4-9-09. . . . How Are You Looking Today!

Have you taken a close look at yourself today? I’m not talking about the normal superficial once over to ensure that your hair is combed, makeup applied properly teeth brushed, breath freshened and the like. Look closer. . . .Look deeper. There is something happening to you! Something wonderful going on inside you. Who you were yesterday is not who you are today; who you are today is not who you are going to be tomorrow. There are subtle yet consistent changes going on inside you. “ But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. (2 Cor 3:18 KJV ) What an incentive to live for! What a wonderful antidote for the spirit of discouragement. “And I am sure that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” ( Phil 1:6 RSV) So, I ask you again. . . . How are you looking today! Let what you see today inspire you to anticipate with great joy the change you’ll see tomorrow.

Prayer: Lord, continue your reconstruction project in me! You do all things well! I surrender to your will. Help Lord to stay out of your way! Amen.
