OUCH.....THE TRUTH HEALS!

2-28-2019. . . .OUCH.....THE TRUTH HEALS!

"Stop lying to each other; tell the truth, for we are parts of each other and when we lie to each other we are hurting ourselves." (Eph 4:25 TLB)

Lying benefits no one and hurts everyone involved. Lying to a brother or sister is like lying to one's self, in that we are all connected.  Would one in their right mind intentionally hurt one's self?  Certainly not.  It has been said that "The truth hurts" and true that may be in some cases, but it doesn't cause damage like a lie!  The hurt of truth ultimately heals whereas, the hurt of a lie continually brings harm.   Tell the truth!  OUCH....THE TRUTH HEALS!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for your healing truth.  Help us spread the healing by always speaking the truth in love with no lies.  Amen.

Prov 8:6-9. . . .Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.  For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.   All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.  They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge. KJV

HE'S WORKING IT OUT!

2-27-2019. . . . HE'S WORKING IT OUT!

“In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps. (Prov 16:9 NIV)

Although sometimes our plans don't quite work out and even fail, God directs our steps back on course toward the future He has purposed for us.  So, don’t worry. . . .don’t get overly discouraged. . . .don’t get frustrated or become impatient.   Just remember, “He’s Working It Out!   And what a wonderful life it is!!!!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for the plans you have for us!   We give you our all. . . .have your way in our life and with our life!  Amen!

Heb 10:35-38. . . . Do not let this happy trust in the Lord die away, no matter what happens. Remember your reward! You need to keep on patiently doing God's will if you want him to do for you all that he has promised. His coming will not be delayed much longer. And those whose faith has made them good in God's sight must live by faith, trusting him in everything. Otherwise, if they shrink back, God will have no pleasure in them. TLB

HE SAID IT, NOW BELIEVE IT!

2-26-2019. . . .HE SAID IT, NOW BELIEVE IT!

For everyone who asks, receives. Anyone who seeks, finds. If only you will knock, the door will open. (Matt 7:7-9 TLB)

No believer ever lacks opportunity!  Every provision has already been supplied. We need only to make a determination in our mind and spirit to go for it!  Get out of the comfort zone.  Energize and engage your faith to ask, seek, and knock!  He said it, it's up to us to believe it!

PRAYER: LORD, we believe you!  Thank you for giving us opportunity; some even greater than our expectation and imagination.  Nevertheless, at your word, we will ask, seek, and knock.  Amen!

1 John 5:14-15. . . . And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us: and if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.  KJV

DON'T DO IT!

2-21-2019. . . .DON'T DO IT!

"For there are six things the Lord hates-no, seven: haughtiness, lying, murdering, plotting evil, eagerness to do wrong, a false witness, sowing discord among brothers." (Prov 6:16 TLB)

LYING is second on the list of things God hates!  Is there really any good reason not to tell the truth?  Frankly speaking, NO there isn't!  No one likes lies or liars and God hates it!  ADVICE: DON'T DO IT!

Prayer: Lord, our desire is to please you always.  Therefore, we will not do the things you hate.  Amen!

Ps 34:11-14. . . . Sons and daughters, come and listen and let me teach you the importance of trusting and fearing the Lord.  Do you want a long, good life?  Then watch your tongue! Keep your lips from lying.  Turn from all known sin and spend your time in doing good. Try to live in peace with everyone; work hard at it. TLB

REVEAL YOURSELF!

2-20-2019. . . .REVEAL YOURSELF!

"I knew you before you were formed within your mother's womb; before you were born I sanctified you and appointed you as my spokesman to the world." (Jer 1:5 TLB)

Our purpose began and was set in the mind of God long before we ever arrived on the earth!  Although daily we continue to evolve, we are already who God purposed us to be.  Now, without fear, we must reveal ourselves to the world!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for creating us and putting purpose within us!  Guide us as we without fear, reveal ourselves to the world.  Amen!

Matt 5:14-15. . . . You are the world's light-a city on a hill, glowing in the night for all to see.  Don't hide your light! Let it shine for all; let your good deeds glow for all to see, so that they will praise your
heavenly Father.  TLB

THE SOURCE!

2-19-2019. . . .THE SOURCE!

"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."  (2 Cor 12:9 KJV)

Our independence and self-reliance is only as good as our ability to recognize their inter-dependence upon God.  Without His strength in our areas of weakness, we are like ships without sails; powerless to maintain course and find our own way.  He is the source of our strength and the strength of our life.

PRAYER: Lord, thank for your grace that is always sufficient for us.  Through your strength, our weaknesses are made strong.  Strengthen us and strengthen us again!  Amen.

Eph 1:19. . . .I pray that you will begin to understand how incredibly great his power is to help those who believe him.  TLB

LOVE WITH PURPOSE!

2-15-2019. . . .LOVE WITH PURPOSE!

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16 KJV

God didn't just love, but He 'So Loved' the world in such a way that it moved Him to action!  God is intentional when it comes to love and so also should we be.  The love He sends out has purpose and is never by accident or coincidence.  His love has life changing power and so will ours when we love with purpose!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for loving us with purpose!  Your love has changed our lives!  Help us to love with purpose and there by change lives as well.  Amen.

Eph 2:4-6. . . . But God is so rich in mercy; he loved us so much 5 that even though we were spiritually dead and doomed by our sins, he gave us back our lives again when he raised Christ from the dead-only by his undeserved favor have we ever been saved- 6 and lifted us up from the grave into glory along with Christ, where we sit with him in the heavenly realms-all because of what Christ Jesus did. TLB

LOVE WITHOUT LIMITS!

2-14-2019. . . .LOVE WITHOUT LIMITS!

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."  (John 15:13 KJV)

Real love knows no limits!  To love with no limits takes vulnerability, not gullibility!   Love is no one's doormat, but everyone's doorway into life and happiness!  Love without limits!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for loving us without limits!  Keep loving us into life and happiness.  Amen!

Eph 3:17-18. . . . And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts, living within you as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love;  and may you be able to feel and understand, as all God's children should, how long, how wide, how deep, and how high his love really is; and to experience this love for yourselves, though it is so great that you will never see the end of it or fully know or understand it.  TLB

DISCERN THE RIGHT TIME!

2-13-2019. . . .DISCERN THE RIGHT TIME!

"Whoever obeys his command will come to no harm, and the wise heart will know the proper time and procedure.  For there is a proper time and procedure for every matter, though a man's misery weighs heavily upon him."( Eccl 8:5-6 NIV)

Never let emotions provoke bad decisions!  While one's current position, relationship, job and/or employer for the moment, may be undesirable and even untenable, don't be impulsive and leave before it is time!  Such actions will cause more harm than good.  Discern the right time!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for discernment.  Help discern the times and wait patiently on you.  Amen!

Heb 10:35-36. . . . Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. KJV

A MUCH BETTER WAY!

2-12-2019. . . . A MUCH BETTER WAY!

"The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool." (Ps 110:1 KJV)

Our enemies are not just our enemies, they are His enemies too!  As such, they are being dealt with and will soon be in a position of submission to Him and us. Resist the temptation to deal with them yourself; God has a much better way of doing that!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for being our Savior and Lord!  Every enemies destiny is to be made your footstool.   As it has been written, so let it be done.  Amen!

Ps 37:1-3. . . . Never envy the wicked!   Soon they fade away like grass and disappear.  Trust in the Lord instead. Be kind and good to others; then you will live safely here in the land and prosper, feeding in safety.

IN GOD'S POWER!

2-8-2019. . . . IN GOD'S POWER!

"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."  (2 Cor 12:9 KJV)

Our handicaps do not disqualify us for service to God.  In fact, in many cases, they qualify us for a greater demonstration of His power through us.  Although, the apostle Paul had a handicap in his flesh, his handicap was not a hindrance to God accomplishing mighty things through him.  Like Paul, our accomplishments are not in our own strength, but in God's power!  Trust Him with your handicap.

Prayer: Lord, your ways are certainly not like ours.  What we often think would disqualify us, is the very thing you use to demonstrate your power in us!  Thank you that our handicaps are not hindrances to you. Amen!

Phil 4:13. . . . I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. KJV

YOU'LL GET WHAT'S COMING TO YOU!

2-7-2019. . . .YOU'LL GET WHAT'S COMING TO YOU!

"And God has reserved for his children the priceless gift of eternal life; it is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. And God, in his mighty power, will make sure that you get there safely to receive it because you are trusting him. (1 Peter 1:4-54 TLB)

What God has for us, is for us! What He has and freely gives is eternal life to all who believe in His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ! He does not stop there however! By His mighty power He daily blesses, keeps, protects, and ensures that we will get to the place where we will receive what He has promised to us! Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable gift!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for eternal life through your Son, Jesus! Thank you that by your power you ensure that we will get what's coming to us. Praise your Holy Name! Amen.

Jude 24. . . .And now-all glory to him who alone is God, who saves us through Jesus Christ our Lord; yes, splendor and majesty, all power and authority are his from the beginning; his they are and his they evermore shall be. And he is able to keep you from slipping and falling away, and to bring you, sinless and perfect, into his glorious presence with mighty shouts of everlasting joy. Amen. TLB

YOUR NEXT SUCCESS!

2-6-2019. . . .YOUR NEXT SUCCESS!

"And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net." (Luke 5:5 KJV)

In spite of one's best efforts, even the called by Christ experience failure. Failure however, does not have the final word, God does. In fact, our point of failure positions us for a fresh word of instruction that will lead us to our next success.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for being there even in our times of failure. Help us to be willing at our point failure to receive your word of instruction that will lead us to our next success. Amen!

Ps 37:23-24 . . . .

The steps of good men are directed by the Lord. He delights in each step they take.  If they fall it isn't fatal, for the Lord holds them with his hand. TLB

SACRIFICE COST!

2-5-2019. . . .SACRIFICE COST!

“But the king replied to Araunah, "No, I insist on paying you for it. I will not sacrifice to the LORD my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing." (2 Sam 24:24 NIV)

A sacrifice that cost us nothing is not a sacrifice at all. God’s sacrifice cost Him all! Should not our sacrifices be the same?

Prayer: Lord, thank you for the sacrifice of your Son, Jesus. There is nothing of value I possess that is not worthy of being sacrificed to you. Amen!

1 Chron 29:12-14. . . . Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name. But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee. KJV
