WE’RE GOOD!

11-30-2023. . . .WE'RE GOOD!

"We are pressed on every side by troubles, but not crushed and broken. We are perplexed because we don't know why things happen as they do, but we don't give up and quit.  We are hunted down, but God never abandons us. We get knocked down, but we get up again and keep going.  These bodies of ours are constantly facing death just as Jesus did; so it is clear to all that it is only the living Christ within [who keeps us safe]."  (2 Cor 4:8-10 TLB)  

With confidence and patience we navigate are way through every change and challenge of life knowing we are good, because God's got us!

PRAYER: Lord, we thank you for being in control and having everything under control.  No matter what we must face and endure, we know you've got us!  For this we thank you continuously.  Amen!

Rom 8:28. . . . And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.  NIV

PREPARE FOR GREATER!

11-29-2023. . . .PREPARE FOR GREATER!

"Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." ( Phil 3:13-14 KJV) 

Nothing more can be done about the things in our past; that includes the good things as well as, the not so good things.  There is however, much to be done about what lies ahead of us!  Although, there may be giants in the land, (obstacles, things to overcome) we are well able to achieve if we set our minds to press forward no matter what.  The prize is ahead of us not behind us!  Prepare for greater!  

Prayer: Lord, thank you for the opportunity to enter into another new year.  We will not be detoured by obstacles or hindrances that may appear in our way.  In You we press ahead toward the prize!  Amen.

Heb 12:1-2. . . . Since we have such a huge crowd of men of faith watching us from the grandstands, let us strip off anything that slows us down or holds us back, and especially those sins that wrap themselves so tightly around our feet and trip us up; and let us run with patience the particular race that God has set before us.   Keep your eyes on Jesus, our leader and instructor. He was willing to die a shameful death on the cross because of the joy he knew would be his afterwards; and now he sits in the place of honor by the throne of God.  TLB

WE ARE WHO WE ARE!

 11-28-2023. . . .WE ARE WHO WE ARE!

"And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.   But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."  (Matt 4:3-4 KJV)  

We are who God says we are!  What the tempter says or what our haters say about us is of little or no importance.  We don't have to prove who we are, (Jesus didn't fall for it) just be who we are!  Never feed off what the world has to offer, (bread alone) but by the proceeding and prevailing word of God!  It will constantly and consistently lead us and affirm to the world that we are who we are!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for declaring even before we were formed in the womb, who we are!  Living by your proceeding and prevailing word verifies to the world that we are who we are!  Amen.

Heb 11:3. . . . Through faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. KJV

THANKFUL!

11-24-2023. . . .THANKFUL!

"No matter what happens, always be thankful, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. (1 Thess 5:17-18 TLB)  

Whatever happens to us, for us, even against us, we know that God is at work always for our good.  Bad things will happen to good people and good things will happen to the same.  In both instances, our disposition remains the same; THANKFUL!

Prayer: Lord, in everything and for all things, we remain thankful.  Amen!

1 Thess 5:16-18. . . . Be joyful always;  pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. NIV 

VERY THANKFUL!

 11/22/2023. . . .VERY THANKFUL!

Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.  Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. (Ps 100:3-4 KJV)  

Consider for a moment who we would be, how we would be, or even perhaps, if we would be had someone other than God made us!  Even if we trusted that responsibility to those we feel really care the most about us, the truth of the matter is, they would make us something and someone different than who we are now!   Whether that would work for our good or not we will never know.  What we do know is that we were made in God's own image and after His likeness; the result is beautiful and wonderful!  For this, we are Thankful and continually bless His name!

PRAYER: Lord, we are thankful that you created us in your own image and after your own likeness.  Yet, you gifted each of us with our own uniqueness.  For this, we remain and will forever be thankful!  Amen.

Ps 139:14. . . .I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful,

I know that full well.  (NIV)

DEFINITION OF AWESOME!

 11-21-23. . . . DEFINITION OF AWESOME!

"How precious it is, Lord, to realize that you are thinking about me constantly! I can't even count how many times a day your thoughts turn toward me.  And when I waken in the morning, you are still thinking of me! (Ps 139:17 TLB)

At last count in 2021, the population of the earth stood at 7.888 billion people!  What is the likelihood that even one percent or less of those people would have us on their mind constantly?   Not likely at all.  God, who is one God, however, has each one of the 7.888 billion people constantly on His mind both collectively and individually!  Now, that is the definition of AWESOME!  

PRAYER: Lord, you are Awesome!  Only you can do what only you can do!  We praise you continually for your faithfulness unto your people!  Amen.

Ps 139:1-5. . . . O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me.  You know when I sit or stand. When far away you know my every thought. You chart the path ahead of me and tell me where to stop and rest. Every moment you know where I am.  You know what I am going to say before I even say it.  You both precede and follow me and place your hand of blessing on my head. TLB
