Release a Praise!

4-30-2009. . . . .Release A Praise!

Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! (Ps 107:8 KJV) You don’t have to look very far to find reasons to give God praise, but just in case some reasons are needed, here are a couple! His ‘Goodness’ and His ‘Wonderful Works’. Now, for the rest of the day, take note of these two reasons for praise. They are (He is) at work in your life. You can’t miss ‘Goodness’. . . .just figuratively check behind you and you’ll find it following you alongside its partner, mercy. (Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: Ps 23:6) After checking behind to see ‘Goodness’ ever following you, look forward now and see the manifestation of His ‘Wonderful Works’! Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done… (Ps 40:5) Behold creation. . . . His wonderful works! Look in the mirror. . . . His wonderful works! Every time you recognize His ‘Goodness & His Wonderful Works’, take a moment and release an instant praise! By the end of the day, you will be amazed at how much God does for us that we take for granted or simply overlook. Even more amazing is the fact that we fail to give God praise for the same. Make praise a regular part of your daily routine. Praise always gets God attention and draws Him closer to us. Because thy loving-kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. (Ps 63:3 KJV)

Prayer: Lord, You are worthy of praise, therefore I freely and continuously praise your name for your goodness and your wonderful works! Amen!

Ps 111:1-4. . . . Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation. The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein. His work is honorable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever. He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion. KJV

No Deposit No Return!

4-29-2009. . . . No Deposit No Return!

Many of us can remember a time when soft drinks came in glass bottles. The glass bottles were reusable and as such, when returned, a deposit was paid. As time advanced the bottles changed and were no longer reusable. Each bottle was stamped with the words ‘No Deposit No Return’. In essence the bottling company was saying ‘This bottle is of no further value and uses to us therefore, don’t return it to us! In much the same way as the bottles, daily we dispatch people in and out of our lives determining them to be of no further value or uses. Is it a stretch to make this parallel. . . . probably. Nevertheless, consider the number of people that cross our paths each day. Many are unhappy, hurting, angry, discouraged, confused and abused. More often then we think, just a small deposit into their lives could make a difference or change their circumstance. Are we to be the world’s problem solvers. . . .not exactly. But, perhaps a deposit of a smile or a kind word; perhaps a view minutes to listen to someone vent or to pray with someone feeling sad. You’ll be surprised with the return a small deposit can bring. But, No Deposit, No Return! Think about it! Keep on loving each other as brothers. 2 Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it. 3 Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering. ( Heb 13:1-3 NIV)

Prayer: Lord, help me to be sensitive to the people you allow to cross my path today. Where I can make a deposit, help me to do so. Amen!

Prov 18:2424. . . . A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.KJV

It's A Good Day!

4-28-2009. . . .It’s A Good Day!

Have you ever heard someone ask the question, ‘How is your day’ and the response received was, “I am having a bad day”. Perhaps it was you that was asked and the response was yours! The truth of the matter is , there are no ‘Bad Days’! God only made ‘Good Days’. (see Genesis 1) Bad things may happen during the course of a day, but the day remains good. Therefore, with this understanding, don’t allow your perspective to become clouded by unpleasant circumstances or bad things that may occur during the course of your day. Keeping everything in it’s proper context allows you to experience bad things, while continuing to live through the rest of a ‘Good Day’. Your attitude about what you experience will be better. It may not do anything to change the circumstance or situation, but it will help you to get pass or through it. “This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. (Ps 118:24 NIV)

Prayer: Lord, thank you for every ‘Good Day’! No matter what happens to me in this day, help me to keep it all in the proper perspective and have a good attitude! Amen!

Gen 1:31. . . . And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. (KJV)

He's Workng It Out!

4-27-2009. . . . He’s Working It Out!

Here is a wonderful reminder to start off your week! God has a plan for your life and He’s working it out. It’s true! From the very beginning, in fact, before your beginning, God decided to bless the world with a ‘YOU’! So fearfully and wonderfully made were you, God determined there was no need for another. “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”( Jer 29:11-12NIV) Hope and a future! These two will always be with you. Yes, after every failure. . . . after every let down. . . . and after every disappointment, there remains, hope and a future; 'Your Future' that God has planned! “In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps. (Prov 16:9 NIV) Though our plans fail, God directs our steps back on course toward the future He has in store for us. " The Lord will work out his plans for my life-for your loving-kindness, Lord, continues forever. Don't abandon me-for you made me. (Ps 138:8NIV) So, don’t worry. . . .don’t get overly discouraged. . . .don’t get frustrated or be impatient. Just remember, “He’s Working It Out! And what a wonderful life it is!!!!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for the plan you have for my life! I give you my all. . . .have your way in my life and with my life! Amen!

Heb 10:35-38. . . . Do not let this happy trust in the Lord die away, no matter what happens. Remember your reward! You need to keep on patiently doing God's will if you want him to do for you all that he has promised. His coming will not be delayed much longer. And those whose faith has made them good in God's sight must live by faith, trusting him in everything. Otherwise, if they shrink back, God will have no pleasure in them. TLB

T. G. I. F.!

4-24-2009. . . .T.G.I.F.!

Everyone has become familiar with the acrostic T. G. I. F. (Thank God Its Friday) Weekly this acrostic is the mantra of the working class, expressing relief that another long week of labor is complete and at least for the next two days, ‘freedom’ from work is experienced. The joy of that freedom however, is short lived because Monday morning comes far to soon! Isn’t it good to know that the ‘Freedom’ Christ gives us is not short lived and is experienced continually! “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”( John 8:36) We are free from sin, guilt, condemnation. . . .free to worship, pray, praise and abound in His grace. So let’s keep the same acrostic, but give it a new meaning. T. G. I. F. THANK GOD I’M FREE!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for making me free indeed. In you a now live, move and have my being! Thank you that I’ll never be bound again. Amen!

Gal 5:1-2. . . . “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.” NKJV

Your Open Door!

4-23-2009 . . . .Your Open Door!

There is an implicit blessing declared in the opening verses of the book of Revelation. Specifically, verse three declares Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. (Rev 1:3 KJV) That’s just mind blowing! By reading. . . .by hearing the word of the prophecy. . . .by keeping those things written therein, a blessing comes upon us! What blessing? There are many, but here is just one. “ . . . Behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it . . .” This moment you have just read the word. . . .you have heard it again in your spirit, now keep what has been written and by faith, walk through the open door set before you today! Each one of us has a different door, but an open door nonetheless. The open door represents opportunity! Opportunity may manifest itself in many ways. While it may not be a new job, home, car or other material blessings, it may be the opportunity to renew a relationship. . . .sow a seed into someone’s life. . . .put a smile on someone’s face! It may be giving a ride to a perfect stranger or walking up to someone at the gas station and paying for their gas. Mine is not to say what the opportunity is, but only to remind you and exhort you to know that it is there! It is exclusively yours. God has opened it and no man, woman or devil in hell can shut it. All praise be to God! “This is the LORD's doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.” (Ps 118:23 KJV)

Prayer: Lord, Thank you for blessing me and setting before me this day an open door of opportunity. I believe that by you bringing me to it, you have equipped me to go through it! Bless your holy name, Amen!

Rev 3:7-9. . . . "Write this letter to the leader of the church in Philadelphia. "This message is sent to you by the one who is holy and true and has the key of David to open what no one can shut and to shut what no one can open. "I know you well; you aren't strong, but you have tried to obey and have not denied my Name. Therefore, I have opened a door to you that no one can shut. "Note this: I will force those supporting the causes of Satan while claiming to be mine (but they aren't-they are lying) to fall at your feet and acknowledge that you are the ones I love. TLB

Watch Your Mouth!

4-22-2009. . . .Watch Your Mouth!

Ever say something to someone and as soon as the final word fell from your lips, you wished you could take it back? Remember seeing the expression on the person’s face that indicated they were offended by what you said? On the other hand, remember saying something to someone and instantly after you said it, their whole mood and demeanor changed and they were obviously blessed and uplifted by what you said. That is the power we have in our mouths. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." (Prov 18:21KJV! ) We have the ability to speak life or death to a situation or circumstance. It all depends on which we choose to do. I would like to believe that most of us intentionally set out daily to speak life into every situation and circumstance we encounter however, there are times when we end up doing the complete opposite and speak death instead of life. What is speaking death? That which causes separation and disunity. . . . being harsh or rude. . . .being negative and condescending. . . . engaging in or entertaining conversations not becoming a Christian. Speaking life on the other hand, is that which brings together. . . .builds up and encourages. . . .supports and defends. “Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other's faults because of your love. Try always to be led along together by the Holy Spirit and so be at peace with one another.” ( Eph 4:2-3 TLB) One word can cause a war or bring about peace. . . . one word can stir up strife and turmoil or bring calm and comfort. Therefore, a heart examination is desperately needed; for out of it’s reservoir the mouth speaks! “ A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; (LIFE) and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: (DEATH) for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. (Luke 6:45 KJV) The choice is ours today! Let's choose to speak life and not death!

Prayer: Lord, use my mouth today to speak only life! Strengthen me in those times when I'm tempted to say and do otherwise! Thank you Lord, Amen!

Ps 19:14. . . . Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.KJV

Love Is the Way!

4-21-2009. . . . Love is the Way!

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. (John 13:34-35 KJV) How well are you doing with this commandment? If it were possible to rate it on a scale of one to ten, what would your number be? Is it high. . . . is it low; or does it seem to fluctuate from day to day. . . . situation to situation. . . . even person to person? To say the least, this is an interesting premise to consider. If we are really honest, the word “Inconsistent” may come to mine to best answer the question of how well we are doing with the command to love. The qualifier is the part where Jesus says, “As I have loved you!” One might ask, ‘in an advanced society and given the nature of how people are, is it even possible to have this kind of love? Society has advanced. . .yes and the nature of people makes it challenging. . . . indeed. However, love has not changed. . . .it remains the same. “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. “ (1 Cor 13:4-8 NIV) Would Jesus give us a command we could not fulfill? No! In spite of the challenges to do so, we must as disciples of Christ, carry out this command daily. The world is in need of it! I encourage you now with the words of one of my wisest mentors, “Love hardest when it’s the hardest to love.”

Prayer: Lord, thank you for loving me the way you do. Help me to be consistent in loving others the way you love me. Amen!

1 John 3:18-20. . . . . Little children, let us stop just saying we love people; let us really love them, and show it by our actions. Then we will know for sure, by our actions, that we are on God's side, and our consciences will be clear, even when we stand before the Lord. But if we have bad consciences and feel that we have done wrong, the Lord will surely feel it even more, for he knows everything we do. TLB

What's My Motivation!

4-20-2009. . . .What's My Motivation!

No one likes or wants to feel unappreciated for work done or service rendered. We would like to feel that all the time, effort and extra care we put in is valued and at the very least, acknowledged if not appreciated. What happens when it’s not! Upon whose shoulders does the burden of responsibility for the offense fall. . . .the person being served or the person serving? Initially, it would seem the person being served would bare the burden of full responsibility for demonstrating insensitivity, and ungratefulness. However, when we consider the ‘motivation’ factor, in most cases, the server must shoulder some responsibility as well. Work hard and cheerfully at all you do, just as though you were working for the Lord and not merely for your masters, remembering that it is the Lord Christ who is going to pay you, giving you your full portion of all he owns. He is the one you are really working for. And if you don't do your best for him, he will pay you in a way that you won't like-for he has no special favorites who can get away with shirking. (Col 3:23-25 TLB) Whether it is on our jobs, in our relationships, in our churches or where ever we are called upon to serve, consider your motivation for doing what you do. If our motivation is to receive thanks, attention or affirmation from men, in many cases we will be disappointed. Am I suggesting then, that we avail ourselves to be proverbial “doormats”. . . . not in the least. Simply, always consider the greater good. It is God who has positioned us to do what we do. Let pleasing Him be our sole motivation! From Him will come our rich reward!

Prayer: Lord, may everything I do this week be pleasing to you. Position me to be a blessing to those I serve and keep my motivation pure. Amen!

Col 3:22-25. . . . Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God: And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons. KJV

Does It Matter!

4-17-2009. . . . Does it Matter!

Does it really matter what we think. . . .does it really matter what we say. . . .does it really matter where we go. . . .does it really matter what we do or what we do not do? Absolutely! It all matters. Think about it for a moment. Everything we have said and say. . . .everything we have done and do, we will have to give an accounting for it. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. (2 Cor 5:10 NIV) At this time of course, as believers, our salvation is not at stake. . . it remains eternally secure. The judgment seat of Christ (Bema) is the place of commendation where we will receive (and I believe) not receive reward for those deeds done in the body (while we live here on earth) be they good or evil. Knowing this time of accounting is immanently in our future, should we not be all the more cognizant of our actions, thoughts and our words! Is this cause to live in fear? Of course not. It is just an exhortation for us to ‘consider our ways.’ The book of Revelation speaks of a time when the ‘books’ shall be opened. When your book is opened, how will it read!

Prayer: Lord, my hope and my trust is in you. Lead me continually in the paths of righteousness for your Holy name’s sake. I commit my way unto you. Direct now my path. Amen.

Matt 25:23. . . .Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. KJV

Daily Benefits!

4-16-2009. . . .Daily Benefits!

I received an email once that was entitled ‘Message from God.’ The message said, “Good morning this is God. . . I will be handling all your problems today. . . I will not be needing any assistance from you . . . have a nice day.” The levity of the message was quite humorous, but no less true. Consider it in the context of Psalm 68:19. . . ."Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.” The word ‘Selah’ at the end of the verse is likened unto a punctuation or a musical notation - -a rest or a pause. In other words, take a moment to think about what was just said. ‘He daily loads us with benefits!’ He daily bares all our burdens. . . .a task He freely and willingly takes upon Himself; never seeking or needing any assistance from us, though the burdens are ours. When we awoke this morning, before our feet could hit the floor and even before we bowed our knees to pray, we had already received our daily allotment of benefits. Let’s see now: new mercies, we need that. . . . forgiveness of sin, we need that. . . .everything that pertains to life and to godliness, we need that. . . .redemption through His blood, we have that! I could and will go on with my list later, but right now, I invite you to ‘Selah’. . . . pause. . . take a moment to think about all the benefits that He has daily loaded us with, and then join me in completing the list. I doubt if we can finish it. In fact, I believe the more we look, the more we’ll discover. I have a suspicion however, that most people are so locked into their own routines and agendas that they never pause (Selah) not even for second, to recognize the benefits they have received. . . .Benefits expressly provided to lighten their burdens and enable them in this day they have never seen before. . . and will never see again. . . to simply rejoice and be glad in it! "This is the day, which the LORD hath, made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Ps 118:24 KJV

Prayer: Lord, Thank you for freely and willingly taking on all my burdens today! You can handle them much better than I can. Amen!

Matt 11:28-30. . . . Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. KJV

Amazing Grace!

4-15-2009. . . .Amazing Grace!

Amazing is the word John Newton used to describe God’s Grace in the refrain of his most familiar and popular hymn. When we really think about it, God’s Grace is amazing. When we consider the very nature of it, are minds are filled with wonderment. Grace is extended to us not through any merit of our own, but totally by and through the volition of God. God decided to extend His favor and love to us. In fact, that’s what grace is. . .the free and unmerited favor and love of God! Imagine if possible, being undesirable (unlovable) and undeserving of special treatment of any kind from anyone. Everyone devalued you and no one wanted you. You had been relegated by all to the ranks of the worthless. Now, imagine that what people thought about you and said about you was true. What a state of affairs. Yet, it is in that very state that God looked our way and made the decision to extend His love as well as His favor to us. AMAZING! “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Rom 5:8 KJV) That same amazing grace that was extended to us is sufficient for us! Yes….today you have the necessary grace to keep you and strengthen you. Not only that, by that same grace comes God’s favor! You are where you are because God favored you! Here’s a bit of prophetic good news for you: His favor is about to take you to another level!!!! If you are reading this today, get ready, get set. . . .you’re on your way! Don’t be surprised by anything that happens to you or comes your way in the next thirty days!!!! When it happens, attribute it to God’s Grace and Favor! "For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly." (Ps 84:11 KJV)

Prayer: Lord, thank you for your grace and favor that is so amazing! I stand ready to go to the next level and I thank you in advance as I receive unexpected blessings from unexpected places within the next thirty days. Amen!

2 Cor 12:9-10: My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. KJV

Anticipation!

4-13-09. . . .Anticipation!

What are you looking forward to? Perhaps starting a new job. . .starting a new relationship. . . your next birthday. . .lunch with friends or co-workers. . .getting off from work today and going home to be with your family. Anticipation is looking forward with certainty, to a thing or event we know will happen. Are you anticipating Jesus’ return? It could happen and moment now, you know! Jesus said, “…I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. (John 14:2-3 KJV) It may be in the morning, maybe at noonday. . . .maybe in the evening or at midnight! It may be while we are working or while we are sleeping. One thing is for certain. It’s going to happen. The disciples were asked when Jesus departed into heaven, “…why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. (Acts 1:11 KJV) Are you anticipating His return or have you been lured into a false sense of security in thinking that His return will yet be delayed. Delayed or not, we are to live in a state of readiness and anticipation of His return. Remember the ten virgins of Matthew 25? Five were wise and five were foolish! In what group or you. . . .wise or foolish? “...Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. (Matt 25:13) Anticipation. . . . the condition of looking forward to something! "...For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. "(Heb 10:37 KJV)

Prayer: Lord, with great anticipation we look forward to your return. Thank you for loving us enough to return for us so that we may be together throughout eternity. Amen!

Rev 22:20-21 "He who has said all these things declares: Yes, I am coming soon!" Amen! Come, Lord Jesus! The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen! (TLB)

Salvation In An Instant!

4-10-2009. . . . Salvation in an Instant!

Over two thousand years ago a criminal, one convicted, condemned and justifiably crucified, turned to Jesus and made a simple request. "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom." (Luke 23:42 NKJV) The thief knew not when Jesus would enter into His kingdom, only that He most certainly would. Therefore, it is conceivable that he believed his request would be fulfilled at some point in the future and not immediately. To his surprise however, Jesus immediately responded to his ‘faith’ not just his request. “And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.” (Luke 23:43) Although he was a thief….guilty, convicted and condemned, he received salvation in an instant! Amazing! Jesus still responds immediately to ‘faith’ with salvation in an instant. Though one be a sinner….guilty and deserving of death, the gift on God (eternal life) is available to all who confess and believe. ….If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Rom 10:9 KJV) Jesus accepts us where we are and like we are. He saves us and then transforms us from how we are. When someone becomes a Christian, he becomes a brand new person inside. He is not the same anymore. A new life has begun! All these new things are from God who brought us back to himself through what Christ Jesus did. (2 Cor 5:17-18 TLB) On this ‘Good Friday’, remember Jesus’ sacrifice made it possible for us to have ‘Salvation in an Instant! Tell everyone you know!!!!

Prayer: Thank you Jesus for coming into my heart and saving me. Thank you for sacrificing your life for my sins and for the sins of the world.

Luke 23:39-43. . . . And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise. KJV

How Are You Looking Today!

4-9-09. . . . How Are You Looking Today!

Have you taken a close look at yourself today? I’m not talking about the normal superficial once over to ensure that your hair is combed, makeup applied properly teeth brushed, breath freshened and the like. Look closer. . . .Look deeper. There is something happening to you! Something wonderful going on inside you. Who you were yesterday is not who you are today; who you are today is not who you are going to be tomorrow. There are subtle yet consistent changes going on inside you. “ But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. (2 Cor 3:18 KJV ) What an incentive to live for! What a wonderful antidote for the spirit of discouragement. And I am sure that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” ( Phil 1:6 RSV) So, I ask you again. . . . How are you looking today! Let what you see today inspire you to anticipate with great joy the change you’ll see tomorrow.

Prayer: Lord, continue your reconstruction project in me! You do all things well! I surrender to your will. Help Lord to stay out of your way! Amen.

1 John 3:2. . . . Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. KJV

Live the Abundant Life Now!

4-8-09….Live the Abundant Life Now!

From the very beginning, God’s desire was for us to live and enjoy life in all its fullness. Geneses tells us He planted a garden eastward in Eden and He placed the man He created there. Where? In a place of peace and beauty. . . .In a place of prosperity and no lack! Did God’s plan ever change? No! The enemy, whose desire is always the opposite of God’s, cunningly and craftily tricked man into abdicating his choice position. The enemy…Your Enemy is still at work advancing his plan of deception. The thief cometh not but for to steal, kill and to destroy!!! Take inventory of your life. Look at the areas where the enemy’s filthy finger prints can be found. In every area of lack. . . .in every area of defeat. . . in every area where the enemy has caused subtraction instead of multiplication and barrenness instead fruitfulness. Speak to those areas and declare, "God wants me to have more than what I have right now. . . . Therefore, I want what God wants for me!" Come on! Don’t be afraid! Declare it! You shall declare a thing and it shall be established. Believe it. Jesus did. He declared, I am come that they might have life in all its fullness. As a believer, you don’t have to participate in the current economic down turn! Turn it up! Live the abundant life now!

Prayer: Thank you Lord for providing me with life in full abundance. Grant me the wisdom and courage to live it now!

John 10:10. . . . The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. KJV

How Great Is Our God!

4-7-09.... How Great Is Our God!

More than just the catchy opening phrase of a popular praise and worship song, this rhetorical question while impossible to answer, is well worth the investment of some quality time contemplating. If this question is asked about Michael Jordan, we need only to compare him to other great basketball players. If of Serena and Venus Williams, other great tennis players. If of corporate CEO’s, Policeman, Fireman, Layers, Doctors or any other category of endeavor we could name, we’d need only to make a comparison with their peers. "With whom will you compare me? Who is my equal?" asks the Holy One. Look up into the heavens! Who created all these stars? As a shepherd leads his sheep, calling each by its pet name, and counts them to see that none are lost or strayed, so God does with stars and planets! ( Isa 40:25-26 …TLB) God has no peer! He is simply, the Greatest! Greater than any enemy that may come against us. . . .Greater than any problem that may perplex us. . . .Greater than any weapon formed against us. It cannot and will not prosper. Then, sings my soul, my Savior God to thee…..How great Thou Art, How Great Thou Art!

Prayer: Oh God, be magnified in my life to the full measure of your Greatness!

Ps 145:3-6. . . . Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness. KJV

Phil 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (NIV)
