"In the morning, as he was returning to Jerusalem, he was hungry and noticed a fig tree beside the road. He went over to see if there were any figs, but there were only leaves. Then he said to it, "Never bear fruit again!" And soon the fig tree withered up." (Matt 21:18-19 TLB) Are we actually producing fruit, or just appearing to have the potential do so? Potential without production is perpetration!
PRAYER: Lord, help us to maximize our potential and produce our full capacity of fruit! May we never be guilty of perpetration. Amen!
Matt 25:29-30. . . . For the man who uses well what he is given shall be given more, and he shall have abundance. But from the man who is unfaithful, even what little responsibility he has shall be taken from him. And throw the useless servant out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.' TLB
