NOW I UNDERSTANDING!

8-16-2019. . . .NOW I UNDERSTAND!

"And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (Phil 4:7 KJV)

The peace of God is way beyond understanding until one experiences it!  Then, one understands!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for your peace that is beyond understanding, but so wonderful to experience.

Col 3:15. . . .Let the peace of heart that comes from Christ be always present in your hearts and lives, for this is your responsibility and privilege as members of his body. And always be thankful. TLB

GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS!

8-4-2015 . . . .GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS!

"Yet there is one ray of hope:  his compassion never ends. It is only the Lord's mercies that have kept us from complete destruction.  Great is his faithfulness; his loving-kindness begins afresh each day." (Lam 3:21-24 TLB)

On our worst days and in the midst of our most dismal dilemmas, we are never left without one ray of hope. That hope lies in the unfailing faithfulness of God! Even in spite of the fact that bad choices and decisions may have brought us to our current position, His mercy yet keeps us so that His grace will still reach us. We join with Jeremiah in proclaiming, "GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS!

PRAYER: Lord, Thank you for your mercy, grace, and faithfulness!  Amen.

Lam 3:24-26. . . . My soul claims the Lord as my inheritance; therefore I will hope in him.  The Lord is wonderfully good to those who wait for him, to those who seek for him.  It is good both to hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. TLB

WHO IS WILLING!

8-14-2019. . .WHO IS WILLING!

"Show me the path where I should go, O Lord; point out the right road for me to walk.  Lead me; teach me; for you are the God who gives me salvation. I have no hope except in you."( Ps 25:4-6TLB)

Left to our own devices, most certainly we would run-a-muck.  We've all demonstrated this in times past..  God however, is not only able, but He is also more than willing to guide and direct our steps if we ask and submit our will to His will.  Now, who is willing?

PRAYER: Lord, guide and direct our steps into the way you desire for us to go.  Keep our feet from stumbling and from wandering off in directions you have not ordered.  Amen!

Job 23:10-11. . . . But he knows every detail of what is happening to me; and when he has examined me, he will pronounce me completely innocent-as pure as solid gold!   "I have stayed in God's paths, following his steps. I have not turned aside. TLB

HE WILL ANSWER!

8-13-2019. . . .HE WILL ANSWER!

"Hear my prayer, O Lord; answer my plea because you are faithful to your promises."  (Ps 143:1 TLB)

We need not ever fear to come to God in our times of need.  With assurance, we can ask in confidence knowing that in His faithfulness, He will answer us!

PrayerLord, thank you for hearing and answering our prayers!

Ps 92:2-4. . . . Every morning tell him, "Thank you for your kindness," and every evening rejoice in all His faithfulness.  Sing his praises, accompanied by music from the harp and lute and lyre.  You have done so much for me, O Lord. No wonder I am glad! I sing for joy. TLB

TAKE RESPONSIBILITY!

8-8-2019. . . .TAKE RESPONSIBILITY!

"Listen now! The Lord isn't too weak to save you. And he isn't getting deaf! He can hear you when you call!  But the trouble is that your sins have cut you off from God. Because of sin he has turned his face away from you and will not listen anymore".  ( Isa 59:1-2 TLB)

No need to look left or right nor point a finger at anyone else.  Take responsibility!   If God is not responding or listening, (although He can hear, but chooses not to listen) remove the sin that is creating the barrier.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for always hearing us and responding when we call.  May we never allow sin to create a barrier between us and you.  Amen!

Isa 55:7. . . .Let men cast off their wicked deeds; let them banish from their minds the very thought of doing wrong! Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy upon them, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon! TLB

ILLUMINATION AND DIRECTION!

8-7-2019. . . .ILLUMINATION AND DIRECTION!

"How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!  Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.  Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.  (Ps 119:103-105 KJV)

One can't go wrong whose light and lamp is God's words.  With it as our guide, every step brings fresh illumination and clear direction to our destination and destiny.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for your word; for illumination and direction.  Amen!

Ps 119:114. . . .Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word. KJV

THE WORD IS THE WORD!

8-6-2019. . . .THE WORD IS THE WORD!

"You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you." (Deut 4:2-3 NKJV)

The word is the word!  We cannot change or adjust it to fit our own personal agendas; nor can we tailor it to justify and under-gird our selfish beliefs and doctrines.  Again, the word is the word!  Receive it - believe it - follow it!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for your word.  It is what it is!  We receive it, we believe it, and with all our power we will follow it.  Amen!

Ps 33:4-5. . . . For the word of the LORD is right, And all His work is done in truth.  He loves righteousness and justice; The earth is full of the goodness of the LORD. NKJV

WATCH WHAT YOU SAY!

8-1-2019. . . WATCH WHAT YOU SAY!

"Anyone who says he is a Christian but doesn't control his sharp tongue is just fooling himself, and his religion isn't worth much."  (James 1:26-27 TLB)

Words have power and the potential to leave a lasting impact.  Therefore, it is vitally important that people in general pay attention to what they say and how they say what they say!  For Christians in particular, it is even more so vital! We of all people should be the standard-bearers for good and controlled speech.  WATCH WHAT YOU SAY, because others are!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for the ability to communicate with words.  Help us to realize that our words have power and never to abuse the uses of them.  Amen!

James 1:26-27. . . .If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless. NIV
