REGARDLESS!

4-27-2023. . . .REGARDLESS!

"LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.  Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.  But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head." (Ps 3:1-3 KJV)

Regardless of what the enemy may think, say, or do, we decree and declare that God is our shield and our help!  Although at times, circumstances may cause our heads to hang down, our God will lift up our heads in vindication!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for being our very present help in times of trouble!  Touch, heal, and comfort now your people everywhere and may your glory be revealed. Amen!

Ps 46:1-6. . . .God is our refuge and strength, a tested help in times of trouble. 2 And so we need not fear even if the world blows up and the mountains crumble into the sea. 3 Let the oceans roar and foam; let the mountains tremble!  There is a river of joy flowing through the city of our God-the sacred home of the God above all gods. God himself is living in that city; therefore it stands unmoved despite the turmoil everywhere. He will not delay his help.  TLB

.IT'S GETTING BRIGHTER!

 4-25-23. . . .IT'S GETTING BRIGHTER!

"Eternal life is in him, and this life gives light to all mankind.  His life is the light that shines through the darkness-and the darkness can never extinguish it."  (John 1:3-5 TLB)

Jesus our Savior, is our light giver! Our mind, heart, soul and spirit is illuminated daily with the light of eternal life.  We are not simply living out the days of our lives like sand through an hour glass.  Rather, like a fisherman casts out his line into the water and slowly draws it in again, so we have been cast into the sea of physical life and are being slowly drawn back into eternal life.  The closer we get, the brighter the light! Behold: things are getting brighter!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for giving us life and light! Illuminate us daily with the light of eternal life.  May each day we live get brighter and brighter!  Amen.

1 John 5:11-12. . . . This is the testimony in essence: God gave us eternal life; the life is in his Son.  So, whoever has the Son, has life; whoever rejects the Son, rejects life.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US!

Friday, April 21, 2023

BE WISE!

 4-21-2023. . . .BE WISE!

"Say there!  Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink-even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine and milk-it's all free!  Why spend your money on food that doesn't give you strength?  Why pay for groceries that do you no good?   Listen and I'll tell you where to get good food that fattens up the soul!"  (Isa 55:1-2 TLB)

There are some things that money just can't buy no matter how much of it one has!  The things that money can't buy are far more valuable then the things it can.  Money can buy temporal things, but not eternal ones.  Be wise and keep both in proper perspective!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for temporal things and the money to purchase them.  We are even more thankful for the things you give us that are eternal.  Help us to be wise and keep both in proper perspective.  Amen!

2 Cor 4:17-18. . . . For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;  While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.  KJV

.FORGIVEN AND NOT FORGOTTEN!

 4-20-2023. . . .FORGIVEN AND NOT FORGOTTEN!

"And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?"  (Matt 27:46 KJV)

God and sin cannot coexist.  Sin has and always will bring about separation from God!  No need to single out this sin over that sin, ALL unrighteousness is sin!  It was necessary for Jesus to be forsaken because He became sin for us although, He knew no sin.  Thankfully, He was forsaken, but not forgotten.  He rose from the grave with all power to save!  In our sins we are separated and forsaken. . . .In His Grace we are forgiven and not forgotten!

PRAYER:  Lord, how grateful we are for your grace!  Were it not for your grace, we would forever remain separated from you.  Where sin abounded however, your grace did much more abound!  Amen!

2 Cor 5:21. . . . For God took the sinless Christ and poured into him our sins. Then, in exchange, he poured God's goodness into us!  TLB

IF WE TRULY WANT TO!

4-18-2023. . . .IF WE TRULY WANT TO!

"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us"(Heb 12:1 KJV)

"The Sin". . . . that nagging thing that if continually allowed, will always take us down and hinder us from reaching and obtaining all God has for us.  Don't just pray about it, do something about it!  The power is within us to lay it aside if we truly want to; the real question is, do we truly want to?

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for making it possible for us to walk in righteousness.  May our desire to please you always over ride our desire to please ourselves.  Amen!

1 Chron 4:10. . . . And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested. KJV

THE AGING PROCESS!

Friday, April 14, 2023

BE AWARE, BE PREPAR

 5-14-2023. . . .BE AWARE, BE PREPARED!

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven." (Eccl 3:1 KJV)

In life things change and nothing stays the same.  To live life without anticipation and expectation of such, is to live life being constantly caught off guard and unprepared for any future opportunities and inevitable opposition.  Therefore, be aware and prepared mentally, physically, financially, and most importantly, spiritually.  In all things trust God who controls our times and seasons!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for giving us wisdom to understand that all things in life change!  Help us to always be aware and prepared for change when it comes.  Amen!

Dan 2:20-21. . . ."Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons; he sets up kings and deposes them.  He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning." (NIV)

THE FINISHED PRODUCT!

 4-13-2023. . . .THE FINISHED PRODUCT!

"And I am sure that God who began the good work within you will keep right on helping you grow in his grace until his task within you is finally finished on that day when Jesus Christ returns."  (Phil 1:5-6 TLB)

How do you like us now?  At different stages in our christian development, the answers to this question we receive from people may vary drastically.  One thing is for certain however, as Christians, we are being changed daily for the better; Christ himself is doing the work!   Hey world, just wait until you see the finished product!   It will be glorious!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for the work you have started in us, and for your never ending commitment to completing what you started.  Amen!

2 Cor 5:17. . . . Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.  KJV

The Omnificent God!

 4-12-2023 . . . . The Omnificent God!

“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. (Isa 43:18-19 KJV)

When we think about the attributes of our awesome God, three commonly known ones come immediately to mind. OMNIPOTANT. . . .having all power and authority. . .OMNISCIENT . . . .having all knowledge. . . .OMNIPRESENT. . . .continually and simultaneously present everywhere.  A forth attribute is OMNIFICENT. . . .having ultimate power to create! Our God who created everything, even in this present age, possesses the power to create. We take for granted that because all we see and know has already been created, that there is nothing else left to be created!  By doing so however, we limit God and we limit ourselves from the possibilities of allowing God to create something totally new and different in our lives. No circumstance or situation can be deemed hopeless on the basis that we have exhausted all humanly possible options. The ‘OMNIFICENT’ God can still, as the old adage goes, “Make a way out of no way!”

Prayer: Lord you are awesome in all your ways. Who You are is who You have always been and will always be. I need never find myself in a place of hopelessness and helplessness. You are my all and all! Amen.

Ps 145:1-6. . . .I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness. KJV

LIFE'S POTENTIAL!

4-11-2023. . . .LIFE'S POTENTIAL!

"Moses was 120 years old when he died, yet his eyesight was perfect and he was as strong as a young man." (Deut 34:7-8 TLB)

With God, all things are possible even life-long health, strength and prosperity.  Don't allow bad life choices to diminish life's potential!   When we take care of God's business, God takes care of us!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for giving us life-long health, strength and prosperity in order that we may carry out and complete your divine purpose in us!  Amen!

Mark 10:27. . . .And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. KJV

THEM AND US

4-7-2023. . . .THEM AND US!

"May God who gives patience, steadiness, and encouragement help you to live in complete harmony with each other-each with the attitude of Christ toward the other." (Rom 15:5-6 TLB)

It's not always easy getting along with others!  Sometime it is because of them, other times (if we are honest) it is because of us. The truth of the matter is, God is still working on them and us.  Remember, He will give us the patience we need until the process is complete in them and us.

Prayer: Lord, you are the God of patience, strength and encouragement.  Thank you for being patient with us and guiding us in being patient with others. Amen!

James 1:4. . . .But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.  KJV

BE WISE!

 4-6-2023. . . .BE WISE!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for temporal things and the money to purchase them.  Thank you more so for the things you give us that are eternal.

KJV

DO GOOD!

 4-5-23. . . .DO GOOD!

“Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act.” (Prov 3:27 NIV)

What a thought provoking verse of scripture. Would we ever really consider withholding good from anyone, let alone those that deserve it?  To do so, especially when it is in our power to act would absolutely be out of character for a believer.   In fact, one would set themselves up for a boomerang effect.  What we send out will return to us. Certainly, we expect good from others and even more so from God. The consequences for doing otherwise is unacceptable. “Do good, O LORD, to those who are good, to those who are upright in heart. But those who turn to crooked ways the LORD will banish with the evildoers.” (Ps 125:4-5 NIV) Today, seek out as many people as you can and do good to them. It does not have to be something big. Perhaps a genuine warm smile. . . .a timely kind word. . . .taking a little extra work for yourself to lighten a co-workers load. They will receive good and you will feel good!

Prayer: Lord, you are good and you do good! Help me to do good always especially when it is in my power to do so. Holy Spirit, direct me today to opportunities of doing good to others. Amen!

Heb 13:16. . . . And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. NIV

WHAT GOD SAYS HE MEANS

4-4-2023. . . .WHAT GOD SAYS HE MEANS!

"Stay away from the love of money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, "I will never, never fail you nor forsake you." That is why we can say without any doubt or fear, "The Lord is my Helper, and I am not afraid of anything that mere man can do to me."  (Heb 13:5-6 TLB)

What God says, He means!  We can depend on His word.  If He says He is with us, He is not merely there in presence, but also there as our resource and help.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for your abiding presence and for being an ever present help to us.  We are comforted in knowing you will never leave nor forsake us.  Amen!

Rom 8:31-32. . . .What can we ever say to such wonderful things as these? If God is on our side, who can ever be against us? TLB
