"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9 kjv) Resist the temptation to self judge; the result will always be to convict, condemn, and crucify. Jesus has a better way. Come clean and confess; He'll take it from there and forgive us, then work with us, in us and through us to eradicate the sin problem so that the actions will not be repeated. Now that's deliverance through love!
PRAYER: Lord, thank you for not throwing us away when we mess up! Your faithfulness to us is unmatched. Help us to daily walk in your righteousness. Amen.
Rom 5:16-17. . . . Again, the gift of God is not like the result of the one man's sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.
