OUR ADVANTAGE!

9-14-2017. . . .OUR ADVANTAGE!

"Oh, how I love your law!  I meditate on it all day long.  Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever with me." (Ps 119:97-98 NIV)  

As believers, we will always encounter enemies (haters, perpetrators, impersonators) along our path to glory.  The one advantage we have that makes us wiser than any foe, is His word.  His word is our light and guide.  When we follow it, we always have a clear advantage and end up in Victory lane!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for your word that gives us an advantage over all our enemies.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!  Amen.

 Ps 18:2-3. . . .The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.  I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies. (NIV)

PUT UP OR SHUT UP!

"Work brings profit; talk brings poverty!" (Prov 14:23 TLB)  

What one says one will do matters little.  It's what one does that counts!  Put up or shut up!

Prayer: Lord, help us to be doers and not talkers!  Amen!

PERFECT HEARTS WILLING MINDS!

8-24-2017. . . .PERFECT HEARTS WILLING MINDS!

King David wisely advised his son, Solomon, to . . . "know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts. . . (1 Chron 28:9KJV) 

We would do well to follow the same wise advice. Whatever is in our hearts and minds is not hidden from God. Spoken or unspoken, He knows it all. Let us examine our hearts and purify our minds today and serve God with perfect hearts and willing minds!

Prayer: Lord, you search me and know me. There is nothing within me that is hidden from you. May your search of my heart and mind yield only that which is pleasing unto you! Amen!

Ps 139:23-24. . . . Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. KJV

COMMAND AND CONTROL!

8-23-2017. . . .COMMAND AND CONTROL!

"And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.  And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?  (Mark 4:39-40 KJV)  

In the midst of every storm remember, Jesus can still command peace and cause everything to settle down and be still.  It's called Command and Control!  All that's required of us is faith.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for having command and control over all storms that may arise in our lives.  Help us to have faith that does not waver and faint.  Amen!

Mark 11:22-23. . . .And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. KJV

HE WILL NOT!

8-17-17. . .NOT BECAUSE HE CAN'T!

"There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee."  (Josh 1:5 KJV)  

The long standing and often stated adage that "God can do anything, but fail" is not grounded in an inability on God's part to do so!  If God can do any thing, then He most certainly can do every thing including fail!  Rather, God does not fail because He has declared and determined that He WILL NOT FAIL!  His word will never return to him void.  Our faith and trust in God then are strengthened by knowing that it's not because He cannot fail, (He can do anything) but because He WILL NOT fail!

PRAYER: Mighty God, thank you for declaring and determining that you will not ever fail us!  There is no lack in your ability to do any and every thing!  Your word is your expressed will and we stand firmly upon the fact that it shall never fail or return to you void.  Amen.

 Isa 55:11. . . .11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void,

But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.  NKJV

STRENGTH AND PEACE!

8-15-2017. . . .STRENGTH AND PEACE! 

"The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace."  (Ps 29:11 KJV) 

Two things we can expect from the Lord, "Strength and Peace!"  With these, we can make it through and endure anything.  With strength, we can do the things that need to be done in the situation; with peace we can maintain our sanity while doing it!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for strength and peace!  Amen.

John 14:27. . . . "I am leaving you with a gift-peace of mind and heart! And the peace I give isn't fragile like the peace the world gives. So don't be troubled or afraid." TLB

YOU FINISH IT!

8-10-2017. . . .YOU FINISH IT!

"I bless the holy name of God with all my heart.  Yes, I will bless the Lord and not forget the glorious things he does for me.  He forgives all my sins. He heals me.  He ransoms me from hell. He surrounds me with loving-kindness and tender mercies.  He fills my life with good things! My youth is renewed like the eagle's! (Ps 103:1-6 TLB)  

A good way to start each day is to think about the benefits we enjoy by being God's children. It is certain we won't get too far down the list before we have to stop and bless His name!  When I think of His goodness and all that He has done for me. . . . .you finish it!

PRAYER: Lord, we praise and bless your name for your goodness and all the wonderful benefits you daily load upon us!  Hallelujah, Bless your name!  Amen.
