focused and carry out your plan for us to bless the whole world.  Amen.

Ps 37:1-5. . . .Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.   For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.  Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.  Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.  Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. KJV

NEVER TO OLD!

1-10-2012. . . .NEVER TO OLD!

"So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran." (Gen 12:4 KJV)  There is no age limit with God!  A willing and trusting spirit is all that is needed!  We are never to old for service to God!

PRAYER: Lord, as long as we live, we are available to you for service.  Amen!

Heb 11:11. . . .Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. KJV

JUST GO!

1-9-2012. . . .JUST GO!

"Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:  And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: (Gen 12:1-2  KJV)  Greater blessings require greater trust and a willingness to leave the comfortable and familiar, and then step into the unseen and unknown!  There is really no risk involved when God calls!  He knows and He is in control!  Like Abram, trust God and JUST GO!

PRAYER: Lord, we trust the plans you have for us!  Help us detach easily from all attachment and affiliations that would hinder us from responded to your commands.  Amen.

Job 28:23-24. . . . God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof.  For he looketh to the ends of the earth, and seeth under the whole heaven; KJV

WE ARE COVERED!

1-6-2012. . . .WE ARE COVERED!

"Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them." (Gen 3:21 KJV) The Lord never leaves His children in need, especially when we are unable to meet that need ourselves.   Although, Adam and Eve's choices caused them to be in the place of need, following correction, the Lord in His loving kindness provided what they obviously could not provide for their self.  Such is still the case today!  Man without Christ is in the place of need and God has provided for that need through His son, Jesus the Christ.  In Him we are covered!

PRAYER: Lord, we thank you for your faithfulness and loving kindness.  Thank you for always covering us in times where we cannot provide for ourselves.  Thank you for this great salvation!  Amen.

John 3:16-17. . . .

For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son so that anyone who believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.

ALWAYS OBEY GOD!

1-5-12. . . .ALWAYS OBEY GOD!

"And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.  And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat." (Gen 3:12-13 KJV)  Our choices have consequences! No amount of finger pointing and playing the blame game will bring about exoneration.  Wise decision making on the front end will avert the certainty of consequential disciplinary action on the back end!   The lesson: Always obey God!

PRAYER: Lord, you are just and true in all your ways and your love for us is unfailing.  Remember always your unfailing love to us should you every have to discipline us.  Amen!

Prov 3:11-12. . . . My son, do not despise the LORD's discipline and do not resent his rebuke, because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.  NIV

WHO TOLD YOU THAT YOU WERE NAKED!

1-4-2012. . . .WHO TOLD YOU THAT YOU WERE NAKED!

"And he said, "Who told you that you were naked?  Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?" (Gen 3:11 NIV)  We must be careful who we listen to, especially when it comes to defining who and what we are!  Although, what is said by others may bare some modicum of truth, the context and content may have sinister intentions.  Through our own choices we can place ourselves in a position to be defined by others.   However, knowing God's voice, listening and diligently obeying His commands will keep us in a place where we are never ashamed of who He alone has defined us to be.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for making us who we are.  Help us to remain true to who you have defined us to be and never listen to or allow others to redefine us.  Amen!

Gen 1:26-27. . . . Then God said,"Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."  So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.  NKJV

ADAM, WHERE ART THOU!

1-3-2012. . . .ADAM, WHERE ART THOU!

"And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?" (Gen 3:9 KJV)  The all knowing God always knows where we are.  The real question is, do we know where we are?  Here are some questions to ponder as we begin a new year!   Are we in the place God assigned us to be?  Are we doing what God called us to do?  Being out of place is detrimental to destiny!  The future is what lies ahead; destiny is what God has planned ahead!  Adam, Where are thou?

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for another year.  Direct our steps always in the paths of destiny.  Amen!

Prov 3:4-6. . . .If you want favor with both God and man, and a reputation for good judgment and common sense, then trust the Lord completely; don't ever trust yourself. 6 In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success. TLB
