NO TRICK NO TREAT JUST GOD!

10-31-2014. . . .NO TRICK NO TREAT JUST GOD!

"If the Lord had not been on our side (let all Israel admit it), if the Lord had not been on our side,  we would have been swallowed alive by our enemies, destroyed by their anger.  We would have drowned beneath the flood of these men's fury and pride."  (Ps 124:1-4 TLB)  So many times our enemies, opposition, and haters had what seemed like an undeniable advantage over us, 'But God!'  God moved on our behalf leaving our enemies, opposition, and haters shaking their collective heads and wondering, what happen!

PRAYER: Lord, no matter what advantage it may seem our opposition has, you remain our best advantage.  Thank you!  Amen.

Ps 124:6-8. . . . Blessed be Jehovah who has not let them devour us.  We have escaped with our lives as a bird from a hunter's snare. The snare is broken and we are free!  Our help is from the Lord who made heaven and earth.  TLB

A LOSING AFFAIR!

10/31/2014. . . .A LOSING AFFAIR!

"And let us not get tired of doing what is right, for after a while we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't get discouraged and give up."  (Gal 6:9-10 TLB)  One of the easiest things in the world to do is give up, especially when one losses hope and becomes discouraged!  The thing about giving up is, we lose the time and effort it took to get us to that place of decision, as well as, the reward and satisfaction of seeing a thing through to the end!  Keep on doing what is right and don't let your efforts become a losing affair!

PRAYER: Lord, strengthen us in our struggles as we strive to do what is right and complete our life assignments.  Amen!

Heb 10:35-37. . . . Do not let this happy trust in the Lord die away, no matter what happens. Remember your reward!   You need to keep on patiently doing God's will if you want him to do for you all that he has promised. TLB

KEEP PRESSING!

10-29-2014. . . .KEEP PRESSING!

"We are pressed on every side by troubles, but not crushed and broken. We are perplexed because we don't know why things happen as they do, but we don't give up and quit. We are hunted down, but God never abandons us. We get knocked down, but we get up again and keep going." (2 Cor 4:8-10 TLB)  With God, its never over until He says its over!  We always have what we need to recover and begin again.  Keep pressing!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for never abandoning us.  In you we have everything we need to keep pressing forward.  Amen.

Phil 3:13-14. . . . I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God is calling us up to heaven because of what Christ Jesus did for us. TLB

LOVE IS A DECISION!

10-28-2014. . . .LOVE IS A DECISION!

"For long ago the Lord had said to Israel: "I have loved you, O my people, with an everlasting love; with loving-kindness I have drawn you to me." ( Jer 31:3 TLB)  God has determined that His love for His people will never end.  Although, at times we may make Him feel angry, sad, disappointed and any number of negative emotions, He yet loves us because He made a decision to do so!

PRAYER: Lord, we thank you that your love is everlasting!  Help us to live lives that are deserving of such love and commitment.  Amen!

Eph 3:17-18. . . . And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts, living within you as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love; and may you be able to feel and understand, as all God's children should, how long, how wide, how deep, and how high his love really is; and to experience this love for yourselves, though it is so great that you will never see the end of it or fully know or understand it. WE WILL BE ALRIGHT!

10-27-2014. . . .WE WILL BE ALRIGHT!

"When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up-the flames will not consume you.  For I am the Lord your God, your Savior, the Holy One of Israel." (Isa 43:1-3 TLB)  For certain, at some point in our lives, we have all displeased and disappointed God.  Although, He would be well within His rights to cast us away or simply destroy us, instead, He remembers His commitment to us.  How assuring it is to know that when we face adversity and challenges of all types, God has predetermined our outcome.  We will be alright!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for being on our side and by our side.  No matter what challenges we may face in our future, thank you for a predetermined outcome.  Amen!

Ps 103:8-12. . . .He is merciful and tender toward those who don't deserve it; he is slow to get angry and full of kindness and love.  He never bears a grudge, nor remains angry forever.  He has not punished us as we deserve for all our sins, for his mercy toward those who fear and honor him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. DON'T GIVE AN INCH!

10-24-2014. . . .DON'T GIVE AN INCH!

"For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against persons without bodies-the evil rulers of the unseen world, those mighty satanic beings and great evil princes of darkness who rule this world; and against huge numbers of wicked spirits in the spirit world." (Eph 6:12 TLB)  The unseen forces of evil while no match for the power of Almighty God, are nonetheless real and not to be taken for granted.  We should not ever allow them access into our lives by dabbling into what may seem to be benign pagan celebrations.  If we don't give an inch they can't demand a mile!

PRAYER: Lord, you are Lord of our lives!  We exalt you above all and will not surrender even an inch of your sovereign control.   Amen!

Col 2:14-15. . . .He disarmed the principalities and powers and made a public example of them, triumphing over them in him. RSV

KNOWING AND KEEPING!

10-22-2014. . . .KNOWING AND KEEPING!

"The person who knows my commandments and keeps them, that's who loves me. And the person who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and make myself plain to him." (John 14:21 MSG)  Knowing God's word and keeping it equates to knowing Him better.  Not keeping His word means that one is really not serious about knowing Him and therefore, they won't.  One proves who they know by what one does; what one does not do proves the same.

PRAYER: Lord, help us to prove to the world that we know and love you by faithfully keeping your word.  We keep your word because we love you and want to know you better.  Help Us!  Amen.

Prov 7:1-3. . . . My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.  Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.   Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart. KJV

HELP NOT HURT!

10-17-2014. . . .HELP NOT HURT!

"My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, (James 1:19 NIV)  Words spoken without wisdom are like a surgeon's scalpel in the hand of the unskilled! That which was designed to help ends up hurting!  Be careful to speak words that help and not hurt.

PRAYER: Lord, may the words we speak always help and not hurt; heal and not hinder!  Amen!

James 1:19-20. . . .Dear brothers, don't ever forget that it is best to listen much, speak little, and not become angry;  for anger doesn't make us good, as God demands that we must be. TLB

SOONER OR LATER!

10-16-2014. . . .SOONER OR LATER!

". . . .Much is required from those to whom much is given, for their responsibility is greater."  (Luke 12:48b TLB)  One is still responsible even if one refuses to stand and take responsibility! NEWS FLASH!  An accounting will be required sooner are later.

PRAYER: Lord, you have given each of us much!  Help us daily to be responsible and accountable for that which you have given.  Amen

2 Cor 5:9-10. . . . Sooner or later we'll all have to face God, regardless of our conditions. We will appear before Christ and take what's coming to us as a result of our actions, either good or bad. MSG

KNOW HIS WILL PRAY HIS WORD!

10-15-2014. . . .KNOW HIS WILL PRAY HIS WORD!

"And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him."  (1 John 5:14-15 KJV) God is not technical: He is faithful.  His will is clearly expressed by His word.  To experience manifestation, know His will and pray His word!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for your word.  By it we know your will and experience your faithfulness in performing everything you have said.  Amen.

Jer 1:11-12. . . . Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.  Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it. KJV

PERSPECTIVE ADJUSTMENT!

10-14-2014. . . .PERSPECTIVE ADJUSTMENT!

"Don't refuse to accept criticism; get all the help you can."  (Prov 23:12 TLB)  No one is always right especially when it comes to our perspective of our self!  How we see our self and how others view us could be totally different.   Consider constructive criticism from others as a 'perspective adjustment,'  designed to help us be and become our best self!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for placing people in my life that will tell me the truth about me.  Help me to receive that truth and make the necessary adjustments in order that I may be and become my best self!  Amen.

Prov 26:12. . . .There is one thing worse than a fool, and that is a man who is conceited. TLB

HEARTS AND MINDS ON TRIAL!

10-10-2014. . . .HEARTS AND MINDS ON TRIAL!

Test me, O LORD, and try me, examine my heart and my mind; for your love is ever before me, and I walk continually in your truth. (Ps 26:2-3 NIV) Our hearts and minds should always be kept in such a state that if put on trial, they will be found innocent of any and all wrong doing.  Conversely, they should be found guilty of being filled with love, truth and righteousness.

PRAYER: Lord, let your precious shed blood cleanse our hearts and minds continually so that we may be found forever innocent upon examination.  Amen!

Ps 51:7-11. . . . Sprinkle me with the cleansing blood and I shall be clean again. Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.   And after you have punished me, give me back my joy again.  Don't keep looking at my sins-erase them from your sight.  Create in me a new, clean heart, O God, filled with clean thoughts and right desires.  TLB

LIVE POLLUTION FREE!

10-9-2014. . . .LIVE POLLUTION FREE!

Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life. (Prov 4:23 NKJV)  Out of a pure heart will flow a pure life.  Be careful then, not to allow anything or anyone to pollute your spring!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for giving  us a new hearts out of  which flows a new and pure life.  Strengthen us daily to be diligent in guarding our heart from all pollutants and polluters.  Amen!

1 Tim 1:5. . . .  What I am eager for is that all the Christians there will be filled with love that comes from pure hearts, and that their minds will be clean and their faith strong. TLB

LIEF'S POTENTIAL!

10-8-2014. . . .LIFE'S POTENTIAL!

"Moses was 120 years old when he died, yet his eyesight was perfect and he was as strong as a young man." (Deut 34:7-8 TLB) With God, all things are possible even life-long health, strength and prosperity. Don't allow bad life choices to diminish life's potential! When we take care of God's business, God takes care of us!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for giving us life-long health, strength and prosperity in order that we may carry out and complete your divine purpose in us! Amen!

Mark 10:27. . . .And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. KJV

SUCCESS PLANNED!

10-7-2014. . . .SUCCESS PLANNED!

"Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." (Prov 11:14KJV) Good advise and wise counsel are essential prerequisites for any successful endeavor. Why travel an unsuccessful road others have already explored? Failure avoided is success planned!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for providing us with good people who instruct us in the ways of success! Help us to be humble enough to ask and receive from them! Amen.

Josh 1:6-7. . . . Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. NIV

STEP UP STEP OUT!

10-3-2014. . . .STEP UP STEP OUT!

David said to the Philistine, "You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the LORD will hand you over to me, and I'll strike you down and cut off your head. Today I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel.  All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves; for the battle is the LORD's, and he will give all of you into our hands." (1 Sam 17:45-47) With the Lord on our side, it matters little how formidable our enemy may be.  With confidence just step up and step out for the bigger they are, the harder they'll fall!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for being on our side!  We need not fear any enemy no matter how threatening they may be.  With you we always have victory!  Thank you.  Amen!

Rom 8:31. . . .What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

WE CONTROL THE NARRATIVE!

10-2-2014. . . .WE CONTROL THE NARRATIVE!

For it is God's will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men. Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God. (1 Peter 2:15-16 NIV)  The ignorant speak loudly and often, but their words are as a nebulous vapor.  Pay them no attention and focus on doing good to all men no matter what!  That way we are in control of the narrative.

PRAYER: Lord, our desire is to do your will and please you.  Help us to not be distracted from good works by the idle words of the ignorant.  Amen!

Prov 10:6. . . .Blessings crown the head of the righteous, but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked. NIV

HIS PROMISE OUR BLESSING!

10-1-2014. . . .  HIS PROMISE OUR BLESSING!

"For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us."   (2 Cor 1:20 KJV) From God's perspective, a promise made is a blessing received.  Know His promises, know our blessings!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for every promise made and every blessing received.  Amen!

Jer 1:12. . . .Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.  KJV
