EVIDENCE!

9-28-2012. . . .EVIDENCE!

"So also is my Word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It shall accomplish all I want it to and prosper everywhere I send it."  (Isa 55:11-12 TLB)  If the word were prosecuted, it would always be found guilty because it always leaves evidence where ever it has been!  How much evidence can be found in us?

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for your proceeding and prevailing word.  May there be much evidence of its presence found in our lives.  Amen!

Ps 119:15-16. . . .I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.  I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.  KJV

THE WORD IS THE WORD!

9-27-2012. . . .THE WORD IS THE WORD!

"You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you." (Deut 4:2-3 NKJV) The word is the word!  We cannot change or adjust it to fit our own personal agendas; nor can we tailor it to justify and under-gird our selfish beliefs and doctrines.  Again, the word is the word!  Receive  it - believe it - follow it!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for your word.  It is what it is!  We receive it, we believe it, and with all our power we will follow it.  Amen!

Ps 33:4-5. . . . For the word of the LORD is right, And all His work is done in truth.  He loves righteousness and justice; The earth is full of the goodness of the LORD. NKJV

ILLUMINATION AND DIRECTION!

9-26-2012. . . .ILLUMINATION AND DIRECTION!

"How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!  Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.  Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.  (Ps 119:103-105 KJV)  One can't go wrong whose light and lamp is God's words.  Every step with it as our guide brings fresh illumination and clear direction to our destination.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for your word; for illumination and direction.  Amen!

Ps 119:114. . . .Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word. KJV

FAITH BEYOND FACTS!

9-25-2012. . . .FAITH BEYOND FACTS!

"By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. (Heb 11:3 NKJV)  Archaeology, Anthropology, Paleontology and other discovery sciences (as wonderful as they are) glean their knowledge from the study things that exist or once existed. Great facts have been obtained that way!  However, to understand the true origin of all things requires faith beyond facts!

PRAYER: Lord, by faith we know and understand all things.  No science could ever inform us as well as your word can.  Thank you for your word.  Amen.

Ps 33:6-8. . . .By the word of the LORD were the heavens made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth.   He gathers the waters of the sea into jars; he puts the deep into storehouses.  Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the people of the world revere him. NIV

THE GREAT REVEAL!

9-24-2012. . . .THE GREAT REVEAL!

"For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account." (Heb 4:12-13) Whatever we try to conceal, the word can and will reveal!  Call it the Great Reveal!

PRAYER: Lord, there is nothing like your word!  Thank you for revealing what we've tried to conceal.  Amen!

Ps 119:17-18. . . .Do good to your servant, and I will live; I will obey your word.  Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law. NIV)

COMPLETE CONFIDENCE!

9-21-2012. . . .COMPLETE CONFIDENCE!

"Lord, have mercy on me; all day long the enemy troops press in. So many are proud to fight against me; how they long to conquer me. But when I am afraid, I will put my confidence in you. Yes, I will trust the promises of God. And since I am trusting him, what can mere man do to me? (Ps 56:1-5 TLB)  There will be times when from every direction, nothing but enemies will be confronting us.  Knowing in advance that God is all we need before we reach a point where we realize God is all we've got, is reassuring and makes it easy to put full trust and complete confidence in Him.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for being on our side and being all that we need.  Our complete trust and confidence is in you.  Amen!

Rom 8:31. . . .What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?  KJV

DON'T BLOCK ANY ENTRANCES!

9-20-2012. . . .DON'T BLOCK ANY ENTRANCES!

"Lift up your head, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.  Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. (Ps 24:7-8 KJV) If there is a battle to be fought, be sure all doors are open for the Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle to come in.  If you want victory, Don't block any entrances!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for victory in every battle.  Glad we step aside and welcome you in to do what you only can do!  Thank you for victory in our battles!  Amen!

1 Cor 15:57-58. . . .But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.  Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.   KJV

HANG IN THERE!

9-18-2012. . . .HANG IN THERE!

"Do not let this happy trust in the Lord die away, no matter what happens. Remember your reward!  You need to keep on patiently doing God's will if you want him to do for you all that he has promised." (Heb 10:35-37 TLB)  We've come to far to give up, in, or out and to turn around now!  No, it is not always easy, but it is worth the fight!  Hang in there, for the greater blessings and reward are in front of us!

PRAYER: Lord, sometimes it gets really really hard to keep trusting you.  Not because of You, (for you are faithful) but because of the insecurities within us.  We want to be in control!  (As if we know and can influence the outcome of our affairs)  Have mercy on us and give us your peace as we submit both willingly and unwillingly to your will.  Amen!

Heb 10:32-34. . . .Don't ever forget those wonderful days when you first learned about Christ. Remember how you kept right on with the Lord even though it meant terrible suffering.  Sometimes you were laughed at and beaten, and sometimes you watched and sympathized with others suffering the same things.  You suffered with those thrown into jail, and you were actually joyful when all you owned was taken from you, knowing that better things were awaiting you in heaven, things that would be yours forever. TLB

SERVICE AND OBEDIENCE!

9-18-2012. . . .SERVICE AND OBEDIENCE!

"And so my advice is, leave these men alone. If what they teach and do is merely on their own, it will soon be overthrown. But if it is of God, you will not be able to stop them, lest you find yourselves fighting even against God." (Acts 5:38-39 TLB)  Although, we may not like or agree with decisions our leaders make or directions our leaders take, it doesn't mean they are not being lead by God.  God has not called us to agreement, but to service and obedience.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for set men and women who you alone have appointed and anointed to be our leaders.  Help us to be their help and not their hindrance!  Amen.

Heb 13:17. . . .Obey your spiritual leaders and be willing to do what they say. For their work is to watch over your souls, and God will judge them on how well they do this. Give them reason to report joyfully about you to the Lord and not with sorrow, for then you will suffer for it too. TLB

A PROVEN WINNER!

9-17-2012. . . .A PROVEN WINNER!

"The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace." (Ex 14:14 KJV)  Resist the temptation to take matters into your own hands! Ask these two questions: How many battles have I fought and lost; and,  How many battles has He fought and won?  If God said He will fight for you, HE WILL FIGHT FOR YOU!  Go with a proven winner!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for being on our side!  Not one battle have you ever lost.  Help us to resist the temptation to take matters into our own hands.  Amen!

2 Chron 32:7-8. . . . "Be strong, be brave, and do not be afraid of the king of Assyria or his mighty army, for there is someone with us who is far greater than he is! 8 He has a great army, but they are all mere men, while we have the Lord our God to fight our battles for us!" This greatly encouraged them. TLB

THE LAST WORD!

9-14-2012. . . .THE LAST WORD!

"Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.  And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.  And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.  And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go. (John 11:41-44 KJV)  It is never to late for the Lord to speak life into a dead situation!   Trust Him who is the way - the truth - and the life; let His be the last word!

PRAYER: Lord, your are the way, truth, and life!  Therefore, no dead situation is beyond your ability to speak life into it!  Our trust is in you who has the last word!  Amen.

John 11:25-26. . . .Jesus told her, "I am the one who raises the dead and gives them life again. Anyone who believes in me, even though he dies like anyone else, shall live again. TLB

MAKE A DEMONSTRATION!

9-13-2012. . . .A DEMONSTRATION!

"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." (1 Peter 2:9-10 NIV)  Every believer is Chosen, Royal and Holy!  Not that we should think more highly of ourselves then we should, but we owe the world a demonstration!  So, humbly, but yet proudly, make a DEMONSTRATION daily!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for calling us out of darkness and into the wonderful light of your presence.  We will humbly and gladly make a demonstration to the world!

1 Peter 1:14-16. . . . As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. 15 But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16 for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy."   NIV

ADHERE TO THE CALL!

9-12-2012. . . .ADHERE TO THE CALL!

"For God has not called us to be dirty-minded and full of lust but to be holy and clean.  If anyone refuses to live by these rules, he is not disobeying the rules of men but of God who gives his Holy Spirit to you. (1 Thess 4:7-8 TLB) Stinking think is not one of God's rules!  Adhere to the call!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for calling us to a higher standard and living.  Help us to always adhere to your call.  Amen!

Heb 12:14-17. . . .Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:  Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;  Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.   For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.  KJV

MAKE A DECISION!

9-11-2012. . . .MAKE A DECISION!

"Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord."  (Heb 12:14-15 NIV)  Being and living holy a is not something that occurs automatically; it requires a decision to do so and effort to see it through.  We must make a decision to to live and be holy.   Our decision will then affect our behavior.  If our expectation is to see the Lord, we must make a decision!

Prayer: Lord, our decision has been made to pursue peace and to be and live holy.  Thank you for you love, mercy, and patience with us.  Amen!

Heb 12:14-15. . . . Try to stay out of all quarrels, and seek to live a clean and holy life, for one who is not holy will not see the Lord. TLB

A BLESSED LIFE!

9-10-2012. . . .A BLESSED LIFE!

DEDECATED TO:
DECONESS CATHERINE ROSS
1922 -2012

"The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away." (Ps 90:10 KJV)  The strength of a life lived beyond seventy or eighty, is evidence that the joy of the Lord has been resident there!  Sleep on and rest well blessed Saints that die in the Lord!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for the privilege of experiencing seasoned Saints who have lived their lives as a testament of faith and trust in you!  May we all be so privileged to live.  Amen!

Rev 14:13. . . ..And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. KJV

PERSONAL PARTICIPATION!

9-7-2012. . . .PERSONAL PARTICIPATION!

"His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.  And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.  Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.  And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast.  And they bare it. (John 2:5-8 KJV) There will be no miracle without our personal participation.  The Lord will do His part and we must do ours.

PRAYER: Lord, you are a miracle worker.  Whatever you ask us to do, we will do it!  Thank you for working a miracle for us.  Amen!

Acts 2:22. . . . "O men of Israel, listen! God publicly endorsed Jesus of Nazareth by doing tremendous miracles through him, as you well know. TLB

SIMPLY, GOD POSSIBLE!

9-6-2012. . . .SIMPLY, GOD POSSIBLE!

"And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.  And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full."  (Matt 14:19-20 KJV)  There are some things that are just simply, 'God Possible.'  Ours is not to try and conceive it, ours is to place our all in His capable hands and leave it.   A miracle will result.

PRAYER: Lord, we trust and place our all in your capable hands and expect the unexpected.  Amen!

Mark 10:27. . . . And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.  KJV

MIRACLE PRODUCING FAITH!

9-5-2012. . . .MIRACLE PRODUCING FAITH!

"And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.  And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way. (Mark 10:51-11:1 KJV) Never underestimate the power of faith!  Faith energizes the power of God on our behalf and produces miracles!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for powerful miracle producing faith!  Amen!

Heb 11:1. . . .What is faith? It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead. TLB

A GOOD TEACHER!

9-4-2012. . . .A GOOD TEACHER!

"And even though Jesus was God's Son, he had to learn from experience what it was like to obey when obeying meant suffering."  (Heb 5:8-9 TLB)  Obedience is not always convenient or comfortable, but it is a good teacher!

Prayer: Lord, although obedience to you may sometimes require suffering and sacrifice, help us to learn our lessons well.  Amen!

Philem 21. . . Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say. KJV
