A LOSING AFFAIR!

10/31/2013. . . .A LOSING AFFAIR!

"And let us not get tired of doing what is right, for after a while we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't get discouraged and give up."  (Gal 6:9-10 TLB)  One of the easiest things in the world to do is give up, especially when one losses hope and becomes discouraged!  The thing about giving up is, we lose the time and effort it took to get us to that place of decision, as well as, the reward and satisfaction of seeing a thing through to the end!  Keep on doing what is right and don't let your efforts become a losing affair!

PRAYER: Lord, strengthen us in our struggles as we strive to do what is right and complete our life assignments.  Amen!

Heb 10:35-37. . . . Do not let this happy trust in the Lord die away, no matter what happens. Remember your reward!   You need to keep on patiently doing God's will if you want him to do for you all that he has promised. TLB

MAKE EVERY DAY COUNT!

10-30-2013. . . .MAKE EVERY DAY COUNT!

"Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain."  (1 Cor 15:58 NIV)  Serving the Lord with not only pay off by and by, but it pays dividends day by day!  Make every day count!

PRAYER: Lord, may the work that we have done and are doing for you daily make a differnce and have lasting kingdom impact!  Amen!

John 9:4. . . .I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.  KJV

RIGHT IS RIGHT!

10-29-2013. . . .RIGHT IS RIGHT!

"And as for you, brothers, never tire of doing what is right."  (2 Thess 3:13 NIV)  It is always right to do what is right; especially when no one is looking!  Never tire of being right, doing right and living right!  Right is right and will always be right!

PRAYER: Lord, lead us daily into to the paths of what is right.  Help us to do right, be right, and always live right.  Amen!

Prov 4:10-13. . . . My son, listen to me and do as I say, and you will have a long, good life.  I would have you learn this great fact: that a life of doing right is the wisest life there is.  If you live that kind of life, you'll not limp or stumble as you run.  Carry out my instructions; don't forget them, for they will lead you to real living.  TLB

LIFE'S POTENTIAL!

10-25-2013. . . .LIFE'S POTENTIAL!

"Moses was 120 years old when he died, yet his eyesight was perfect and he was as strong as a young man." (Deut 34:7-8 TLB)  With God, all things are possible even life-long health, strength and prosperity.  Don't allow bad life choices to diminish life's potential!   When we take care of God's business, God takes care of us!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for giving us life-long health, strength and prosperity in order that we may carry out and complete your divine purpose in us!  Amen!

Mark 10:27. . . .And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. KJV

HEARTS AND MINDS ON TRIAL

10-23-2013. . . .HEARTS AND MINDS ON TRIAL!

Test me, O LORD, and try me, examine my heart and my mind; for your love is ever before me, and I walk continually in your truth. (Ps 26:2-3 NIV) Our hearts and minds should always be kept in such a state that if put on trial, they will be found innocent of any and all wrong doing.  Conversely, they should be found guilty of being filled with love, truth and righteousness.

PRAYER: Lord, let your precious shed blood cleanse our hearts and minds continually so that we may be found forever innocent upon examination.  Amen!

Ps 51:7-11. . . . Sprinkle me with the cleansing blood and I shall be clean again. Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.   And after you have punished me, give me back my joy again.  Don't keep looking at my sins-erase them from your sight.  Create in me a new, clean heart, O God, filled with clean thoughts and right desires.  TLB

NO SECRUITY BREACHES!

10-22-2013. . . .NO SECURITY BREACHES!

Dear children, keep away from anything that might take God's place in your hearts. Amen. (1John 5:21 TLB) In our hearts, God's place should be a protected place and it is up to us to do it!  Let there be no security breaches!  Allow nothing or no one to displace Him!

PRAYER: Lord, you have a permanent place in our heart!  We will not allow anything or anyone to displace you!  Amen.

Prov 4:23. . . . Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. NIV

PERSPECTIVE ADJUSTMENT!

10-18-2013. . . .PERSPECTIVE ADJUSTMENT!

"Don't refuse to accept criticism; get all the help you can."  (Prov 23:12 TLB)  No one is always right especially when it comes to our perspective of our self!  How we see our self and how others view us could be totally different.   Consider constructive criticism from others as a 'perspective adjustment'  designed to help us be and become our best self!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for placing people in my life that will tell me the truth about me.  Help me to receive that truth and make the necessary adjustments in order that I may be and become my best self!

Prov 26:12. . . .There is one thing worse than a fool, and that is a man who is conceited. TLB

LONG TERM BENEFITS!

10-17-2013. . . .LONG TERM BENEFITS!

"Never envy the wicked!  Soon they fade away like grass and disappear. Trust in the Lord instead. Be kind and good to others; then you will live safely here in the land and prosper, feeding in safety.  Be delighted with the Lord. Then he will give you all your heart's desires.  Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him to help you do it, and he will. (Ps 37:1-5 TLB)  The wicked never have the upper hand although at times, it may seem like they do.  Trusting in the Lord is a far better option and has long term benefits!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for the secruity and long terms benefits that come from placing our complete trust in you!  Amen!

Ps 52:8. . . .But I am like a sheltered olive tree protected by the Lord himself. I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever. TLB

RECEIVE AND THEN GIVE!

10-16-2013. . . .RECEIVE AND THEN GIVE!

"Listen to this wise advice; follow it closely, for it will do you good, and you can pass it on to others: Trust in the Lord."  (Prov 22:17TLB) In these days of instability and uncertainty, the best advise one can receive and then give is, "TRUST IN THE LORD!"  Receive it and then give it today!

PRAYER: Lord, in the the words of the old spiritual song, 'I will trust in the Lord, I will trust in the Lord, I will trust in the Lord until I die!"   Even then, I will yet trust!  Amen!

Isa 26:3-5. . . . Trust in the Lord God always, for in the Lord Jehovah is your everlasting strength. TLB

HE NEVER HAS AND HE NEVER WILL!

10-15-2013. . . .HE NEVER HAS AND HE NEVER WILL!

"All those who know your mercy, Lord, will count on you for help. For you have never yet forsaken those who trust in you."  (Ps 9:9-10 TLB) Clearly, our elected officials that were put in office to act on behalf of and for the good of the people, have demonstrated that they cannot be trusted!  Their loyalty is to their political party and not their constituencies.  Dependence upon them is futile; dependance upon God however, is vital!  Those that trust Him are assured of His help!  He has never failed us and He never will!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for being our help in days past and our hope in days to come!  You never fail and our trust is forever in you!   Amen!

Ps 46:1-3. . . . God is our refuge and strength, a tested help in times of trouble.  And so we need not fear even if the world blows up and the mountains crumble into the sea.  TLB

BELIEVE IT!

10-11-2013 . . . .BELIEVE IT!

"O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.  O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit." (Ps 30:2-3 KJV)  Once we have asked God to heal us, we can have full confidence in our doctors, nurses and other caregivers through which He facilitates the healing process!  No matter how long it takes, it shall be done!  Believe it!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for hearing and answering our prayer for healing.  Thank you for wonderful doctors, nurses and caregivers through which you facilitate the healing process.  Amen!

Matt 7:7-8. . . . Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:  For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.  KJV

SUCCESS PLANNED!

10-10-2013. . . .SUCCESS PLANNED!
"Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety." (Prov 11:14KJV) Good advise and wise counsel are essential prerequisites for any successful endeavor.  Why travel an unsuccessful road others have already explored?   Failure avoided is success planned!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for providing us with good people who instruct us in the ways of success!  Help us to be humble enough to ask and receive from them!  Amen.

Josh 1:6-7. . . .

Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. NIV

PERPETUAL LIGHTS!

10-9-2013. . . .PERPETUAL LIGHTS!

"And those who are wise-the people of God-shall shine as brightly as the sun's brilliance, and those who turn many to righteousness will glitter like stars forever." (Dan 12:3 TLB)  He that wins souls is wise!  A bright shinning light in the world they are now, and an everlasting light in the kingdom to come!  A perpetual light never goes dim.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for making us lights that shine brightly in today's world leading men and women out of darkness.  Thank you also for the privilege of being perpetual lights in your kingdom to come!  Amen.

Prov 4:18-22. . . .
But the good man walks along in the ever-brightening light of God's favor; the dawn gives way to morning splendor, 19 while the evil man gropes and stumbles in the dark.
Listen, son of mine, to what I say. Listen carefully.  Keep these thoughts ever in mind; let them penetrate deep within your heart,  for they will mean real life for you and radiant health.

WHO WOULDN'T TRUST HIM FOR THAT?

10-8-2013. . . .WHO WOULDN'T TRUST HIM?

"Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.  For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee." (Ps 128:1-2KJV)  Spiritually, mentally, and physically blessed all the days of our lives!  Who wouldn't want that?  Who would trust the Lord for that?

PRAYER: Lord, we reverence and trust you!  Thank you for blessing us spiritually, mentally and physically.  Amen!

Ps 1:3. . . . And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. KJV

COMPLETE CONFIDENCE!

10-4-2013. . . .COMPLETE CONFIDENCE!

"But Abraham never doubted. He believed God, for his faith and trust grew ever stronger, and he praised God for this blessing even before it happened.  He was completely sure that God was well able to do anything he promised." (Rom 4:20-22 TLB)   Like Abraham, we can praise God in advance for every promise though not yet fulfilled!  With complete confidence, we know God is well able and He will perform what He promised!

PRAYER: Lord, we are completely confident in your ability to perform what you have promise.  Thank you in advance for the coming manifestation.  Amen!

Heb 10:35-38. . . .Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.  For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.  For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.  Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.  KJV

GOD'S HAND

10-3-13. . . .GOD'S HAND!

"This Ezra went up from Babylon; and he was a ready scribe in the law of Moses, which the LORD God of Israel had given: and the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the LORD his God upon him." (Ezra 7:6 KJV)  God's hand upon us is God's favor upon us!  Expect doors to be opened - ways to be made - and request granted by those in charge.  God's hand is upon us for good!

PRAYER: Lord, let your hand forever be upon us for good. Amen!

Ezra 7:6. . . .As a Jewish religious leader, Ezra was well versed in Jehovah's laws, which Moses had given to the people of Israel. He asked to be allowed to return to Jerusalem, and the king granted his request; for the Lord his God was blessing him. TLB

FLOW WITH HIM!

10-2-2013. . . .FLOW WITH HIM!

"Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." (1 Peter 5:6-7 KJV)  Promotion will come when we submit to God's way,  God's plan, and God's timing!  Impatience only hinders the process!  Don't fight against Him, flow with Him!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for having everything under control.  Help us stay submitted to your way, plan, and timing!  Amen.

Ps 75:5-8. . . . For promotion and power come from nowhere on earth, but only from God. He promotes one and deposes another. TLB

THINK FIRST!

10-1-2013. . . .THINK FIRST!

"Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer." (Ps 19:14 KJV)  We would do well to ask ourselves this question before we speak: "Is what I'm about to say going to be pleasing to the Lord?"  If the answer is no, then its probably better for us not to say it!  We should always think first, then speak!

Prayer:Lord, help us always speak words that are pleasing to you and helpful to others.  Amen!

Ps 19:14. . . .
May my spoken words and unspoken thoughts be pleasing even to you, O Lord my Rock and my Redeemer.  TLB
