"What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?" (Rom 8:31 KJV)
2-23-2024. . . . SET YOUR MIND ACCORDINGLY!
Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. (COLOSSIANS 3:2) KJV
If we allow our minds to wonder, it won't be long before our feet began to wander and we stray from the path of righteousness! However, if we set our minds on things above, in other words, value the things of God more than what this present world has to offer we will avoid being tripped up by the plots and plans of the enemy and being drawn away by our own lust and deceived. Stay the course and set your mind accordingly!
PRAYER: Lord, help us to daily set our mind on things above so that we neither wonder or wander from the path of righteousness. Amen!
ST. LUKE 12: 19-21. . . .“ Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
2-22-2024. . . .PRIORITIZING GOD!
By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. (Hebrews 11:5) KJV
How awesome it is to have the testimony that “He pleased God! Obviously, Enoch prioritized pleasing God and paid the price as well as, made the necessary sacrifices to do so! What is our testimony! As we mature in Christ and life in general, we should see far less things that displease God and more things that please Him! Let’s strive like Enoch, to make pleasing God our priority!
PRAYER: Lord, help us to daily live a life that is pleasing to you. Strengthen us to do so! Amen.
PSALMS 1:2….But his delight is in the law of the lord and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
2-21-2024. . . .KEEP PRESSING TOWARD PERFECTION!
Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy....(Jude 1:24) KJV
It is said by a Chinese proverb that "A journey of ten thousand miles begins with a single step." Although, along the way one may feel they will never reach the journey's end, continuing to press ever forward will will render those feeling invalid. So it is with perfection! Currently, its not to difficult to look at ourself with all our flaws and imperfections and determine we will never obtain the desired objective. Scripture however says, not so! If we continue to press towards that mark of the high calling of God we are assured of being presented by our Savior to the Father, "Faultless!" Now that's quite an incentive to keep pressing toward perfection!
PRAYER: Lord, thank you for the ability and strength to keep pressings towards what you have in store for us. We look forward with great expectation to being presented. Amen!
St. JOHN 17:23. . . .I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
2-20-2024. . . . BE READY TO RECEIVE!
A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous. (Psalms 37:16-17) KJV
In comparison to the wicked and unrighteous, we (the righteous) may not have many things, but we have every thing that we need. God Himself has promised to supply such from His riches in glory! When the arms of the wicked are broken (and they will be broken) to whom shall their riches fall? Remember, the wealth of the sinner is layed up for the just! Be ready to receive!
PRAYER: Lord, thank you for suppying all are need according to your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Amen!
PROVERBS 13: 7. . . .There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: There is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great wealth.
2-14-2024....GROW AND BLOOM!
"The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. (St. Matthew 13:24-30) Kjv
Everyone planted by us is not necessarily like us and may in fact, not even like us! Yet, we are charged to grow together until harvest (separation) time! The presence of "Tares" among the Wheat is no cause for alarm because their presence is not an impediment to our growth! Therefore, worry less about them and continue to grow and bloom where you are planted!
PRAYER: Lord, thank you for planting us where you need us! Help us to stay focused, grow and bloom where we are planted, Amen!
St. Matthew 13:30. . . .Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
2-13-2024. . . . BE WATCHFUL!
Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.” (1 Corinthians 15:33 NLT)
Everyone that knows and can recognize a low down dirty dog scoundrel would not willingly choose to keep company with them. On the other hand, persons that seem to be good but are un-godly, may also be bad company as well. We must watch and ensure that the company we keep are not the people we become! BE WATCHFUL!
PRAYER: Lord, give us a discerning spirit so that we choose wisely are associations and safeguard our character, Amen!
Amos 3:3. . . ." Can two walk together, except that be agreed?
James 1:19-21. . . . Know this, my beloved brethren. Let every man be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger, for the anger of man does not work the righteousness of God. Therefore put away all filthiness and rank growth of wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
Prov 10:5. . . .A wise youth makes hay while the sun shines, but what a shame to see a lad who sleeps away his hour of opportunity. TLB
