5-5-2009 . . . .No More Compromise!
One of the most powerful and inspiring stories in the Bible is that of the Hebrew boys and the fiery furnace. When faced with the decision to compromise, they preferred death rather than compromise. They demonstrated what it is to be steadfast and unmovable in their faith and trust in God. Their declaration: “If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. (Dan 3:17-18 KJV) While we may not be called up to face something as drastic as a burning fiery furnace, we are constantly called upon to compromise or simply, “go along to get along.” No prayer in our schools. . . .same sex marriages. . . unmarried men and women living together. . . . divorce. . . .abortion and on and on and on! All these things have become norms in our society and we ‘the church’ remain silent! "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. (Matt 5:13 NIV) God is calling us to blow the trumpet in Zion and sound an alarm! NO MORE COMPROMISE! With the same determination as the Hebrew boys, we must demonstrate our faith and trust in God and stand against Satan and his plan of weakening believers through compromise!
Prayer: Lord, forgive us for compromising and just going alone. Help us to make a stand against all sin and unrighteousness! Thy kingdom come! Amen!
Eph 5:14-18. . . . Therefore He says: "Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light." Walk in Wisdom See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. NKJV
