LIVE IT OUT!

2-24-2023. . . .LIVE IT OUT!

"It is God himself who has made us what we are and given us new lives from Christ Jesus; and long ages ago he planned that we should spend these lives in helping others." (Eph 2:10 TLB)

God created us on purpose and with purpose.  We live out that purpose fully by extending ourselves to help others.  Live it out!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for creating us on purpose and with purpose!  Help us live out that purpose by helping others.  Amen!

Eccl 4:9-10. . . . Two can accomplish more than twice as much as one, for the results can be much better. 10 If one falls, the other pulls him up; but if a man falls when he is alone, he's in trouble. TLB

2-23-2023. . . .STAY SHARP!

“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” (Prov 27:17 NIV)

The sharpening process is not always comfortable, but is always necessary.  What impact are the people around us having on our life: and perhaps more importantly, what impact are we having on the lives of those around us?   Daily we will come in contact with many people.  Therefore, stay sharp and challenge others around you to be sharp!

PrayerLord, continue to make me sharp in order that I may have a positive and sharpening impact on the lives of others. Amen!

Prov 27:19. . . . As water reflects a face, so a man's heart reflects the man. (NIV)

A BETTER LIFE!

 2-21-2023. . . .A BETTER LIFE!

"But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." (1 Cor 2:14 KJV)

Equally as important as developing our five natural senses, is the need to develop our spiritual discernment.  Spiritual discernment enables us to distinguish between 'God things' and 'Other things!  The keener our discernment, the better our life choices which will ultimately result in an overall, better life!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for the gift of discernment.  Help us to develop our gift so that we may know and choose the things that you have freely given to us!    Amen.

1 Cor 2:12. . . .Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.   KJV

JUST DO IT!

WE ARE BETTER NOW!

3-17-2023. . . .WE ARE BETTER NOW!

"For as you know him better, he will give you, through his great power, everything you need for living a truly good life: he even shares his own glory and his own goodness with us!  And by that same mighty power he has given us all the other rich and wonderful blessings he promised; for instance, the promise to save us from the lust and rottenness all around us, and to give us his own character."  (2 Peter 1:3-4 TLB)

Knowing Jesus has given us this testimony: "We are better now, then we were before."   We may not be all we shall be, but we are certainly not what, nor who we used to be!  PRAISE GOD!  The good news is, we are getting better and better everyday!

Prayer: Lord, thank you that you didn't leave us like you found us!  Your love has transformed us into a new creation being made better and better everyday.  For this we give you thanks!  Amen.

Eph 1:19-21. . . . I pray that you will begin to understand how incredibly great his power is to help those who believe him. It is that same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in heaven, far, far above any other king or ruler or dictator or leader. Yes, his honor is far more glorious than that of anyone else either in this world or in the world to come. TLB

BE WHO YOU ARE!

3-16-2023. . . .BE WHO YOU ARE!

"And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread." (Matt 4:3 KJV)

Although, the enemy may tempt us to do things out of character to prove who we are, we never deviate from the word of God which declares who we are!  Remember, we never have to prove to the enemy who we are, but simply be who we are!

Prayer: Lord, thank you that through your Son Jesus, you have made us your children.  We have nothing to prove to the enemy.  Amen!

1 John 3:1-2. . . . See how very much our heavenly Father loves us, for he allows us to be called his children-think of it-and we really are! But since most people don't know God, naturally they don't understand that we are his children. TLB
