4-15-2009. . . .Amazing Grace!
Amazing is the word John Newton used to describe God’s Grace in the refrain of his most familiar and popular hymn. When we really think about it, God’s Grace is amazing. When we consider the very nature of it, are minds are filled with wonderment. Grace is extended to us not through any merit of our own, but totally by and through the volition of God. God decided to extend His favor and love to us. In fact, that’s what grace is. . .the free and unmerited favor and love of God! Imagine if possible, being undesirable (unlovable) and undeserving of special treatment of any kind from anyone. Everyone devalued you and no one wanted you. You had been relegated by all to the ranks of the worthless. Now, imagine that what people thought about you and said about you was true. What a state of affairs. Yet, it is in that very state that God looked our way and made the decision to extend His love as well as His favor to us. AMAZING! “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Rom 5:8 KJV) That same amazing grace that was extended to us is sufficient for us! Yes….today you have the necessary grace to keep you and strengthen you. Not only that, by that same grace comes God’s favor! You are where you are because God favored you! Here’s a bit of prophetic good news for you: His favor is about to take you to another level!!!! If you are reading this today, get ready, get set. . . .you’re on your way! Don’t be surprised by anything that happens to you or comes your way in the next thirty days!!!! When it happens, attribute it to God’s Grace and Favor! "For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly." (Ps 84:11 KJV)

2 Cor 12:9-10: My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. KJV
