"This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you." (John 15:12-14 KJV) Love is about sacrifice! The giving of ourselves for the benefit of others without expectation of return. It is the one commandment Jesus gave; it is the one commandment we must diligently live out!
PRAYER: Lord, thank you for your great love towards us. Help us to follow your example and live out your commandment to love others as you have loved us! Amen.
1 Cor 13:4-8. . . .Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. NIV
