"So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. (Isa 55:11 NIV)

God's word once spoken, proceeds from eternity to it's predestined purpose in time!  Because the word is so quick and powerful (Heb 4:12) occasionally, it arrives in advance of time's readiness to receive it!  It, however, cannot return to God empty; It, therefore, prevails (hovers over) until time (and us) is ready to receive it's manifestation!  If He spoke it, stay encouraged!  IT WILL HAPPEN!

Prayer: Lord, we live not by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from your mouth.  May your proceeding and prevailing word always find manifestation in our life. Amen!

GOD OF COMFORT!

“... What a wonderful God we have-he is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the source of every mercy, and the one who so wonderfully comforts and strengthens us in our hardships and trials.” (2 Cor 1:3a TLB)  

Life is often no bed of roses and at times it can be downright uncomfortable! Yet, it is in those times of discomfort that God manifest Himself to us as ‘The God of all Comfort’.  No, He does not always immediately change our situations and circumstances, but more often than not, He changes us in the situations and circumstances!   While all hell may be breaking loose all around us, He gives us a since of well-being on the inside that enables us to emerge with confidence and experience to share with others in their time of affliction and trouble. “…And why does he do this? So that when others are troubled, needing our sympathy and encouragement, we can pass on to them this same help and comfort God has given us.” (2 Cor 1:3b) TLB

Prayer: Lord, thank you for being the God of all comfort! You keep me from being unstable in difficult and uncomfortable situations. It is well with my soul. Amen!

Isa 51:3. . . .For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody. KJV

DOUBLE BENEFIT

The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.  (Prov 11:17 KJV)  

There is a double benefit to doing good.  It blesses others and it blesses us as well.  The same is true of doing bad.  It hurts others and will hurt us as well.  Therefore, one should only send out what one would want to receive.

PRAYER: Lord, help us to be prudent in all our actions toward others.  Help us understand that what we do to others we do also to ourselves.  Amen!

Matt 7:12. . . .So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. NIV

FOLLOW HIS INSTRUCTIONS!

But the Lord said to Joshua, "Jericho and its king and all its mighty warriors are already defeated, for I have given them to you!  Your entire army is to walk around the city once a day for six days, followed by seven priests walking ahead of the Ark, each carrying a trumpet made from a ram's horn. On the seventh day you are to walk around the city seven times, with the priests blowing their trumpets.  Then, when they give one long, loud blast, all the people are to give a mighty shout, and the walls of the city will fall down; then move in upon the city from every direction." (Josh 6:2-5 TLB)  

We don't have to understand God's strategy, to understand He has predetermined our victory!  Although, the strategy might seem strange, the outcome will not! Follow His instructions completely to victory!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for predetermining our victories before every battle.  Help us not to question your strategies, but to simply follow them completely to victory.  Amen!

Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. (Gal 6:10 NIV) 

There is always opportunity to do good to all people, and especially to believers.  The problem is, we don't often cease the moment.   Sometimes unintentionally, but sadly, other times very much intentionally.  It's always right to do right!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for every opportunity you give us to treat others well.  By so doing we demonstrate to the world we belong to you. Amen!

Eph 5:8-9. . . . For though once your heart was full of darkness, now it is full of light from the Lord, and your behavior should show it!  Because of this light within you, you should do only what is good and right and true. TLB

THE LORD'S RELEASE!

There is a time when the Lord will release us to go after our enemy!  Let's be sure it's the Lord's release and not our own.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for letting our enemies know we will fight and win, but only when you give us release to do so!  Amen!

"The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace." (Ex 14:14 KJV)  

Resist the temptation to take matters into your own hands! Ask these two questions: How many battles have I fought and lost; and,  How many battles has He fought and won?  If God said He will fight for you, HE WILL FIGHT FOR YOU!  Go with a proven winner!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for being on our side!  Not one battle have you ever lost.  Help us to resist the temptation to take matters into our own hands.  Amen!

2 Chron 32:7-8. . . . "Be strong, be brave, and do not be afraid of the king of Assyria or his mighty army, for there is someone with us who is far greater than he is! 8 He has a great army, but they are all mere men, while we have the Lord our God to fight our battles for us!" HOW DO YOU SPELL RELIEF!

“Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.” ( NKJV Isa 55:7) 

Should we ever find ourselves in a place of separation from God because of sin, God’s way out for us is simple: REPENT! Turn from our sin and turn back to God. He promises to show us mercy and not just simply pardon, but ‘abundantly pardon’ us! The burden of condemnation is a heavy load to continue to carry! How do you spell relief?   R E P E N T!

Prayer: Thank you for your overwhelming love towards us. Even when we slip up and mess up, you yet offer us a way out through repentance. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Amen!

Jer 33:8-9. . . .And I will cleanse away all their sins against me and pardon them.  Then this city will be an honor to me, and it will give me joy and be a source of praise and glory to me before all the nations of the earth! The people of the world will see the good I do for my people and will tremble with awe! TLB

To 'Get Over' on someone is to knowingly take unfair advantage of them for selfish gain.  This practice has little or no regard for anything or anyone other than self.  Warning: you might get by, but you won't get away.  Whatsoever one sows is what one will reaps!  What goes around comes around.  BE FAIR!

Prayer: Lord, help us to be fair and honest in all our dealings with each other.  Amen!

GO TO WORK!

 To receive a handout when needed is a blessing; to look for a handout continuously is dependency.   GO TO WORK!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for supplying all our needs especially our jobs.  Help us to help others in their time of need but never aid nor facilitate their dependency.  Amen.

Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.  Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.  (KJV Josh 1:2-3)  

There are some places that are ordained for us!  We need only have faith and courage enough to move forward in spite of past failures; move ahead in spite of adversity;  stand strong in the mist of the struggle!    God is in control and has ordered our steps and our stops!  Go with God!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for the courage to move forward into the places you have ordained for us.  You are in control!  Amen. 

Ps 37:23-24. . . .The steps of good men are directed by the Lord. He delights in each step they take.  If they fall it isn't fatal, for the Lord holds them with his hand.  TLB

OPT FOR A BETTER FUTURE!

"Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:..."(Gen 12:1 KJV) 

Destiny sometimes requires us to make some tough choices.  Just know and remember, God's plan for our future is far bigger and better than the attachments and comforts of now!  Opt for a better future!

Prayer: Lord, your will is what is best for us.  Help us to always opt for a better future within your plan!  Amen!

ACCEPT HIS ASSIGNMENT!

We may not always like or even desire the assignments God gives to us.  We don't however, have the option of rejecting them!  God knows what He is doing and who He wants to use to accomplish His will!   He has not made a mistake.  ACCEPT HIS ASSIGNMENT!

Prayer: Lord, you are in control and you have everything under control.  Help us to trust you especially in those times where we really would rather do something other than what you've assigned us to do.  Amen!

Rom 8:28. . . .And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. KJV

WALK IN AUTHORITY!

God will never give us an assignment without equipping us for the assignment.  Not only will He provide the skill and resources needed, He will give us the authority to execute the charge to it's completion.   Without fear, WALK IN AUTHORITY!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for equipping us with everything that is needed to complete our assignments.  Without fear we now execute and walk in your authority.  Amen!

SIGNIFICANCE vs SUCCESS

HERE AM I; SEND ME!

9-1-2023. . . .HERE AM I; SEND ME!

"Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me." (Isa 6:8 KJV)  

God is yet in need of someone who is willing to step up to the plate, so to speak, and say, Lord, send me!  Send me against the moral decay of our society --send me against political correctness -- send me against the false, the fake, and the phony.  Send me to proclaim the good news of the gospel to the world!  Here am I; send me!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for the opportunity of life!  Use me Lord to be a living breathing change agent in the world.  Amen!
