Does It Matter!

4-17-2009. . . . Does it Matter!

Does it really matter what we think. . . .does it really matter what we say. . . .does it really matter where we go. . . .does it really matter what we do or what we do not do? Absolutely! It all matters. Think about it for a moment. Everything we have said and say. . . .everything we have done and do, we will have to give an accounting for it. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. (2 Cor 5:10 NIV) At this time of course, as believers, our salvation is not at stake. . . it remains eternally secure. The judgment seat of Christ (Bema) is the place of commendation where we will receive (and I believe) not receive reward for those deeds done in the body (while we live here on earth) be they good or evil. Knowing this time of accounting is immanently in our future, should we not be all the more cognizant of our actions, thoughts and our words! Is this cause to live in fear? Of course not. It is just an exhortation for us to ‘consider our ways.’ The book of Revelation speaks of a time when the ‘books’ shall be opened. When your book is opened, how will it read!

Prayer: Lord, my hope and my trust is in you. Lead me continually in the paths of righteousness for your Holy name’s sake. I commit my way unto you. Direct now my path. Amen.

Matt 25:23. . . .Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. KJV
