10-20-2011. . . .AFFECTED OR INFECTED!
"After a little while, those standing there went up to Peter and said, "Surely you are one of them, for your accent gives you away." (Matt 26:73 NIV) What do people discern about us when they hear us speak? Does our speech draw them closer to Christ or drive them away from Him? We must guard our speech! Someone is always listening and being affected or infected by what we say!
PRAYER: Lord, help us to guard our speech so that it is a witness to the world of your grace, and not a disgrace! Amen.
Col 4:5-6. . . . Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. NIV
