7-27-2017. . . .FAITH BEYOND FACTS!

"By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. (Heb 11:3 NKJV) 

Archaeology, Anthropology, Paleontology and other discovery sciences (as wonderful as they are) glean their knowledge from the study of things that exist or once existed. Great knowledge and facts have been obtained this way! However, to understand the true origin of all things requires faith beyond facts!  

PRAYER: Lord, by faith we know and understand all things.  No science could ever inform us as well as your word can.  Thank you for your word.  Amen.  

Ps 33:6-8. . . .By the word of the LORD were the heavens made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth.   He gathers the waters of the sea into jars; he puts the deep into storehouses.  Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the people of the world revere him. NIV

MINDFUL NOT MINDLESS!

7-25-2017. . . .MINDFUL NOT MINDLESS!

"Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. ( Gal 5:1 KJV)  

Being made free by Christ is a privilege and blessing.  Staying free is a choice! Who once freed, would willingly submit their self to bondage of any kind?  Only the mindless.  Be mindful not mindless!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for freedom!  Help us Lord to always be mindful of our freedom and choose to stand firm in it!  Amen.

 Rom 6:16-17. . . . Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey-whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?  NIV

OPT FOR GOD'S WILL!

7-20-2017 . . . .OPT FOR GOD'S WILL!

"For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life are not of the Father but are of the world.  And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever."  (1 John 2:16-17 KJV)  

The things we see and want in this world all have a short shelf life and will soon pass away.   If we go after things that are not in God's will for us, our shelf life will become short as well.   Opt for longevity!  Do God's will and live forever.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for options and the free will to choose.  Forgive us for our past bad choices and help us opt for your will over the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of this life.  Amen.

1 John 2:15-17. . . . Stop loving this evil world and all that it offers you, for when you love these things you show that you do not really love God;  for all these worldly things, these evil desires-the craze for sex, the ambition to buy everything that appeals to you, and the pride that comes from wealth and importance-these are not from God. They are from this evil world itself.  And this world is fading away, and these evil, forbidden things will go with it, but whoever keeps doing the will of God will live forever.  TLB

TRAINED BY THE BEST!

"Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:  My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me. (Ps 144:1-2 KJV)

Fighting without training is futile!  A good fighter is a well-trained fighter!   We're being trained by the best! 

Prayer: Lord, thank you for training us to be good fighters.  Direct us in every fight so that we always emerge victoriously!  Amen!

Ps 144:1-2. . . .Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.   He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me.  NIV

LET'S BELIEVE IT!

But now the Lord who created you, O Israel, says, "Don't be afraid, for I have ransomed you; I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up-the flames will not consume you.  For I am the Lord your God, your Savior, the Holy One of Israel. (Isa 43:1-3TLB)  

We are redeemed - we are called by name! He is with us - We will survive - We will come through!  God said it, that settles it!  Now, let's believe it!

PRAYER: Lord, whatever you say, is what we believe and live by.  Thank you for your words to us!  Amen!

Jer 29:11-13. . . . For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.  In those days when you pray, I will listen. You will find me when you seek me, if you look for me in earnest. TLB

WHAT YOU GIVE IS WHAT YOU

7-13-2017. . . .WHAT YOU GIVE IS WHAT YOU GET!

The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.  (Prov 11:17 KJV)  

There is a double benefit to doing good.  It blesses others and it blesses us as well.  The same is true of doing bad.  It hurts others and will hurt us as well.  Therefore, one should only send out what one would want to receive!

PRAYER: Lord, help us to be prudent in all our actions toward others.  Help us understand that what we do to others we do also to ourselves.  Amen!

Matt 7:12. . . .So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. NIV

GOD'S TATS!

7-12-2017. . . .GOD'S TATS!

"Can a mother forget the infant at her breast, walk away from the baby she bore?  But even if mothers forget, I'd never forget you — never.  Look, I've written your names on the backs of my hands.  The walls you're rebuilding are never out of my sight."  (Isa 49:15-16 MSG)

Pressing problems and disturbing dilemmas may at times cause one to question whether or not, God still sees and cares; or has He completely forgotten about us.  In those moments don't loose hope!  God asks, "Can a mother forget the baby to whom she's given birth?"  God answers and reminds us now that, even if they do forget, "I WILL NEVER FORGET!"  In fact, our names are tattooed on the back of His hands.  He sees, cares, and knows all about us at all times and won't forget us ever.

PRAYER: Lord thank you for being a faithful God.  You never forget us and will always supply all our need according to your riches in glory by Christ Jesus.  Amen!

 Ps 121. . . Shall I look to the mountain gods for help? 2 No! My help is from Jehovah who made the mountains! And the heavens too!   He will never let me stumble, slip, or fall. For he is always watching, never sleeping.  Jehovah himself is caring for you! He is your defender.   He protects you day and night.  He keeps you from all evil and preserves your life.  He keeps his eye on you as you come and go and always guards you. TLB

WATCH WHAT YOU SAY!

7-11-2017. . . .WATCH WHAT YOU SAY! 

"Anyone who says he is a Christian but doesn't control his sharp tongue is just fooling himself, and his religion isn't worth much."  (James 1:26-27 TLB)  

Words have power and the potential to leave a lasting impact.  Therefore, it is vitally important that people in general pay attention to what they say and how they say what they say!  For Christians, even more so!  We of all people should be the standard bearers for good and controlled speech.  So, WATCH WHAT YOU SAY, because others most certainly are!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for the ability to communicate with words.  Help us to realize that our words have power and to never abuse the uses of them.  Amen!

James 1:26-27. . . .If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless. NIV

DON'T BLOCK ANY ENTRANCES!

7-5-2017. . . .DON'T BLOCK ANY ENTRANCES!

"Lift up your head, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.  Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. (Ps 24:7-8 KJV) 

If there is a battle to be fought, be sure all doors are open for the Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle to come in.  If you want victory, don't block any entrances!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for victory in every battle.  Gladly we step aside and welcome you in to do what only you can do!  Thank you for victory in our battles!  Amen!

1 Cor 15:57-58. . . .But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.  Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.   KJV
