DRAW AND DRINK!

1-31-2020. . . .DRAW AND DRINK!

"Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. (12:2-3 KJV)

There is nothing more comforting than the confidence we have in the Lord to save and deliver us from all our fears.  The spirit of fear, which is not from the Lord, will at times come upon us in an effort to threaten and paralyse us.  However, with power, love and a sound mind we draw and drink deeply from the wells of our great salvation!  Don't be afraid, daily DRAW AND DRINK!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for the confidence we have in you!  We need not ever be afraid to draw and drink from your well of salvation whereby our thirst is always quenched.  Amen!

Ps 56:9-12. . . . The very day I call for help, the tide of battle turns. My enemies flee! This one thing I know: God is for me!   I am trusting God-oh, praise his promises! I am not afraid of anything mere man can do to me! Yes, praise his promises.  I will surely do what I have promised, Lord, and thank you for your help. TLB

WHAT WE SOW GOD WILL GROW!

1-30-2020. . . .WHAT WE SOW GOD WILL GROW!

"As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease." (Gen 8:22 NIV)

A wise man will always take note of the constants in life and order his actions accordingly.  Knowing when to sow is equally as important as knowing where to sow.  Both will affect the harvest.  Follow the constants!  What we sow, God will grow!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for the constants in life.  Help us to observe the constants you have put in place and order our actions accordingly.  Amen!

2 Cor 9:6. . . .But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. KJV

CAN I - WILL I!

1-29-2020. . . .CAN I - WILL I!

"And I will put my Spirit within you so that you will obey my laws and do whatever I command." (Ezek 36:27 TLB)

God created us in His own image and after His own likeness. He intends for us to reflect that image and likeness not only in how we appear, but also in how we behave! He aids us in this effort by freely placing His Spirit within us so that we are able to do His will. So the question is never "Can I" do His will, its always, "Will I" do His will?"

Prayer: Lord, thank you for freely placing your Spirit within us and giving us the ability to do your will. Help us submit our will to your Spirit. Amen!

Rom 7:23 . . . . So you see how it is: my new life tells me to do right, but the old nature that is still inside me loves to sin. Oh, what a terrible predicament I'm in! Who will free me from my slavery to this deadly lower nature? Thank God! It has been done by Jesus Christ our Lord. He has set me free. TLB

WE ARE COVERED!

1-24-2020. . . .WE ARE COVERED!

"Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them." (Gen 3:21 KJV)

The Lord never leaves His children in need, especially when we are unable to meet that need ourselves.   Although, Adam and Eve's choices caused them to be in the place of need, following correction, the Lord in His loving kindness provided what they obviously could not provide for their self.  Such is still the case today!  Man without Christ is in the place of need and God has provided for that need through His son, Jesus the Christ.  In Him we are covered!

PRAYER: Lord, we thank you for your faithfulness and loving kindness.  Thank you for always covering us in times where we cannot provide for ourselves.  Thank you for this great salvation!  Amen.

John 3:16-17. . . . For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son so that anyone who believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.  TLB

ALWAYS OBEY GOD!

1-23-2020. . . .ALWAYS OBEY GOD!
"And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.  And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat." (Gen 3:12-13 KJV)

Our choices have consequences! No amount of finger pointing and playing the blame game will bring about exoneration.  Wise decision making on the front end will avert the certainty of consequential disciplinary action on the back end!   The lesson: Always obey God!

PRAYER: Lord, you are just and true in all your ways and your love for us is unfailing.  Remember always your unfailing love to us should you every have to discipline us.  Amen!

Prov 3:11-12. . . . My son, do not despise the LORD's discipline and do not resent his rebuke, because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.  NIV

PRAY FOR ME!

1-17-2020. . . .PRAY FOR ME!

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (James 5:16 KJV)

Never under estimate the power of prayer!  By it, we can have great effect on the lives of others and our own.  We don't have to fear owning our faults; everyone has them!!!!  Those that confess the contrary, are in denial and in need of much effectual and fervent prayer.  There is no deliverance in denial, but there is hope and help for the humble who are willing to be vulerable and honest enough to say, pray for me!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for giving us power to effect lives through prayer.  Help us to always be humble and honest enough with ourselves and others to ask for prayer when we need it.  Thank you for responding when we pray.  Amen!

Mark 11:24-25. . . . Listen to me! You can pray for anything, and if you believe, you have it; it's yours!  But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive you your sins too." TLB

STAYING POWER = PRAYING POWER!

1-16-2020. . . .STAYING POWER = PRAYING POWER!

One day Jesus told his disciples a story to illustrate their need for constant prayer and to show them that they must keep praying until the answer comes. (Luke 18:1 TLB)

Anything worth praying for, is worth praying for until the answer comes!  Continuing in constant prayer does not demonstrate a lack of faith, but steadfast faith in the God who has promised to not only hear, but answer.   Stay constant in prayer!  Staying power = Praying power!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for not only hearing our prayers, but answering us!  We stay constant in prayer because we believe and trust you.  Amen!

1 John 5:14-15. . . . And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. KJV

CLEAR THE CLUTTER!

1-15-2020. . . .CLEAR THE CLUTTER!

"But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers." (1 Peter 4:7 NKJV)

It has been said that, "Time is winding up and we are winding up with time."  It is true, no man knows the day nor the hour that the Son of man will return, but certainly, events going on around us indicates as the scripture says, the time is short.  It is therefore, imparative that we keep our minds clear in order to pray!  Clear the clutter and ensure a continually clear prayer connection.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for a clear and direct connection to you through prayer.  Help us keep the connection clear from the clutter of this world.  Amen!

2 Chron 7:15-16. . . . I will listen, wide awake, to every prayer made in this place.  For I have chosen this Temple and sanctified it to be my home forever; my eyes and my heart shall always be here.  TLB

THAT'S THE TRUTH!

1-14-2020. . . .THAT'S THE TRUTH!

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.  (St. John 1:14)

The WORD in us is producing Favor upon us!  As the WORD increases in us so will Favor increase on!  That's the TRUTH!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for your Word, Favor and Truth.  May they all continuously increase in us and upon us.  Amen!

Luke 2:40. . . .And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was on him.

GRACE AT WORK!

1-10-2020. . . .GRACE AT WORK!

"With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all". (Acts 4:33)

What happens through us and for us is a direct result of what is at work within us, GRACE!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for allowing us to be conduits through which your powerful Grace can work.  Amen!

Acts 11:23. . . .When he arrived and saw what the grace of God had done, he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts.

GRACE SPEAKS LOUDER!

1-9-2020. . . .GRACE SPEAKS LOUDER!

"Moreover the law entered, that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound," (Romans 5:20)

By the presence of the law we are made aware of our sin and thereby held accountable.  By and through the presence of GRACE we are made aware of God's choice to love and forgive us in spite of us!  The law speaks loud but GRACE speaks much Louder!!!!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for your amazing GRACE!  We were guilty and deserving to die, but you loved us, forgave us, saved us, and have now favored us!  Hallelujah and Amen!

Romans 5:8. . . .But God commendeth His love toward us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

WE BOAST IN HIM!

1-8-2020. . . .WE BOAST IN HIM!

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.  (Ephesians 2:8-9)

God showed and showered His Favor upon us when He saved us.  The only input we had was our faith to believe and take Him at His word.  His Favor remains upon us and is ever increasing in us!  Accomplishing this on our own would never happen.  Therefore if we boast, we boast in Him and about Him!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for your Favor upon us.  Thank you for doing for us what we could never do for ourselves.  We proudly boast in you and about you!  Amen!

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. Ephesians 2:4-5.
