7-31-2018. . . .OBEDIENCE IS A CHOICE!

"Obey God because you are his children; don't slip back into your old ways-doing evil because you knew no better.  But be holy now in everything you do, just as the Lord is holy, who invited you to be his child.  He himself has said, "You must be holy, for I am holy." (1 Peter 1:14-16 TLB)  

Obedience is a choice!  As God's children, we are without excuse when we choose to follow our old nature and do things that dishonor who God is! Remember: We were made in His image and after His own likeness.  We are God's visible image in the world.  When the world sees us, what is their impression and opinion of God?

Prayer: Lord, thank you for creating us in your own image and likeness.  Help us daily to represent you to the world in ways that draw them to you and not drive them from you!  Amen.

Col 3:10-11. . . . You are living a brand new kind of life that is continually learning more and more of what is right, and trying constantly to be more and more like Christ who created this new life within you. 11 In this new life one's nationality or race or education or social position is unimportant; such things mean nothing. Whether a person has Christ is what matters, and he is equally available to all. TLB

CHECK YOUR GPS!

7-19-2018. . . .CHECK YOUR GPS!

"There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death."  (Prov 14:12 KJV)

According to Psalms 37:24, our steps are ordered by the Lord; suggesting a planned path and a planned destination.  It is possible, however, to veer off course and follow our own way to a completely different location.   A location that is not what we anticipated it to be and one that lands us in a place of separation from God!   Have you checked your GPS lately?  God's Positioning System is accurate and does not change! It will locate us, redirect us, and guide us back to the planned path and planned destination.  Feeling lost and out of place, Check your GPS!

PRAYER: Lord, you are the light of our pathway and the lamp to our feet.  Guides us on your path daily and keep us from veering off track by following our own way.   Amen!

HE KNOWS, HE LEADS!

7-18-2018. . . . HE KNOWS, HE LEADS!          

“He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake.” (Ps 23:3 NKJV)  

As we travel along this road of life, we know not what is ahead or what awaits us just around the next bend. Yet without delay or fear, we confidently continue advancing forward with the assurance of knowing we are being lead along the paths of righteousness. When we follow His lead, we will never get lost or stray off the path of divine purpose (for His name sake).   Like Abraham, without knowledge of the destination, we can trust Him for the journey. “For the LORD knows the way of the righteous…” ( Ps 1:6 NKJV) So relax and don’t worry.  Enjoy the journey for He is leading us into what He has ordained and promised!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you that you know the path of the righteous and that you are guiding our every step.  Guide us oh thou Great Jehovah, pilgrims through this barren land.  We are weak but thou art might - hold us with thy powerful hand.  Amen!

Job 23:10-14. . . . But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined. Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth. For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him. KJV

AT THE HEART OF IT!

7-17-2018. . . .AT THE HEART OF IT!

"For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." (Rom 10:10-11 NIV)  

One's mouth cannot confess what one's heart does not believe.  Listen carefully to the confessions of one's mouth to quickly discern the beliefs of their heart.  

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for changing our hearts in such a way that allows our beliefs and our confessions to match.   Amen.

Matt 12:34-35. . . .O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.  A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.  KJV

DON'T SWEAT IT!

7-12-2018. . . .DON'T SWEAT IT!

"And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.  (Mal 3:11 KJV)  

No matter what you do, there will always be outside forces whose sole purpose is to destroy our (produce) fruit. Their success is based upon their ability to create distractions that will result in loss of focus.  God says, however, don't sweat it!  Stay focused!   I got this!  I will repel everything and everybody that comes against you.  Nothing shall hinder or abort the manifestation of our divine purpose! 

Prayer: Lord, thank you for always having our back!  Help us stay aligned with your will and purpose.  Amen!

WAIT PATIENTLY ON YOUR DUE TIME!

6-11-2018. . . .WAIT PATIENTLY ON YOUR DUE TIME!

"If you will humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, in his good time he will lift you up.   Let him have all your worries and cares, for he is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you." (1 Peter 5:6-7 TLB)

 God has His eye on you, watching everything we do.   No matter what it looks like, He is working everything out according to His own plan and not our agenda!  Rest in Him and wait patiently on your "Due time!"

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for keeping your eye and your hand on us!  Without you we would certainly run a mock!  Lord keep us day by day!  Amen.
