EVIDENCE!

5-28-2021. . . .EVIDENCE!

"To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good. (Titus 1:15-16 NIV)

In a court of law, evidence is required in order to convict someone of an offense.  Likewise, evidence is required to convince the world we really know God!  Regrettably, our pandemic witness did little to advance that end.  Time to rethink, reposition, and represent what we really believe!

Prayer: Lord, may the life we live and the good works we do be clear evidence to the world that you are God and we are your children.  Amen!

Luke 6:43-45. . . ."No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit.   Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers.   The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.

GOD'S GOT ME!

5-27-2021. . . .GOD'S GOT ME!

"Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed. I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with my victorious right hand."  (Isa 41:10 TLB)

No matter how serious the challenge or how mighty the enemy, we need not fear because God, by His own volition, has chosen to help us! He promises strength, help, and most importantly, victory!  Put it in the atmosphere for yourself!  GOT'S GOT ME!

Prayer: Lord, you are my strength, my help, my Victory!  Thank you for choosing to be on my side!  Amen.

Ps 27:1-3. . . .The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?  When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.  Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.  KJV

MUCH BETTER!

5-26-2021. . . .MUCH BETTER!

"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."  (Jer 29:11 TLB)

Don't doubt your future, believe in it!  It's not in our hands, it's in His hands; and it looks much better than what we can see right now!  MUCH BETTER!

PRAYER: Lord, when our present challenges cause us to become short sighted about our future, help us to yet trust your word and remember that it will prevail until it is fulfilled!  Amen.

Prov 3:5-6. . . . Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.  KJV

RELEASE IT NOW!

5-25-2021. . . . RELEASE IT NOW!

"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. . . ." (Eph 3:20 KJV)

Stop holding on and trying to work out things that only God can do.  Release it to Him now, and your faith in Him along with it!

PRAYER: Lord, by your mighty power alone you are able to do far more than we could every, ask, think, or imagine.  Your will be done.  Amen!

Matt 19:26. . . . But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. KJV

LIFE LESSON!

6-21-2021. . . .LIFE LESSON!

"Don't criticize, and then you won't be criticized.  For others will treat you as you treat them.  And why worry about a speck in the eye of a brother when you have a board in your own?  (Matt 7:1-3 TLB)

This life lesson is one we would all do well to learn and live by.  "Love your neighbor as yourself; treat others as you would want to be treated!"

PRAYER: Lord, help us to live together in peace and harmony always.  Amen.

Matt 22:37-39. . . . Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.  This is the first and great commandment.   And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. KJV

SPEED BUMPS!

5-20-2021. . . . SPEED BUMPS!

“Don't be impatient for the Lord to act! Keep traveling steadily along his pathway and in due season he will honor you with every blessing, and you will see the wicked destroyed. I myself have seen it happen: a proud and evil man, towering like a cedar of Lebanon, but when I looked again, he was gone! I searched but could not find him! But the good man-what a different story! For the good man-the blameless, the upright, the man of peace-he has a wonderful future ahead of him. For him there is a happy ending.” (Ps 37:34-38 TLB)

Did you think or expect to arrive at your destiny without running into any difficulty or challenges? It would be nice, but unrealistic and unfruitful. The truth is, there are many things to learn on the road to our destiny and we would miss them all if we did not run into a ‘speed bump’ every now and then. Speed bumps are designed to slow us down when we are traveling to fast through certain zones.  Are you currently in a zone where you feel you should be progressing much faster, but for some reason, no matter what you do, things are moving at a much slower pace then you would like.  Perhaps you have hit a speed bump. Instead of being frustrated and fighting against the current, slow down and take careful notice of what is happening and going on around you.  It is for your good and will equip you with the knowledge and experience needed to continue on your journey towards your destiny.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for ordering our steps as well as, our stops!  Help us to be patient and learn what we need to learn when we are in a slow zone. Amen!

Ps 37:23-24. . . . The steps of good men are directed by the Lord. He delights in each step they take. If they fall it isn't fatal, for the Lord holds them with his hand. TLB

KEEP THE PRIORITIES STRAIGHT!

5-19-2021. . . .KEEP THE PRIORITIES STRAIGHT!

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?” (Matt 6:25-26 NIV)

Food, water, and clothing while essential for sustaining life, should never be elevated to a level of priority above life itself!  The clothes one wears does not make the person. . . .it’s the person (life) that makes the clothes!  Keep the priorities straight!  Place more emphasis on the essence of life rather than the things of life!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for the privilege of life!  Help us keep our priorities straight and put more emphasis on the essence of life rather than the things of life! Amen!

Matt 6:25. . . .Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? KJV

DO, BE, BECOME!

5-18-2021. . . .DO, BE, BECOME!

"For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure." (Phil 2:13 KJV)

Accomplishing God's purpose is made possible by God Himself working within us.  H gives us that needed enabling power that energizes our will to do, be and become!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for working within us to accomplish your divine will and purpose.  Amen!

Eph 1:7-10. . . . In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence,  having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth -- in Him.  NKJV

A POWERFUL RESOURCE!

5-14-2021. . . .A POWERFUL RESOURCE!

"Admit your faults to one another and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous man has great power and wonderful results." (James 5:16 TLB)

The righteous always have a powerful resource at their disposal; Prayer!  Not nebulous words falling from our lips, but powerful declarations and request that reach God's ear and prompt His response!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for being on the side of the righteous.  Thank you for hearing and responding to our prayers.  Amen!

Jer 33:3. . . .Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. KJV

DON’T WORRY DON’T DOUBT!

5-13-2021. . . .DON'T WORRY DON'T DOUBT!

"The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry; the face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.  The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.  (Ps 34:15-17 NIV)

God never takes his eyes off the righteous!  He sees everything that is happening and will in His own time, deliver us out of every trouble.  So Righteous, don't ever worry and don't doubt.  The Lord is bring us out!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for always keeping your eyes on us.  Nothing happens with us or to us that you do not see and respond to when we call.  Thank you for promised deliverance.  Amen!

Prov 11:8. . . .The righteous man is rescued from trouble, and it comes on the wicked instead. NIV

LIVE IT OUT!

5-12-2021. . . .LIVE IT OUT!

"It is God himself who has made us what we are and given us new lives from Christ Jesus; and long ages ago he planned that we should spend these lives in helping others." (Eph 2:10 TLB)

God created us on purpose and with purpose.  We fully live out that purpose by extending ourselves to help others.  Live it out!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for creating us on purpose and with purpose!  Help us live out that purpose by helping others.  Amen!

Eccl 4:9-10. . . . Two can accomplish more than twice as much as one, for the results can be much better. 10 If one falls, the other pulls him up; but if a man falls when he is alone, he's in trouble. TLB

WHO WANTS TO BE A STAR!

5-11-2021. . . .WHO WANTS TO BE A STAR!

"And those who are wise-the people of God-shall shine as brightly as the sun's brilliance, and those who turn many to righteousness will glitter like stars forever. (Dan 12:3 TLB)

When we take a stand for righteousness, we may endure persecution and ridicule bur, there is coming a day when we will shine as brightly as any star!  Now, who wants to be a star!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for our coming glory.  Stay with us as we endure our test and trials in this present world.  We look forward to being one of your stars!  Amen.

Rom 8:18-19. . . . Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will give us later.  For all creation is waiting patiently and hopefully for that future day when God will resurrect his children. TLB

BE DONE AND MOVE ON!

5-7-2021. . . .BE DONE AND MOVE ON!

"Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all" (Ps 34:19 KJV)

The life of the righteous is not without its challenges and rightfully so.  We too must go through difficulties and problems.  As we go through, however, we are assured we will get through because the LORD promised it!  So go through, get through, be done and move on!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for deliverance from all our afflictions.  With the assurance of your promise we endure and press on!  Amen.

Ps 23:4. . . .Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.  KJV

DOING BETTER!

5-6-2021. . . .DOING BETTER!

"The father of a righteous man has great joy; he who has a wise son delights in him. May your father and mother be glad; may she who gave you birth rejoice!" (Prov 23:24-25)

Is the life we are currently living bringing joy to our parents?  If our life is not pleasing to our earthly parents, it stands to reason we are not at all pleasing to our heavenly Father.  In our formative years we perhaps didn't know any better; but now that we know better, we should be doing better!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for our parents!  Help us live in such a way that it brings them joy continuously and ultimately, honors you!  Amen.

Ex 20:12. . . ."Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you."  NIV

CATCH IT AND HOLD IT!

5-5-2021. . . .CATCH IT AND HOLD IT!

“Turn away from evil and do good. Try to live in peace even if you must run after it to catch and hold it!” (1 Peter 3:11-12TLB)

An evil that is blatantly evil is not difficult to turn away from. However, evil appearing to be good on the front end, not so much!  What was that the Apostle Paul said, “the good I would, I do not and the evil I would not, that I do!)  What seems good on the front end is nothing more than a robber of your peace in disguise!   Don’t let your peace get away! Catch it and hold it!!!! Never let go of it, no matter how good the evil may appear to be.

Prayer: Lord, even as Jabez prayed, keep us from evil and help us to pursue peace at all times. Amen!

Heb 12:14. . . . Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: KJV

KEEP TRUSTING!

4-4-2021. . . .KEEP TRUSTING!

"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him." (Job 13:15 KJV)

Circumstances even leading to death do not justify compromising our trust in God.  If we die, we are with Him; and if we live, we are yet trusting Him.  Keep Trusting Him until the end no matter what!  He does not and He will not fail!

PRAYER: Lord, I will trust you forever!  Amen.

Ps 3:1-3. . . .LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.  Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.  But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. KJV
