4-7-09.... How Great Is Our God!
More than just the catchy opening phrase of a popular praise and worship song, this rhetorical question while impossible to answer, is well worth the investment of some quality time contemplating. If this question is asked about Michael Jordan, we need only to compare him to other great basketball players. If of Serena and Venus Williams, other great tennis players. If of corporate CEO’s, Policeman, Fireman, Layers, Doctors or any other category of endeavor we could name, we’d need only to make a comparison with their peers. "With whom will you compare me? Who is my equal?" asks the Holy One. Look up into the heavens! Who created all these stars? As a shepherd leads his sheep, calling each by its pet name, and counts them to see that none are lost or strayed, so God does with stars and planets! ( Isa 40:25-26 …TLB) God has no peer! He is simply, the Greatest! Greater than any enemy that may come against us. . . .Greater than any problem that may perplex us. . . .Greater than any weapon formed against us. It cannot and will not prosper. Then, sings my soul, my Savior God to thee…..How great Thou Art, How Great Thou Art!

Prayer: Oh God, be magnified in my life to the full measure of your Greatness!
