"Do you see what this means — all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we'd better get on with it. Strip down, start running — and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed — that exhilarating finish in and with God." (Heb 12:1-2 LBT)
With patience and determination, catch your second wind and run your race to the end. Others have successfully run before us and are cheering us on. We cannot let them down and more importantly, we cannot let God or ourselves down. The finish line is in sight. Stay focused and, Go For It!
PRAYER: Lord, strengthen us to run this race of faith with patience and determination. Thank you for the opportunity and we won't let you down. Amen!
1 Cor 9:24-25. . . . In a race, everyone runs, but only one person gets first prize. So run your race to win. To win the contest you must deny yourselves many things that would keep you from doing your best. An athlete goes to all this trouble just to win a blue ribbon or a silver cup, but we do it for a heavenly reward that never disappears. TLB
