CHARGED AND CHANGED!

1-6-2017. . . .CHARGED AND CHANGED!

"Don't you realize that this is not the way to live? Unjust people who don't care about God will not be joining in his kingdom. Those who use and abuse each other, use and abuse sex, use and abuse the earth and everything in it, don't qualify as citizens in God's kingdom. A number of you know from experience what I'm talking about, for not so long ago you were on that list. Since then, you've been cleaned up and given a fresh start by Jesus, our Master, our Messiah, and by our God present in us, the Spirit." (1 Cor 6:9-11 MSG)  We should never become so superficially holy and righteous that we forget who and what we were before Christ saved us.  It was with immeasurable compassion and unsurpassed loving kindness that He drew us and by His great grace, we were saved!  No matter what faults or deficiencies we may see in others, the same grace that was extended to us, is the same grace that if extended to them, will save them!  We are not charged to save anyone!  We are charged to love everyone and changed to demonstrate to others that it is possible!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for making salvation available to everyone who will receive the gift of your Son, Jesus Christ.  Help us to humbly love others into the knowledge of your saving grace and to be patient and compassionate during their process.  Amen.

Jude 20-25. . . . But you, dear friends, carefully build yourselves up in this most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit, staying right at the center of God's love, keeping your arms open and outstretched, ready for the mercy of our Master, Jesus Christ. This is the unending life, the real life!  Go easy on those who hesitate in the faith.  Go after those who take the wrong way. Be tender with sinners, but not soft on sin. The sin itself stinks to high heaven.  And now to him who can keep you on your feet, standing tall in his bright presence, fresh and celebrating —  to our one God, our only Savior, through Jesus Christ, our Master, be glory, majesty, strength, and rule before all time, and now, and to the end of all time. Yes.
