HOW CAN WE FAIL!

5-17-2024. . . .HOW CAN WE FAIL!

"Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.  Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore."  (Ps 105:3-4 KJV)

In every endeavor of life, heeding these words of the psalmist will ensure success.  With His presence and His strength, how can we fail!

Prayer: Lord, there is no failure with you!  Be present with us and strengthen us in and through every endeavor of life.  Amen!

Ps 89:16-18. . . . They rejoice all day long in your wonderful reputation and in your perfect righteousness.  You are their strength. What glory! Our power is based on your favor!  TLB

EMBRACE GLORY!

 5-16-2024. . . .EMBRACE GLORY!

"For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.  And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." (2 Cor 12:8-9 KJV)

Giving God our all includes our weakness and inabilities!  Our weakness and inabilities are opportunities for God's strength to be made manifest in us.  Seek not to be released from them; embrace them and embrace glory!

Prayer: Lord, manifest your strength through our weakness and inabilities.  Let your glory be shown.  Amen!

2 Cor 12:8-10. . . . Three different times I begged God to make me well again.  Each time he said, "No. But I am with you; that is all you need. My power shows up best in weak people." Now I am glad to boast about how weak I am; I am glad to be a living demonstration of Christ's power, instead of showing off my own power and abilities.  TLB

CONTENTMENT AND SATISFACTION!

 5-15-2024. . . .CONTENTMENT AND SATISFACTION!

"Nehemiah said, "Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing  prepared.  This day is sacred to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength." (Neh 8:10 NIV)

Nothing brings greater joy than to be put in remembrance of God's precious promises to us, and His faithfulness in bringing them to pass in our lives!   Past failures are just that; past!  The joy of the Lord is our source of great contentment and satisfaction; it is our strength for service to others.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for your joy and the strength to serve others.  May we never loose our contentment and satisfaction in it.  Amen.

Ps 29:11-30:1. . . . The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace. NIV

STAY STRONG IN IN THE LORD!

 5-14-2024. . . .NO ABATEMENT!

"I am as strong now as I was when Moses sent us on that journey, and I can still travel and fight as well as I could then!  So I'm asking that you give me the hill country that the Lord promised me. You will remember that as spies we found the Anakim living there in great, walled cities, but if the Lord is with me, I shall drive them out of the land." (Josh 14:10-12 TLB)

To the faithful and obedient, the strength of the Lord is sustainable for our current assignments, tasks and battles, as well as, all future ones, with no abatement!   Stay strong in the Lord!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for strength to meet every challenge both today and in the future. Amen!

2 Sam 22:40-41. . . . For you have given me strength for the battle And have caused me to subdue All those who rose against me.  You have made my enemies Turn and run away; I have destroyed them all.  TLB

BE DONE AND MOVE ON!

5-10-2024. . . .BE DONE AND MOVE ON!

"Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all" (Ps 34:19 KJV)

The life of the righteous is not without it's challenges and rightfully so.  We too must go through difficulties and problems.  As we go through however, we are assured that we will get through because the LORD promised it!  So go through, get through, be done and move on!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for deliverance from all our afflictions.  With the assurance of your promise we endure and press on!  Amen.

Ps 23:4. . . .Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.  KJV

HE RIGHTEOUS PREVAIL ALWAYS!

5-9-2024. . . .THE RIGHTEOUS PREVAIL ALWAYS!

"Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.  But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee."  (Ps 55:22-23 KJV)

It is the Lord himself who establishes the righteous and He also sustains them especially in times of stress.  Haters, (always present) will be dealt with in due time as the righteous prevail always.

PRAYER:  Lord, thank you for establishing the righteous forever.  Prosper us as we stand firm in you!  Deal swiftly with all haters.  Amen!

Ps 68:1-3. . . .Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.  As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.  But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.  KJV

TURN WE MUST!

 5-8-2024. . . .TURN WE MUST!

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."  (2 Chron 7:14 KJV)

God has already done His part in dealing with the sin problem.  It is now up to us to do our part.  The question is, do we really want to?  The appeal of sin is like a luscious red apple that appears beautiful on the outside but once bitten, we discover it is rotten to the core on the inside.  It is hard to turn from something we really want, but turn we must!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for doing your part in dealing with the sin problem.  Help us now to do our part and turn from our sins so that you can heal our land.  Amen!

James 1:12-16. . . . And remember, when someone wants to do wrong it is never God who is tempting him, for God never wants to do wrong and never tempts anyone else to do it.  Temptation is the pull of man's own evil thoughts and wishes. These evil thoughts lead to evil actions and afterwards to the death penalty from God. 16 So don't be misled, dear brothers. TLB
