STEP UP STEP OUT!

7-31-2015. . . .STEP UP STEP OUT!

David said to the Philistine, "You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the LORD will hand you over to me, and I'll strike you down and cut off your head. Today I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel.  All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves; for the battle is the LORD's, and he will give all of you into our hands." (1 Sam 17:45-47) With the Lord on our side, it matters little how formidable our enemy may be.  With confidence just step up and step out for the bigger they are, the harder they'll fall!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for being on our side!  We need not fear any enemy no matter how threatening they may be.  With you we always have victory!  Thank you.  Amen!

Rom 8:31. . . .What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
KJV

WHAT YOU GIVE IS WHAT YOU GET!

7-29-2015. . . .WHAT YOU GIVE IS WHAT YOU GET!

The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.  (Prov 11:17 KJV)  There is a double benefit to doing good.  It blesses others and it blesses us as well.  The same is true of doing bad.  It hurts others and will hurt us as well.  Therefore, one should only send out what one would want to receive!

PRAYER:
Lord, help us to be prudent in all our actions toward others.  Help us understand that what we do to others we do also to ourselves.  Amen!

Matt 7:12. . . .So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. NIV

LET'S BELIEVE IT!

7-28-2015. . . .LET'S BELIEVE IT!

But now the Lord who created you, O Israel, says, "Don't be afraid, for I have ransomed you; I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up-the flames will not consume you.  For I am the Lord your God, your Savior, the Holy One of Israel. (Isa 43:1-3TLB)  We are redeemed - we are called by name! He is with us - We will survive - We will come through!  God said it, that settles it!  Now, lets believe it!

PRAYER: Lord, whatever you say, is what we believe and live by.  Thank you for your words to us!  Amen!

Jer 29:11-13. . . . For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a futu re and a hope. 12 In those days when you pray, I will listen. 13 You will find me when you seek me, if you look for me in earnest. TLB

THE LORD'S RELEASE!

7-28-2015. . . .THE LORD'S RELEASE!

And David inquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all. (1 Sam 30:8 KJV)  There is a time when the Lord will release us to go after our enemy!  Let's be certain that it is the Lord's release and not our own.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for letting our enemies know we will fight and win, but only when you give us release to do so!  Amen!

Ps 144:1-2. . . .Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.  He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me. NIV

TRAINED BY THE BEST!

7-17-2015. . . .TRAINED BY THE BEST!

"Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:  My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me. (Ps 144:1-2 KJV) Fighting without training is futile!  A good fighter, is a well trained fighter!   We're being trained by the best!

Prayer: Lord, thank you for training us to be good fighters.  Direct us in every fight so that we always emerge victorious!  Amen!

Ps 144:1-2. . . .Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.   He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me.  NIV

INCREASE THE GOOD!

7-16-2015. . . .INCREASE THE GOOD!

"For we must all stand before Christ to be judged and have our lives laid bare-before him. Each of us will receive whatever he deserves for the good or bad things he has done in his earthly body." (2 Cor 5:10 TLB) The day of accounting is surely going to come when every believer will stand before the Lord Jesus and receive our reward for the things done while here on the earth.  A lot is said about our golden crowns and white robes and such, but please know, we will also receive what we have earned for the bad we have done as well.  Our salvation will not be at stake, but think of the reward we will loose as a result of our bad deeds.   How much are we willing to loose?  Eliminate the bad and increase the good; so also our reward shall be!

PRAYER: Lord you are just and true in all your ways.  There is no unrighteousness with you.  We pray that before your return we eliminate all the bad from our lives so that you will only have to reward us for our good!  Amen!

Ps 37:27-30. . . .So if you want an eternal home, leave your evil, low-down ways and live good lives. For the Lord loves justice and fairness; he will never abandon his people. They will be kept safe forever; but all who love wickedness shall perish. The godly shall be firmly planted in the land and live there forever. The godly man is a good counselor because he is just and fair and knows right from wrong.  TLB

SAVED TO SERVE!

7-15-2015. . . .SAVED TO SERVE!

"For the free gift of eternal salvation is now being offered to everyone; and along with this gift comes the realization that God wants us to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures and to live good, God-fearing lives day after day,  looking forward to that wonderful time we've been expecting, when his glory shall be seen-the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.  He died under God's judgment against our sins so that he could rescue us from constant falling into sin and make us his very own people, with cleansed hearts and real enthusiasm for doing kind things for others." (Titus 2:11-15 TLB)  We have been saved in order that we may serve and be examples to this dying world that "life now can be sweet and our joy full and complete!"  Jesus gave so much for us and has given so much to us.  It's our turn now to serve and give to others.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for saving us.  Help us to daily live our lives as examples of your great and tremendous love for mankind.  May all come to know this love!  Amen.

1 John 3:1-3. . . .Yes, dear friends, we are already God's children, right now, and we can't even imagine what it is going to be like later on. But we do know this, that when he comes we will be like him, as a result of seeing him as he really is.  And everyone who really believes this will try to stay pure because Christ is pure. TLB

WHAT BETTER PLACE TO BE!

7-14-2015. . . .WHAT BETTER PLACE TO BE!

"We live within the shadow of the Almighty, sheltered by the God who is above all gods.  This I declare, that he alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I am trusting him." (Ps 91:1-3TLB)  To live in one's shadow requires being constantly in close proximity.  It is easy to trust Him when one is always with Him!  What better place to be than as close as possible to God!

PRAYER: Lord, how lovely is your dwelling place; there is no place else I'd rather be!  Daily as we walk, let us walk close to thee!  Amen!

Ps 16:11. . . .Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.  KJV

THE ANOINTING!

7-9-2015. . . .THE ANOINTING!

"And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing." (Isa 10:27 KJV) The power of the anointing effects not only what is outside of us, but also what is inside of us!  It enables and enlarges us to a point where we break out of whatever binds us.   The thing that was binding us is then rendered useless and powerless to ever bind us again!

PRAYER:  Lord, enable and enlarge us to break free and stay free from all things that bind us.  Fatten us daily until we are to large for any yoke but yours!  Amen.

Matt 11:29-30. . . .Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.   For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.  KJV

THE FIGHT IS FIXED!

7-8-2015. . . . .THE FIGHT IS FIXED!

"And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly."  (Rom 16:20 NKJV)   Anyone that has ever watched a professional boxing match would noticed that as the rounds are about to end, the pace of the fighters quicken.  When the final round of the fight comes, the battle seems to intensify all the more because both fighters know this is there last opportunity to get their punches in!  Our battle with Satan has intensified only because he knows his time is short.  Soon, he will be crushed under our feet and our arms will be raised in victory!  Hang in there and keep fighting!  The fight is fixed! :-)

Prayer: Thank you Lord for victory through Jesus Christ.  Strengthen us to withstand the battles in order that we may win the war.  Amen.

1 Cor 15:58. . . .So, my dear brothers, since future victory is sure, be strong and steady, always abounding in the Lord's work, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever wasted as it would be if there were no resurrection.  TLB

WAIT ON GOD!

7-7-2015. . . .WAIT ON GOD!

"And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, To morrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land." (Ex 9:5 KJV)  God sets His own times and keeps His own schedule!  If He declares a thing, surely He will bring it to pass!   Get in sync with God and wait on Him!  Remember, He scheduled our moments before there was none of them!  He's in control and He has everything under control!

Prayer: Lord, how awesome you are in all your marvelous splendor!  It blows my mind How you are always way ahead of the game.  Before I was formed you scheduled every day of my life!  Why then are we impatient?  Help us Lord, to wait on You!  Amen.

Ps 139:15-16. . . . You were there while I was being formed in utter seclusion!  You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Every day was recorded in your book!  TLB

WALK WITH HIM AND WAIT ON HIM!

7-2-2015. . . .WALK WITH HIM AND WAIT ON HIM!

"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."  (Isa 40:31 KJV)  Patience is not only a virtue, but it should also be our way a life!  Walking confidently with the Lord enables us to wait patiently upon the Lord!

PRAYERLord, we walk with you and wait patiently upon you!  Help us to never faint!  Amen.

Ps 40:1. . . .I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. KJV

THE COMPLETE PACKAGE!

7-1-2015. . . .THE COMPLETE PACKAGE!

"And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;  And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.  For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 1:5-8 KJV)  The Christian life is a life of change; ever evolving toward perfection!  God remains committed to doing His part and we must give all diligence to doing our part in becoming the complete package!

PRAYER:  Lord, we give you our lives!  Perfect us daily so that we become the complete package in you!  Amen.

Heb 13:20. . . . And now may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he who became the great Shepherd of the sheep by an everlasting agreement between God and you, signed with his blood, produce in you through the power of Christ all that is pleasing to him. To him be glory forever and ever. Amen.  TLB
