GOD'S GOT ME!

6-30-2011. . . .GOD'S GOT ME!

"Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed. I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with my victorious right hand."  (Isa 41:10 TLB)  No matter how serious the challenge or how mighty the enemy, we need not fear because God, by His on volition, has chosen to help us!  He promises strength, help, and most importantly, victory!

Prayer: Lord, you are my strength, my help Victory!  Thank you for choosing to be on my side!  Amen.

 Ps 27:1-3. . . .The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?  When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.  Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.  KJV

THE AMAZING!

"Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know." (Jer 33:3 NKJV)  God is always available to us when we call Him, and the conversation is always fruitful.   He amazes us with the amazing!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for always being available to us when we call.  Continue amazing us with great and mighty things we do not know.  Amen.

Isa 65:23-25. . . . I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking to me about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers! TLB

THE ESCAPE ROUTE!

6-28-2011. . . THE ESCAPE ROUTE!

"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." (1 Cor 10:13 KJV)  Desire minus opportunity is merely fantasy.  Desire coupled with opportunity is real temptation and the time to quickly look for the way of escape that God provides.  Take the escape route or be caught in temptation's clutches.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for giving us escape routes in our times of temptation!  Help us to always escape.  Amen!

"See, I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland." (Isa 43:19 NIV)   God never runs out of ways of making a way!  Therefore, we should never run out of E X P E C T A T I O N!

Prayer: Lord, you are a way maker!  Thank you for continuously making ways for us!  Amen.

AN OPEN BOOK!

6-24-2011. . . .AN OPEN BOOK!

"Search me, O God, and know my heart; test my thoughts.  Point out anything you find in me that makes you sad, and lead me along the path of everlasting life." (Ps 139:23-24 TLB)  Submitting our lives willing to the scrutiny of God is saying to Him, Lord I really want to do my best and be my best self in order to please you.  Therefore, my life is an open book!

Prayer: Lord, Look on my life and may you always find it pleasing.  Amen!

Ps 139:16-18. . . .Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.  How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!  If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.  KJV

LEAD US ON!

"Where can I go from your Spirit?  Where can I flee from your presence?  If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.  If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.  If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me," even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.  (Ps 139:7-12 NIV)  There is no place beyond God's reach!  No matter how high or how low; whether concealed or revealed, there God's hand is guiding us.  Somebody needs to know today, there is a way out; a way up; a way through; a way back; a way around; a way!  Take our hand precious Lord, lead us on!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for your guiding hand.  Amen!

BOUNDARIES!

6-22-2011. . . . .BOUNDARIES!

"You hem me in--behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me." (Ps 139:5 NIV) As believers, there is only so far we can deviate off the path of righteousness before we run into our set boundaries.   Once we hit them, it is best to get back on track as quickly as possible.  Should we continue to run up against the boundaries, we will soon feel God's hand heavy upon us!  Whom the Lord loves, He corrects!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for the boundaries you have set for us.  Thank you for going before us and following us lest we stray to far from your desired path.  Amen!

Prov 3:11. . . .Young man, do not resent it when God chastens and corrects you, for his punishment is proof of his love. Just as a father punishes a son he delights in to make him better, so the Lord corrects you. TLB

MONITOR AND REGULATE!

"Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.  For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether. (Ps 139:3-4 KJV)  It is of little or no surprise that God is cognizant of every word we speak, even before we speak it.  He understands that our words have the power of life and death.  The sooner we understand it, the more apt will be to monitor and regulate what we say.

Prayer: Lord, help us to be aware of the words we speak.  May they be found not only pleasing to your ears, but life to all hearers.  Amen! 

Prov 18:21. . . . Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. KJV

NO NEED TO HIDE!

"O LORD, you have searched me [thoroughly] and have known me. You know my downsitting and my uprising; You understand my thought afar off.  You sift and search out my path and my lying down, and You are acquainted with all my ways.  (Psalms 139:1-3 AMP)  There is no need to try and hide what is really going on inside!  The Creator thoroughly knows His creation.  Top to bottom, inside and out; He knows everything and yet loves us.          

Prayer: Lord, thank you for your unfailing love, amazing grace, and tender mercies that are new every morning.  Great is thy faithfulness.  Amen!

Ps 139:1-2. . . .O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me.  You know when I sit or stand. When far away you know my every thought. TLB

BE BOLD -BE STRONG!

"And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:  To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,  According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:  In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him."  (Eph 3:9-12  KJV)  Be bold - be strong knowing that the purpose of God is being declared in the heavens and throughout the earth through us according to God's eternal purpose.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for your eternal purpose and for the boldness and strength to walk in it.  Amen!

Phil 1:6. . . . Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: KJV

HIS GREATER PURPOSE PREVAILS!

6-16-2011. . . .HIS GREATER PURPOSE PREVAILS!

"For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth." (Rom 9:17 KJV)  Walking in purpose and on purpose does not mean we will not face challenges!  In fact, some challenges are for the express purpose of putting God's mighty power on display, so that His greater purpose in us will prevail.

Prayer: Lord, let your mighty power be displayed through our challenges as you complete your purpose in us!  Amen!

Eph 1:10-12. . . . Moreover, because of what Christ has done, we have become gifts to God that he delights in, for as part of God's sovereign plan we were chosen from the beginning to be his, and all things happen just as he decided long ago.  God's purpose in this was that we should praise God and give glory to him for doing these mighty things for us, who were the first to trust in Christ. TLB

TIME RELEASED PURPOSE!

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: (Eccl 3:1 KJV)  Patience is the key to time released purpose!  The best fruit is that which is harvested at the right time and in it's season.  Although it may look ready and ripe on the vine, being harvested before it's time aborts full maturity.  

Prayer: Lord, our times are in your hands.  Help us to be patient while the purpose you've placed within us come to full maturity.  Amen!

Ps 138:8. . . . The LORD will fulfill [his purpose] for me; your love, O LORD, endures forever--do not abandon the works of your hands.  NIV

"For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure." (Phil 2:13 KJV)  Accomplishing God's purpose is made possible by God Himself working within us and giving us enabling power that energizes our will to do, be and become!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for working within us to accomplish your divine will and purpose.  Amen!

Eph 1:7-10. . . . In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence,  having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth -- in Him.  NKJV

WALK THEREIN!

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." (Rom 8:28 KJV)  Purpose is God's intention and His expectation!  Will God be disappointed? Absolutely not and neither will we as long as we walk therein.

Prayer: Lord, Your purpose is your intention.  Thank you that your intentions for us are always good.  Amen.

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. (Jer 29:11 KJV)

BE STILL!

"Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.  The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge." Selah. (Ps 46:10-11 KJV)  God is with us! God is for us! God will always be large and in charge!  Be still and know this!

Prayer: Oh Lord, our Lord how excellent is your name in all the earth!  May our lives always acknowledge and exalt you as the Mighty God!  Amen!

Ps 95:1-3. . . .O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.   Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.  For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.  KJV

PERSONAL INTERACTION!

"And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?   And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?  And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.  But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.   And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague."  (Mark 5:30-34 KJV)  Our personal interaction with the Lord, motivated by our faith, produces within us personal results that are often not perceived or understood by others.  Not to worry though.  The inward manifestation will soon produce an outward demonstration! 

Prayer: Lord, thank you for our personal relationship with you.  Whether others understand it or not, thank you that we know its real!  Amen.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!

"Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. (Matt 22:29 KJV)  For believers and non-believers alike, error is inevitable when we fail to know God's word.  To know God's word is to know and access His power!  

Prayer: Lord, your word is a light to our path and a lamp to our feet.  Illuminate our minds and infuse us with your divine power.  Amen!

Ps 119:33-35. . . . Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.  Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.  Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight. KJV

EVIDENCE!

6-7-2011. . . .EVIDENCE!

"To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good. (Titus 1:15-16 NIV)  In a court of law, evidence is required in order to convict someone of an offense.  Likewise, evidence is required to convince the world we really know God!

Prayer: Lord, may the life we live and the good works we do be clear evidence to the world that you are God and we are your children.  Amen!

Luke 6:43-45. . . ."No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. 44 Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. 45 The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. "And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits." (Dan 11:32 KJV)  Try as he may, don't let the enemy talk you out of your greatness.  Remember who you know!!!!  We were born to do great things!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for allowing us to be in relationship with you.  Through you, in you and because of you we shall do great things!  Amen.

TRAINED BY THE BEST!

"Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:  My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me." (Ps 144:1-2 KJV)  There is no better soldier than a well trained soldier!  One taught by the best becomes the best.  In our warfare, we are the best because we are being trained by the best!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for training our hands for war and our fingers to fight.  How defeated we would be without you.  Thank you for victory.  Amen!

Heb 11:32-34. . . . Well, how much more do I need to say? It would take too long to recount the stories of the faith of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah and David and Samuel and all the other prophets.  These people all trusted God and as a result won battles, overthrew kingdoms, ruled their people well, and received what God had promised them; they were kept from harm in a den of lions 34 and in a fiery furnace. Some, through their faith, escaped death by the sword. Some were made strong again after they had been weak or sick. Others were given great power in battle; they made whole armies turn and run away.  TLB

WHO DOES THAT?

"Go ahead and prepare for the conflict, but victory comes from God."  (Prov 21:31 TLB)  Success occurs when preparation and opportunity meet!  Although victory is assured before the battle, no soldier would even consider going into the battle unprepared.  That would be like forfeiting a sure victory and opting for defeat.  Who does that?

Prayer: Lord, thank you for giving us victory in every battle.  Thank you also for the wisdom to be prepared for every battle.  Amen!

WHO HE IS AND WHO'S HE IS!

6-1-2011. . . .WHO HE IS AND WHO'S HE IS!

"Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ." (2 Tim 2:3 KJV) The life of a soldier is not always easy.  In fact, sometimes it is down right hard.  The good soldier however, never gives up, never gives in, and never surrenders.  The good soldier endures because of who he is and who's he is.

Prayer: Lord, we are committed to you even as you have proven to be committed to us!  Strengthen us in times of hardness that we may endure as good soldiers.  Amen!

2 Tim 2:3-5. . . . Take your share of suffering as a good soldier of Jesus Christ, just as I do; and as Christ's soldier, do not let yourself become tied up in worldly affairs, for then you cannot satisfy the one who has enlisted you in his army.  TLB
