SET, SETTLED, STRENGTHENED!

12-31-2011. . . .SET, SETTLED, STRENGTHENED!

"Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.  But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul." (Heb 10:38-39 KJV)  As we embark upon this new year, we the just, do so with unwavering determination to carry out the mandate to live by faith!   We have SET ourselves, (made a decision to stand no matter what); We have SETTLED ourselves, (placed ourselves in firm position for something greater); STRENGTHENED ourselves, (empowered ourselves by and through the word of God).  We enter this new year with EXPECTATION (20 the number of expectation) knowing that God by His divine authority is going to change the rules!  What once worked against us, will now work for us! (12 the number of divine authority and appointment; governmental foundation and perfection).   Advancement, promotion, change and establishment is coming to the SET, SETTLED and STRENGTHENED!  You are ready, you are set, now go in faith and go in God!  HAPPY NEW YEAR!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for a brand new year!  You have always been in control and we acknowledge that you are sovereign.  By faith we now walk through this year and every year you bless us to see.  Thy will be done!  Amen.

Heb 10:35-39. . . . Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.  For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.  For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.  Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.  But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.  KJV

ONLY JESUS CAN!

12-22-2011. . . .ONLY JESUS CAN!

Acts 4:122. . . . Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. KJV   "Santa Claus can't bring Salvation. . . .Only Jesus Can!"  He's the only reason for the Christmas Season!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for the true gift of you Son. Through Him alone comes salvation.  May all the world receive your great gift.  Amen!

Acts 4:11-12. . . .For Jesus the Messiah is (the one referred to in the Scriptures when they speak of ) a 'stone discarded by the builders which became the capstone of the arch.'    There is salvation in no one else! Under all heaven there is no other name for men to call upon to save them."  TLB

CHRISTMAS LIVING!

12-21-2011. . . .CHRISTMAS LIVING!

"His purpose in all of this is that they should seek after God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him-though he is not far from any one of us. For in him we live and move and are! (Acts 17:27-28 TLB)    "Christmas Living is the best kind of Christmas Giving."

Prayer: Father, thank you for giving your Son. Jesus, thank you for giving your life! May my live duplicate your example of sacrificial giving. Amen!

Acts 4:32. . . .All the believers were of one heart and mind, and no one felt that what he owned was his own; everyone was sharing.TLB

WISE MEN STILL SEEK HIM!

12-21-2010. . . .WISE MEN STILL SEEK HIM!

"Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him." (Matt 2:1-2 KJV)   If only all men were as wise as these. What are we seeking? Who are we seeking and who's sign are we following?  More importantly, where will we end up by following them?  "Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon." (Isa 55:6-7 KJV)  Wise men still seek Him!

Prayer: Father, thank you for the gift of your Son! May we forever lift Him up that He may drawn all men unto Him! Amen.

Isa 55:6-9. . . .Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call upon him now while he is near. Let men cast off their wicked deeds; let them banish from their minds the very thought of doing wrong! Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy upon them, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon! "This plan of mine is not what you would work out, neither are my thoughts the same as yours! For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than yours, and my thoughts than yours. TLB

NO ROOM IN THE INN!

12-20-2010. . . ..NO ROOM IN THE INN!

"And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn." (Luke 2:7 KJV)  No room for them in the inn?  Jesus the Christ....waiting to be born, but men say, 'No room in the inn'. Our lives should never become so inundated, occupied or otherwise obligated to the degree that we have no room for Him?  Are we busy this Christmas season filling our homes with gifts from the mall instead of filling our hearts with the gift of Him? Is there still, 'NO ROOM IN THE INN?

Prayer: Father, thank you for the greatest gift of all, your Son, Jesus the Christ! May all creation make room and readily receive Him. Amen!

John 1:10-12. . . .He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: KJV

HIS WORD ENDURES FOR EVER!

12-16-2011. . . .HIS WORD ENDURES FOR EVER!

"For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:  But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you." (1 Peter 1:24-25 KJV)  Everything we have is temporary and will pass away.  Somethings sooner, other things later, but all will pass away.  There is however, one thing we have that will never pass away and that is New Life which came about by His word!  Our 'New Life' from Him, will continue into,'Eternal Life' with Him.  It's certain, because His word endures for ever!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for the certainty of your word that endures for ever!  We live out our new lives for you now and look forward with joy, to living our eternal life with you in the place you've prepared for us!  Amen.

Heb 12:27-29. . . . And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.   Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:   For our God is a consuming fire. A POWERFUL KEY!

12-15-2011. . . .A POWERFUL KEY!

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. (Mark 11:24 KJV) One should not deduct that whatever is desired no matter what it is, can be received. That's simply not true. Our desires must be in line with God's will. The key point here is that one 'Believes' in association with what one prays. Why pray if you don't believe what you say you will see? We have a powerful key. . . .just, Believe!

Prayer: Lord, thank you that you hear and answer our prayers. We believe you through faith and stand in expectation of receiving those things we desire. Amen!

Mark 11:22-24 24. . . .Listen to me! You can pray for anything, and if you believe, you have it; it's yours! TLB

DIVINE PURPOSE WILL PREVAIL!

12-11-2009. . . .DIVINE PURPOSE WILL PREVAIL!

"Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men." (Matt 2:166 KJV)
Divine purpose will always draw demonic opposition!  The good news is, no matter what the enemy does to try to stop us, and no matter how many attempts he makes to try and kill us, all his efforts will fail and Divine purpose will prevail!

PrayerLord, thank you that your divine purpose concerning us will always prevail! Thy will be done. Amen!

Isa 54:17. . . .No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. KJV

COMPLETE SUBMISSION!

12-13-2011. . . .COMPLETE SUBMISSION!

"Mary said, "I am the Lord's servant, and I am willing to do whatever he wants. May everything you said come true." And then the angel disappeared." (Luke 1:38 TLB) We may not understand everything that the Lord speaks to us or desires to do through us. In fact, some things may be virtually inconceivable to us. Nevertheless, as Mary responded, we too should respond in complete submission. 'I am your servant' therefore, whatever you say is what I will do!' In so doing, blessings come to us and through us!

Prayer: Lord let your awesome will be done in me and through me. I am your servant. Thy will be done. Amen!

Ps 138:8. . . .The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.KJV

ABILITY AND AVAILABILITY!

12-13-2011. . .ABILITY AND AVAILABILITY!

"And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.  He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:  And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.  Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?"  (Luke 1:31-34 KJV)  With the Holy Spirit's involvement, our natural ability and availability can produce supernatural results!

PRAYER: Lord, we are available to you.  Be it unto us according to your word!  Amen!

Luke 1:36-37 . . . .And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.  For with God nothing shall be impossible. KJV

IT'S TIME!

12-9-2011. . . .IT'S TIME!

"Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. (Rev 1:3 KJV)  IT'S TIME!  It has always been time and will continue to be time to read, hear and keep God's word!  Every word is true and will come true!  IT'S TIME!  Believe it!

PRAYER: Lord, your word is true and will come true!  Thank you for your precious word and the blessings that come to us by reading, hearing and keeping your word!  Amen.

Job 23:11-12. . . . My feet have closely followed his steps; I have kept to his way without turning aside.  I have not departed from the commands of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread. NIV

THE BEST HANDS!

12-8-2011. . . .THE BEST HANDS!

"My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me. (Ps 31:15KJV)  "You're in good hands with Allstate," slogan of this well known insurance company.  The implication is that there is no need to worry about anything because with Allstate, you're protected.  To an even greater degree, the same can be said of being in God's hands.  We have no need to worry are fear anything or anyone.  We are not only in good hands, we are in the best hands.

PRAYER:  Lord, your hands are the best hands and we are thankful to be in them!  Amen.

Job 23:10. . . .But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

ALL TIME FRIENDS!

12-7-2011. . . .ALL TIME FRIENDS!

"A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity." (Prov 17:17 NIV) True friends never let you down, but are always there when we are!  Thank God for all time friends!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for being a friend that sticks closer than any brother.  Thank you also for early friends that mimic you!  Amen!

Prov 17:17. . . . A true friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need. TLB

TIME WILL TELL!

12-6-2011. . . .TIME WILL TELL!

"Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men's hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God." (1 Cor 4:4-5)  Pointing fingers and make assumptions about individuals without knowing their full story is unwise!  Everyone is in the process of becoming!  Who they are today ,may not be who they will always remain!   Time will tell their full story!

PRAYER: Lord, our times are in your hand.  As we evolve through the process of time, give us patience with ourselves and with others.  Amen!

1 Cor 4:5. . . .So be careful not to jump to conclusions before the Lord returns as to whether someone is a good servant or not. When the Lord comes, he will turn on the light so that everyone can see exactly what each one of us is really like, deep down in our hearts. TLB

TIME!

12-4-2011. . . .TIME!

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:"(Eccl 3:1. . . .NIV)  The clock of eternity is ticking and 'Time' is rapped up in it!  Time is not as long as eternity, so we can't afford to waste one second of it!  It's time!  Get started. . . . do all that is in you to do until your time is up!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for giving us time and purpose!  Help us to make the best uses of the time we've been given!  Amen!

Eccl 8:5-6. . . . Whoso keepeth the commandment shall feel no evil thing: and a wise man's heart discerneth both time and judgment.  Because to every purpose there is time and judgment, therefore the misery of man is great upon him. KJV

GOD OF COMFORT!

12-2-2011. . . .GOD OF COMFORT!

“... What a wonderful God we have-he is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the source of every mercy, and the one who so wonderfully comforts and strengthens us in our hardships and trials.” (2 Cor 1:3a TLB)  Life is often no bed of roses and at times it can be downright uncomfortable! Yet, it is in those times of discomfort that God manifest Himself to us as ‘The God of all Comfort’.  No, He does not always immediately change our situations and circumstances, but more often than not, He changes us in the situations and circumstances! While all hell may be breaking loose all around us, He gives us a since of well-being on the inside that enables us to emerge with confidence and experience to share with others in their time of affliction and trouble. “…And why does he do this? So that when others are troubled, needing our sympathy and encouragement, we can pass on to them this same help and comfort God has given us.” (2 Cor 1:3b) TLB

Prayer: Lord, thank you for being the God of all comfort! You keep me from being unstable in difficult and uncomfortable situations. It is well with my soul. Amen!

Isa 51:3. . . .For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody. KJV

BELIEVE AND RECEIVE!

12-1-2011. . . .BELIEVE AND RECEIVE!

"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." (Heb 11:6 NIV)  God is our source and our recourse. He is the supplier of all our need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.  However, if one is to receive from Him, one must first believe in Him!  First believe and then receive!

Prayer: Lord, I believe you and I believe in you! You reward all those who believe and seek you. Thank you for your faithfulness!

Heb 11:6. . . .You can never please God without faith, without depending on him. Anyone who wants to come to God must believe that there is a God and that he rewards those who sincerely look for him. TLB

HOW DO YOU SPELL RELIEF!

11-30-2011. . . .HOW DO YOU SPELL RELIEF!

“Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.” ( NKJV Isa 55:7) Should we ever find ourselves in a place of separation from God because of sin, God’s way out for us is simple: REPENT! Turn from our sin and turn back to God. He promises to show us mercy and not just simply pardon, but ‘abundantly pardon’ us!  The burden of condemnation is a heavy load to continue to carry!   How do you spell relief? R E P E N T!

Prayer: Thank you for your overwhelming love towards us. Even when we slip up and mess up, you yet offer us a way out through repentance. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Amen!

Jer 33:8-9. . . .And I will cleanse away all their sins against me and pardon them.  Then this city will be an honor to me, and it will give me joy and be a source of praise and glory to me before all the nations of the earth! DOOMED!

11-29-2011. . . .DOOMED!

"They will be mighty warriors for God, grinding their enemies' faces into the dust beneath their feet. The Lord is with them as they fight; their enemy is doomed. (Zech 10:5 TLB)   Let all our enemies be fair warned!   Fight us as you must, but know this enemy.......YOU ARE DOOMED!   We will grind you into to the dust beneath us as we march to victory!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for always being with us as we fight!  May all our enemies be vanquished and know that the battle is yours and the victory is ours.  Amen!
Rom 8:31. . . .31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

ONLY BELIEVE!

11-28-2011. . . .ONLY BELIEVE!

"Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth." (Mark 9:23 KJV) Belief is the first step in faith. Nothing will happen if we don't believe it can, but when we believe, we open up and access a whole realm of unlimited possibilities. Today, remove all the restraints and cast out all your fears and anything that hinders you from accessing the realm of unlimited possibilities. Only Believe!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for the ability to believe. With this ability I access your realm of unlimited possibilities for my life. Amen!

Isa 7:9b. . . .If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established. KJV

THANKFUL!

11-25-2011. . . .THANKFUL!

"No matter what happens, always be thankful, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. (1 Thess 5:17-18 TLB)  Whatever happens to us, for us, even against us, we know that God is at work always for our good.  Bad things will happen to good people and good things will happen to the same.  In both instances, our disposition remains the same; THANKFUL!

Prayer: Lord, in everything and for all things, we remain thankful.  Amen!

1 Thess 5:16-18. . . . Be joyful always;  pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. NIV

TWO REASONS!

11-24-2011. . . .TWO REASONS!

"O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever." (Ps 136:1 KJV) Need reasons to give God thanks? Psalms 136:1 offers two! First, give thanks because 'He is Good.' God is good and he doeth good!  His good is constantly directed toward us! Secondly, 'His mercy endures for ever.' Where would we be if it were not for His mercy!   His mercy keeps us so that His grace can reach us!  While there are certainly a plethora of other reasons to give thanks, these two are good place to start!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for being good and always doing good. Thank you also for your mercy without which we would be consumed. Thank you Lord, thank you! Amen.

Ps 97:12. . . . Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.KJV

PERPETUAL LIGHTS!

11-23-2011. . . .PERPETUAL LIGHTS!

"And those who are wise-the people of God-shall shine as brightly as the sun's brilliance, and those who turn many to righteousness will glitter like stars forever." (Dan 12:3 TLB)  He that wins souls is wise!  A bright shinning light in the world they are now, and an everlasting light in the kingdom to come!  A perpetual light never goes dim.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for making us lights that shine brightly in today's world leading men and women out of darkness.  Thank you also for the privilege of being perpetual lights in your kingdom to come!  Amen.

Prov 4:18-22. . . .
But the good man walks along in the ever-brightening light of God's favor; the dawn gives way to morning splendor, 19 while the evil man gropes and stumbles in the dark.

SHINE INTENTIONALLY!

11-22-2011. . . .SHINE INTENTIONALLY!

"And God said, Let there be light: and there was light."  (Gen 1:3 KJV)  Light did not just happen, it was an intentional part of God's creation.   As the world's light, believers are an intentional part of God's plan and purpose.  No one can deny our right to be. We are God ordained!  Therefore, shine intentionally!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for intentionally making us a part of your plan!  Help us carry out that plan intentionally!  Amen.

Gen 1:3-4. . . .Then God said, "Let there be light." And light appeared. 4 And God was pleased with it and divided the light from the darkness. TLB

SHINE!

11-21-2011. . . .SHINE!

"You are the world's light-a city on a hill, glowing in the night for all to see. Don't hide your light! Let it shine for all; let your good deeds glow for all to see, so that they will praise your heavenly Father. (Matt 5:14-15 TLB)  As the world's light, we must shine as brightly as possible and resist the temptation to diminish our light because others can't handle our brightness!  Opposition to light comes only from darkness because light repels darkness! SHINE!

PRAYER: Lord, In you is life and that life is the light of all men.  Shine upon us, shine in us, shine through us!  Amen!

John 1:4-5. . . .In him was life; and the life was the light of men.  And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.  KJV

THANK GOD FOR THE ELDERS!

11-18-2011. . . .THANK GOD FOR THE ELDERS!

"Is anyone sick? He should call for the elders of the church and they should pray over him and pour a little oil upon him, calling on the Lord to heal him.  And their prayer, if offered in faith, will heal him, for the Lord will make him well; and if his sickness was caused by some sin, the Lord will forgive him. (James 5:14-15 TLB)  We must honor and value the men and women God has placed under.  In times of sickness, their prayers for us will move God to heal us. Thank God for the Elders!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for the men and women you have placed over us as Elders.  Thank you for hearing and healing when they call! Amen!

James 5:16. . . .Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.  KJV

ASK GOD!

11-17-2011 . . . .ASK GOD!

"O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.  O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit." (Ps 30:2-3 KJV)  Once we have asked God to heal us, we can have full confidence in our doctors, nurses and other caregivers through which He facilitates the healing process!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for hearing and answering our prayer for healing.  Thank you for wonderful doctors, nurses and caregivers through which you facilitate the healing process.  Amen!

Matt 7:7-8. . . . Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:  For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.  KJV

EXALT HIM TODAY!

11-16-2011 . . . .EXALT HIM TODAY!

"And those who believe shall use my authority to cast out demons, and they shall speak new languages.  They will be able even to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won't hurt them; and they will be able to place their hands on the sick and heal them." (Mark 16:17-18 TLB)  Laying hands on the sick and seeing them healed affirms us as believers and exalts God as the healer!  There are plenty of sick all around us.  Lets exalt Him today!

PRAYER: Lord, you are a healer!  We believe you and will do our part, then watch you do your part!  Amen.

James 5:15. . . .And their prayer, if offered in faith, will heal him, for the Lord will make him well; and if his sickness was caused by some sin, the Lord will forgive him. TLB

THE MORE WE ASK, THE MORE HE'LL RELEASE!

11-15-2011. . . .THE MORE WE ASK, THE MORE HE'LL RELEASE!

"Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.   He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction. Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!" (Ps 107:19-21 KJV)  God has a word of healing for illness.  He releases that word when we turn to him in times of distress.  The more we ask, the more He'll release.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for the word of healing!  Keep releasing your word until there is a cure for every disease.   We will praise you for your wonderful works to the children of men!  Amen.

11-14-2011. . . .COMPREHENSIVE HEALTH CARE PLAN!

"And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee." (Ex 15:26 KJV)  The best health care plan available is the one the Lord offers.  It is available to all!  No disqualifications for pre-existing illnesses, and everyone has access to the best physician available!  Co-pay required: Obedience!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for giving us a wonderful and comprehensive health care plan!  You are absolutely the best physician.  Amen!

Ex 15:25-26. . . . "If you will listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and obey it, and do what is right, then I will not make you suffer the diseases I sent on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord who heals you." TLB

HONESTY AND HARD WORK!

11-11-2011. . . .HONESTY AND HARD WORK!

"The Lord hates cheating and delights in honesty. Proud men end in shame, but the meek become wise. A good man is guided by his honesty; the evil man is destroyed by his dishonesty. Your riches won't help you on Judgment Day; only righteousness counts then." (Prov 11:1-4 TLB)  If something seems to good to be true, it more than likely is!  There are no short cuts to success!  Honesty and hard work  will never bring shame!

PRAYER: Lord, lead us in your paths of righteous and let our feet not deviate in pursuit of the easy way in, out, or around!  Amen!

Prov 16:25. . . .There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. KJV

NO "I's" AT ALL!

11-10-2011. . . .NO "I's" AT ALL!

"For the value of wisdom is far above rubies; nothing can be compared with it.  Wisdom and good judgment live together, for wisdom knows where to discover knowledge and understanding.  If anyone respects and fears God, he will hate evil. For wisdom hates pride, arrogance, corruption, and deceit of every kind. (Prov 8:11-13  TLB)  Pride, arrogance, and deceit view the world through big "I's" but cannot see;  Humility views the world clearly with no "I's" at all!

PRAYER: Lord, help us daily to have a clear view of our world and eliminate all the big "I's" that cannot see.  Amen.

Matt 13:14-17. . . .They hear, but don't understand; they look, but don't see!  For their hearts are fat and heavy, and their ears are dull, and they have closed their eyes in sleep,  so they won't see and hear and understand and turn to God again, and let me heal them.' But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear. TLB

SUCCESS PLANNED!

11-9-2011. . . .SUCCESS PLANNED!

"Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety." (Prov 11:14KJV) Good advise and wise counsel are essential prerequisites for any successful endeavor.  Why travel an unsuccessful road others have already explored?   Failure avoided is success planned!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for providing us with good people who instruct us in the ways of success!  Help us to be humble enough to ask and receive from them!  Amen.

Josh 1:6-7. . . .
Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. NIV

CAREFUL!

11-8-2011. . . .CAREFUL!

"Don't be conceited, sure of your own wisdom. Instead, trust and reverence the Lord, and turn your back on evil; when you do that, then you will be given renewed health and vitality."  (Prov 3:7 TLB)  Confidence in one's self is good, but conceit is vanity!  Careful!!!!  We may not be 'All That' after all.  Make sure we're not missing our bag of chips! :-)

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for making us fearfully and wonderfully!  Help us not to let that go to our heads and think more highly of ourselves than we should.  Amen!

Rom 12:3. . . .For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.  KJV

PERSPECTIVE ADJUSTMENT!

11-7-2011. . . .PERSPECTIVE ADJUSTMENT!

"Don't refuse to accept criticism; get all the help you can."  (Prov 23:12 TLB)  No one is always right especially when it comes to our perspective of our self!  How we see our self and how others view us could be totally different.   Consider constructive criticism from others as a 'perspective adjustment'  that helps us be and become our best self!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for placing people in my life that will tell me the truth about me.  Help me to receive that truth and make the necessary adjustments in order that I may be and become my best self!

Prov 26:12. . . .There is one thing worse than a fool, and that is a man who is conceited. TLB

REWARDED ACCORDINGLY!

11-4-2011. . . .REWARDED ACCORDINGLY!

"God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them." (Heb 6:10-11 NIV)  Make the most of every opportunity to serve without concern for recognition or affirmations from men. (They may or may not come!)  God on the other hand, will not forget what we do or have done!  We will be rewarded accordingly.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for never forgetting us and affirming us as your own.  May our souls be satisfied with this recognition.  Amen!

Heb 6:12. . . .We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. NIV

A WITNESS FOR OR AGAINST!

11-3-2011. . . .A WITNESS FOR OR AGAINST!

"One who is slack in his work is brother to one who destroys. (Prov 18:9 NIV)  It has been said, "A job worth doing, is worth doing well!"  That which has been assigned to our hands to complete, will either be a witness for us or against us!  When called upon to witness, what kind of reference will our work give us?

PRAYER: Lord, that you for every opportunity to work and complete those things that are assigned to our hands.  May our work be always a good witness for us.  Amen!

Col 3:22-25. . . . Work hard and cheerfully at all you do, just as though you were working for the Lord and not merely for your masters, remembering that it is the Lord Christ who is going to pay you, giving you your full portion of all he owns. He is the one you are really working for.  And if you don't do your best for him, he will pay you in a way that you won't like-for he has no special favorites who can get away with shirking. TLB

CEASE EVERY OPPORTUNITY!

11-2-2011. . . .CEASE EVERY OPPORTUNITY!

"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.  As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. (Gal 6:9-10 KJV) An opportunity denied is beyond our control, but an opportunity missed is completely our responsibility!  We must never become complacent and weary in our working to the degree that we end up squandering our opportunities!  Make the most of every moment!  Cease every opportunity!

PRAYER:  Lord thank you for every opportunity to do good!  May our works speak for us!  Amen.

James 2:18. . . .But someone may well argue, "You say the way to God is by faith alone, plus nothing; well, I say that good works are important too, for without good works you can't prove whether you have faith or not; but anyone can see that I have faith by the way I act." TLB

CREAT YOUR OWN HARVEST!

11-1-2011. . . .CREATE YOUR OWN HARVEST!

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:  A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;" (Eccl 3:1-2 KJV)  Nothing will be harvested that has not first been purposefully planted.  This is the season for carefully planned planting!  Create your own harvest!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for every season and opportunity to create our own harvest.  Guide us as we carefully plan our planting!  Amen.

Isa 32:19-20. . . . And God will greatly bless his people. Wherever they plant, bountiful crops will spring up, and their flocks and herds will graze in green pastures.  TLB

MAXIMIZE THE MOMENT!

8-3-2011. . . .MAXIMIZE THE MOMENT!

So be careful how you act; these are difficult days.  Don't be fools; be wise: make the most of every opportunity you have for doing good.  Don't act thoughtlessly, but try to find out and do whatever the Lord wants you to. (Eph 5:15-17 TLB)   In one of his final speeches the Apostle Paul advises us to take advantage of every opportunity to do good!  In other words, according to God's plan, opportunities are coming!  We must prepared now so that we will be able to maximize the moment when it comes.

PRAYER: Lord, help us to be prepared for the opportunities you are sending our way!  Thank you for favoring us.  We will not disappoint you.  Amen!

Eph 1:3. . . . Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.

HEALING AND HEALTH TO ALL!

10-28-2011. . . .HEALING AND HEALTH TO ALL!

"Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. " (Prov 16:24 KJV) Everyone in need of healing is not in a hospital or confined to a bed.  There are many 'walking wounded' all around us!  We have the capacity to bring heath and healing to their soul by simply speaking a kind and pleasant word to them.  Because the walking wounded are not clearly identifiable, lets try speaking kind and pleasant words to everybody; that way no one will be missed, healing and heath will come to all!

PRAYER: Lord, let everyone that crosses our path receive healing and health through the words we speak to them.  Amen!

Prov 12:18. . . .Some people like to make cutting remarks, but the words of the wise soothe and heal. TLB

LIFE'S POTENTIAL!

10-27-2011. . . .LIFE'S POTENTIAL!

"Moses was 120 years old when he died, yet his eyesight was perfect and he was as strong as a young man." (Deut 34:7-8 TLB)  With God, all things are possible even life-long health, strength and prosperity.  Don't allow bad life choices to diminish life's potential!   If we take of God's business, God will take care of us!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for giving us life-long health, strength and prosperity in order that we may carry out and complete your divine purpose in us!  Amen!

Mark 10:27. . . .And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. KJV
