No Vacancies!

5-18-2009. . . . No Vacancies!

A man enters a hotel with the hope of getting a room for the evening. He walks up to the registration desk and makes his request. The attendant asked, Sir, do you have a reservation? No the man replied. The attendant then said, sorry sir, we have no vacancies! Without a reservation, there was no space available for the man to occupy. Picture your mind as a hotel and your thoughts as registered guest. The next time the enemy arrives at the hotel of your mind requesting a room for doubt. . . .fear. . . disappointment. . . .discouragement. . . .suicide. . . .disobedience and any number of other evil thoughts, as the attendant (guardian) of your mind, ask, do you have a reservation? You cannot control what thoughts come to your mind, but you can control whether they are allowed to stay in your mind and on your mind. Reply to the enemy,' No Vacancies!' Guard your thoughts! Every act of disobedience begins with a thought! “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.” ( 2 Cor 10:4-6 NKJV) Don’t allow the enemy to pay for a room in the hotel of your mind with the currency of deception or the credit card of perversion! Reserve space for only those thoughts that are pleasing to God. Right thoughts lead to right actions. “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honorable, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” (Phil 4:8 ASV)

Prayer: Lord, help me to keep my thought life pure and free from any thoughts that are not pleasing to you or that will lead me away from your divine will and purpose for my life. Amen!

Isa 26:3. . . . Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. KJV
