DON'T REWRITE THE SCRIPT!

1-29-2010. . . .DON'T REWRITE THE SCRIPT!

"They can see that you are a letter from Christ, written by us. It is not a letter written with pen and ink, but by the Spirit of the living God; not one carved on stone, but in human hearts." (2 Cor 3:3 TLB) Our lives are an open letter from God to the world, written by the Holy Spirit within us! When the world reads us, let what's written be a witness unto Him. Take care that the way we live does not rewrite the script.

Prayer: Lord, thank you that my life is a living and open letter from you to the world. Help me to daily put my pen down and simply allow your script to be read as written. Amen!

1 Cor 3:16-17. . . .Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? 17 If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple. (NIV)

CAN I - WILL I!

1-28-2010. . . .CAN I - WILL I!

"And I will put my Spirit within you so that you will obey my laws and do whatever I command." (Ezek 36:27 TLB) God created us in His own image and after His own likeness. He intends for us to reflect that image and likeness not only in how we appear, but also in how we behave! He aids us in this effort by freely placing His Spirit within us so that we are able to do His will. So the question is never "Can I" do His will, its always, "Will I" do His will?"

Prayer: Lord, thank you for freely placing your Spirit within me and giving me the ability to do your will. Help me submit my will to your Spirit. Amen!

Rom 7:23 . . . . So you see how it is: my new life tells me to do right, but the old nature that is still inside me loves to sin. Oh, what a terrible predicament I'm in! Who will free me from my slavery to this deadly lower nature? Thank God! It has been done by Jesus Christ our Lord. He has set me free. TLB

WHAT ARE YOU FULL OF?

1-27-2010. . . .WHAT ARE YOU FULL OF?

"And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;" (Eph 5:188 KJV) What ever fills us has influence over us! If alcohol fills us, it has influence over us; If drugs - -influence; if Hate -- influence; if Anger - - influence. What ever fills us influences us. If Love - - influence; If Generosity - - influence; If the Spirit - -influence! What ever fills us influences us! What are you full of?

Prayer: Lord, fill me daily with your Spirit to the end that there is no room for anything else! I want to be completely influenced by You alone. Amen!

Eph 5:15-18. . . . So be careful how you act; these are difficult days. Don't be fools; be wise: make the most of every opportunity you have for doing good. 17 Don't act thoughtlessly, but try to find out and do whatever the Lord wants you to. 18 Don't drink too much wine, for many evils lie along that path; be filled instead with the Holy Spirit and controlled by him. HELP IS AVAILABLE!

1-26-2210. . . .HELP IS AVAILABLE!

"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express." (Rom 8:26 NIV) A good way to detect when we are caught up in our weaknesses is to examine the essences of our prayers. When our prayers our more 'self directed' than 'Spirit directed' we are operating out of our weakness. Yet in that place of weakness, the Holy Spirit is available to help us and direct us in ways we can't even imagine. Help is available!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, help me in my weakness and interceed on my behalf. Amen.

Rom 8:155. . . . For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. KJV

CONFLICT RESOLUTION!

1-25-2010. . . .CONFLICT RESOLUTION!

"For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law." (Gal 5:16-18 17 NIV) There is a saying, "It takes two to tango!" Resolve the inner conflict by submitting to the Spirit!

Prayer: Lord, my heart's desire is to please you. Holy Spirit, thank you for helping me resolve the conflict within by yielding to your leadership. Amen!

Gal 5:24-25. . . .Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. NIV

Prayer: Oh Lord God Almighty! You alone are able! Amen.

Eph 3:20-21. . . .Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. KJV

PERFECT PEACE!

1-21-2010. . . .PERFECT PEACE!

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." (Isa 26:3 KJV) Trusting God engenders for us total well being! Not just inner contentment, (Peace) but prosperity, happiness, health, safety and favor! Now, that's 'Perfect Peace!'

Prayer: Lord, how I trust you completely! You are my well being and I thank you. Amen!

Ps 29:11. . . .The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace. KJV

A POWERFUL GOD. . . OUR GOD!

1-20-2010. . . .A POWERFUL GOD. . . .OUR GOD!

"The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower." (Ps 18:22 KJV) Rock - Fortress - Deliverer - Strength - High Tower! God is described by David with these powerful terms; for only powerful terms can describe a powerful God. . . . Our God!

Prayer: Oh God our God! How powerful you are! You are my life's stability and I shall not be moved. Amen!

2 Sam 22:32-33. . . . For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God? God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect. KJV

WITH GOD, WE WIN!

1-19-2010. . . .WITH GOD, WE WIN!

". . .If God be for us, who can be against us?"(Rom 8:31 KJV) Personally rendered, 'Since God is for me, who can be against me.' Not to imply that we will face no opposition, we all know we will! However, there is no opposition (like no weapon) that will be able to prevail against us. Bottom line, with God, 'We Win!'

Prayer: Lord, thank you for being for us. How great thou art! Amen.

Ps 31:19. . . .Oh, how great is your goodness to those who publicly declare that you will rescue them. For you have stored up great blessings for those who trust and reverence you. TLB

WHO HE IS TO US!

1-18-2010. . . .WHO HE IS TO US!

"But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head." (Ps 3:33 KJV) God is many thing to us. Among the many things He is to us David exclaims, He is our 'Shield - Glory & the Lifter up of our heads.' Enemies will be ever present and the forces of darkness ever looming. We however, confidently remember and acknowledge who God is to us and for us! Our Protector - Our Light - Our Help!

Prayer: Lord, you are a shield to me; my glory, and you keep my head lifted! When my enemies come in, like a flood you lift up a standard against them. Amen!

Job 1:9-10. . . .Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? Thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. KJV

AMAZING GRACE!

1-15-2010. . . .AMAZING GRACE!

Amazing is the word John Newton used to describe God’s Grace in the refrain of his most familiar and popular hymn. When we really think about it, God’s Grace is amazing. When we consider the very nature of it, are minds are filled with wonderment. Grace is extended to us not through any merit of our own, but totally by and through the volition of God. God decided to extend His favor and love to us. In fact, that’s what grace is. . .the free and unmerited favor and love of God! Imagine if possible, being undesirable (unlovable) and undeserving of special treatment of any kind from anyone. Everyone devalued you and no one wanted you. You had been relegated by all to the ranks of the worthless. Now, imagine that what people thought about you and said about you was true. What a state of affairs. Yet, it is in that very state that God looked our way and made the decision to extend His love as well as His favor to us. AMAZING! “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Rom 5:8 KJV) That same amazing grace that was extended to us is sufficient for us! Yes….today you have the necessary grace to keep you and strengthen you. Not only that, by that same grace comes God’s favor! You are where you are because God favored you! Here’s a bit of prophetic good news for you: His favor is about to take you to another level!!!! If you are reading this today, get ready, get set. . . .you’re on your way! Don’t be surprised by anything that happens to you or comes your way in the next thirty days!!!! When it happens, attribute it to God’s Grace and Favor! "For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly." (Ps 84:11 KJV)

Prayer: Lord, thank you for your grace and favor that is so amazing! I stand ready to go to the next level and I thank you in advance as I receive unexpected blessings from unexpected places within the next thirty days. Amen!

2 Cor 12:9-10. . . . My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. KJV

A SAFE INVESTMENT!

1-14-2010. . . .A SAFE INVESTMENT!

"For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee." (Ps 84:11-12 KJV) Wise investors always seek after safe investment opportunities that will yield high dividends. In whom will you invest your trust? The dividends of placing one's trust in the Lord is 'Favor' (Grace) and Protection' (Glory). What a safe investment for our trust and what marvelous dividends!

Prayer: Lord, your grace and glory, (favor and protection) are wonderful dividends of trusting you! Thank you for the dividends though I trust you without them. Amen!

Ps 20:77. . . . Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. (NIV)

GOD OF ALL GRACE

1-13-2010. . . .GOD OF ALL GRACE!

"But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. (1 Peter 5:10 KJV) As much as we would prefer things to be different, in life, we will have to go through some things! The good news is, the 'God of all Grace' is giving us grace as He perfects His plan in our lives!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for gracing us over and through the rough and smooth places in life on our way to perfection. Amen!

Ps 138:8. . . . The LORD will fulfill [his purpose] for me;your love, O LORD, endures forever--do not abandon the works of your hands. (NIV)

THAT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME!

1-12-2010. . . .THAT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME!

"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." (2 Cor 12:9 KJV) There is no need to hide what hinders us or deny the thing or things that keep damaging or destiny! Thorns in the flesh they are! Jesus says to us what He said to the Apostle Paul, "My grace is sufficient for thee!" That's good enough for me!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for your grace that is always sufficient for us. I acknowledge and entrust my weaknesses into your hands. Amen.

2 Cor 12:10. . . .Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.KJV

WORTHY GOALS TO PURSUE!

1-11-2010. . . .WORTHY GOALS TO PURSUE!

"But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen."( 2 Peter 3:18 KJV) In the mist of all that is going on with us and around us, and even all that is happening to us; A mid our hopes, dreams and aspirations; While in pursuit of our long range and short range goals and while we diligently, proficiently and efficiently plan our work and work our plans, don't forget Peter's admonition to "Grow In Grace and Knowledge of Jesus Christ." Worthy goals to pursue throughout this new year!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for this new year and the opportunity to grow in grace! Help us Holy Spirit by increasing our knowledge of Jesus. Amen!

2 Peter 1:5-8. . . .And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. KJV

GOD SEES AND CARES!

1-8-2010. . . .GOD SEES AND CARES!

"Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?" (Luke 12:244 KJV) God not only sees us, but is concern about every detail of our lives no matter how small or insignificant it may seem to us. If He is infinitely involved in the care and supplying the needs of the least of His creation, how much more the crown jewel of His creation, you and I! Be encouraged. . . .He sees and He cares!

Prayer:
Lord, thank you that you see and care. Why then do we worry? Help us understand that you are in control and you have everything under control. Amen!

Luke 12:24-29. . . .
Look at the ravens-they don't plant or harvest or have barns to store away their food, and yet they get along all right-for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds! "And besides, what's the use of worrying? What good does it do? Will it add a single day to your life? Of course not! And if worry can't even do such little things as that, what's the use of worrying over bigger things? "Look at the lilies! They don't toil and spin, and yet Solomon in all his glory was not robed as well as they are. And if God provides clothing for the flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, don't you suppose that he will provide clothing for you, you doubters? And don't worry about food-what to eat and drink; don't worry at all that God will provide it for you. TLB

IT'S A GOOD DAY FOR A CHECK-UP!

1-7-2010. . . .IT'S A GOOD DAY FOR A CHECK-UP!

"For the eyes of the Lord search back and forth across the whole earth, looking for people whose hearts are perfect toward him, so that he can show his great power in helping them." (2 Chron 16:9 TLB) What is the condition of your heart? Has it been 'made ready' (perfect) to receive power from God? God's discerning eye is examining hearts to qualify or disqualify them for an impartation of His mighty power! Today is a good day for a check-up!

Prayer: Lord, search our hearts and qualify us for an impartation of your mighty power. Amen!

Ps 139:23-24. . . .Search me, O God, and know my heart; test my thoughts. 24 Point out anything you find in me that makes you sad, and lead me along the path of everlasting life. TLB

GOD'S GOT HIS EYE ON ME!

1-6-2010. . . .GOD'S GOT HIS EYE ON ME!

"He will never let me stumble, slip, or fall. For he is always watching, never sleeping." (Ps 121:33 TLB) Like the watchful eye of a loving and concern parent for their child, So God keeps His eyes on us. The difference is, while earthly parents have to lie down, rest and sleep, our heavenly Father never slumbers nor sleeps! Therefore, with confidence proceed through life and every endeavor without fear of stumbling, slipping or falling; knowing and declaring "God's got His eye on me!

Prayer: Thank you Father for keeping your eye on me! I will not fear, but I will ever walk by faith and not by sight. Amen!

2 Cor 5:7. . . .For we walk by faith, not by sight. KJV

LOOKING AND LISTEN

1-5-2010. . . .LOOKING AND LISTENING!

"Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place." (2 Chron 7:15 KJV) The Almighty God of heaven and earth is looking for and listening to the prayers of His people. What is He seeing and what is He hearing from us that will move Him to heal our land? We should be ever mindful of the opportunity and authority God has given us through prayer to effect change in the world. Remember, He's looking and listening!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for the opportunity and authority you have given us through prayer. Cause us to be mindful not to misuse our opportunities and authority in selfish concerns and pursuits.

James 5:16b. . . ."The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." KJV

STAGING A COMEBACK!

1-1-2010. . . . .STAGING A COMEBACK!

Setbacks are not an uncommon experience whether in business, sports; health even in life in general. With the difficulties experienced this past year, 2009 could be defined as a year of 'setbacks'. 2009 is now behind us. In this new year, we declare and decree a 'comeback!' Anything staged is done on purpose. Therefore, there are some things we must do 'on purpose' if our comeback is to occur.

I. REPOSITION: Do whatever you have to do to be in the best position to hear from God. No comeback is possible without God's orchestration!

II. REPOSESS: Some things that were lost last year, shouldn't have been! God says, pursue and recover all! (Not for everybody but for somebody! refer to (I) for direction.

III. RETHINK: Rethink your affiliations. Everyone by your side is not on your side. Can two walk together, except they be agreed? (Amos 3:3 KJV )

IV. REDIRECT: Your time, talents and full treasure to Lord. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. (Ps 37:5 KJV)

I set myself in agreement with every believer that trust God enough to 'stage a comeback!' I declare success in every area and endeavor in 2010 and beyond! You shall surely recover all! There shall be no lack or loss, only increase! The glory of the Lord will surround you and His favor shall be upon you. You will not be without challenges nor will your course be obstacle free! Stay focused and don't be distracted. Your 'comeback' is sure says the Lord!

Prayer: Father, I thank you that your word is forever settled in heaven. It is established in the earth and shall not change. Thank you for a brand new year and our comeback! Amen.

1 Sam 30:8. . . .And David inquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all. KJV
