"Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God." (1 Peter 2:16 NIV) Free does not mean live life with reckless abandon and as the Isley Brothers sing, "It's your thang, do what you want to do!" On the contray, our freedom in Christ demands that we live a life of constraint knowing, that every thing that is good to us is not necessarily good for us, and more importantly, for those watching us!
PRAYER: Lord, we thank you for our freedom in you. Help us to live so that others can clearly see you and your transforming power at work within us. May our lives never be a stumbling block to others. Amen!
1 Cor 10:23-24. . . . "Everything is permissible"-but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible"-but not everything is constructive. Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others. NIV
