9-28-2018. . . .OUR CHARGE!

"If you make the Most High your dwelling--even the LORD, who is my refuge--then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent.  For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.  "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.  He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.  With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."  (Ps 91:9-16 NIV) 

Although there is much evil in the world with evil men and women perpetrating evil deeds, we live without fear knowing that the Lord, the Most High is our refuge and protection.  He can, He shall and He will deliver us from all evil! Our charge is to overcome evil with good!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for being our God and our refuge.  Thank you for delivering us from all evil. Empower us daily to overcome evil with good.  Amen.

Rom 12:19-13:1. . . . Dear friends, never avenge yourselves. Leave that to God, for he has said that he will repay those who deserve it. [Don't take the law into your own hands. ] 20 Instead, feed your enemy if he is hungry. If he is thirsty give him something to drink and you will be "heaping coals of fire on his head." In other words, he will feel ashamed of himself for what he has done to you. 21 Don't let evil get the upper hand, but conquer evil by doing good. TLB

GOOD CONSEQUENCES!

9-27-2018. . . .GOOD CONSEQUENCES!

"I have chosen the way of truth; I have set my heart on your laws.  I hold fast to your statutes, O LORD; do not let me be put to shame."  Ps 119:30-31 (NIV)  

Our choices have consequences!  The nature of the consequence is contingent upon the nature of the choice.  Bad choices bring bad consequences; good choices bring good consequences.   What's your choice?  Choose the ways of truth and hold fast to them!  So shall we experience good consequences.

Prayer: Lord, lead us daily in the ways of truth and help us daily to make that choice our own.  Amen!

2 Chron 6:30-31. . . . Hear from heaven where you live and forgive, and give each one whatever he deserves, for you know the hearts of all mankind.  Then they will reverence you forever and will continually walk where you tell them to go. TLB

EMBRACE THE NEW!

9-26-2018. . . .EMBRACE THE NEW!

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."  (2 Cor 5:17 KJV)  

God doing a new thing in us facilitates new things happening for us!  Let the old pass and embrace the new!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for saving us and giving us new life through Jesus Christ!  Help us to let the old pass and to embrace the new with joy!  Amen.

SO ARE WE!

9-25-2018. . . .SO ARE WE!

First, I want to remind you that in the last days there will come scoffers who will do every wrong they can think of and laugh at the truth.  This will be their line of argument: "So Jesus promised to come back, did he? Then where is he?   He'll never come!   Why, as far back as anyone can remember, everything has remained exactly as it was since the first day of creation."  (2 Peter 3:3-4 

 Increasingly these days, we see and hear stories about people that refute the existence of God and the validity of His word!  They even laugh and scoff at believers; calling us gullible and weak minded.   While opinion may be irritating at times, they are entitled to think and feel how they think and feel!   SO ARE WE!   Therefore, we stand strong in our belief and hold fast to the truth!

Prayer:  Lord, thank you that we know the real truth.  Strengthen us in these last days to stand firm in our beliefs!  Amen.

2 Peter 3:3-7. . . .First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.  They will say, "Where is this 'coming' he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation."  But they deliberately forget that long ago by God's word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by water.  By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed.  By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. STAY IN HEALTH!

9-24-2018. . . .STAY IN HEALTH!

"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."  (3 John 2 KJV) 

 Good health is a healthy desire to have for others as well as, for our self!  We must however, work to achieve it and encourage others to do the same by eating right, getting proper rest and exercise!!!!  Get in health - Be in health - Stay in health!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for good health!  Help us to be in health and stay in health as we prosper both spiritually and physically.  Amen! 

Ps 42:11-43:1. . . .Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.  KJV

LIVE POLLUTION FREE!

9-20-2018. . . .LIVE POLLUTION FREE!

Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life. (Prov 4:23 NKJV) 

Out of a pure heart will flow a pure life.  Be careful then, not to allow anything or anyone to pollute your spring!  

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for giving us a new heart from which flows our new and pure life.  Strengthen us daily to be diligent in guarding our hearts and keeping them from all pollutants and polluters.  Amen!

1 Tim 1:5. . . .  What I am eager for is that all the Christians there will be filled with love that comes from pure hearts, and that their minds will be clean and their faith strong. TLB

WHAT DOES THE WORLD SEE!

9-18-2018. . . .WHAT DOES THE WORLD SEE!

"Obey God because you are his children; don't slip back into your old ways-doing evil because you knew no better.  But be holy now in everything you do, just as the Lord is holy, who invited you to be his child.  He himself has said, "You must be holy, for I am holy." (1 Peter 1:14-16 TLB) 

 Obedience is a choice!  As God's children, we are without excuse when we choose to follow our old nature and do things that dishonor who God is!  Remember, we were made in His image and after His own likeness; therefore, we are God's visible image in the world.  When the world sees us, what is their impression and opinion of God?  Does what they see draw them to Him or drive them from Him?

Prayer: Lord, thank you for creating us in your own image and likeness.  Help us daily to represent you to the world in a way that draws them to you and not drives them from you!  Amen.

Col 3:10-11. . . . You are living a brand new kind of life that is continually learning more and more of what is right, and trying constantly to be more and more like Christ who created this new life within you. 11 In this new life one's nationality or race or education or social position is unimportant; such things mean nothing. Whether a person has Christ is what matters, and he is equally available to all. TLB
