MAXIMIZE THE MOMENT!

8-3-2011. . . .MAXIMIZE THE MOMENT!

So be careful how you act; these are difficult days.  Don't be fools; be wise: make the most of every opportunity you have for doing good.  Don't act thoughtlessly, but try to find out and do whatever the Lord wants you to. (Eph 5:15-17 TLB)   In one of his final speeches the Apostle Paul advises us to take advantage of every opportunity to do good!  In other words, according to God's plan, opportunities are coming!  We must prepared now so that we will be able to maximize the moment when it comes.

PRAYER: Lord, help us to be prepared for the opportunities you are sending our way!  Thank you for favoring us.  We will not disappoint you.  Amen!

Eph 1:3. . . . Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.

HEALING AND HEALTH TO ALL!

10-28-2011. . . .HEALING AND HEALTH TO ALL!

"Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. " (Prov 16:24 KJV) Everyone in need of healing is not in a hospital or confined to a bed.  There are many 'walking wounded' all around us!  We have the capacity to bring heath and healing to their soul by simply speaking a kind and pleasant word to them.  Because the walking wounded are not clearly identifiable, lets try speaking kind and pleasant words to everybody; that way no one will be missed, healing and heath will come to all!

PRAYER: Lord, let everyone that crosses our path receive healing and health through the words we speak to them.  Amen!

Prov 12:18. . . .Some people like to make cutting remarks, but the words of the wise soothe and heal. TLB

LIFE'S POTENTIAL!

10-27-2011. . . .LIFE'S POTENTIAL!

"Moses was 120 years old when he died, yet his eyesight was perfect and he was as strong as a young man." (Deut 34:7-8 TLB)  With God, all things are possible even life-long health, strength and prosperity.  Don't allow bad life choices to diminish life's potential!   If we take of God's business, God will take care of us!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for giving us life-long health, strength and prosperity in order that we may carry out and complete your divine purpose in us!  Amen!

Mark 10:27. . . .And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. KJV

WHO WOULDN'T TRUST HIM?

10-26-2011. . . .WHO WOULDN'T TRUST HIM?

"Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.  For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee." (Ps 128:1-2KJV)  Spiritually, mentally, and physically blessed all the days of our lives!  Who wouldn't want that?  Who would trust the Lord for it?

PRAYER: Lord, we reverence and trust you!  Thank you for blessing us spiritually, mentally and physically.  Amen!

Ps 1:3. . . . And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. KJV

HEALTH AND STRENGTH!

10-25-2011. . . .HEALTH AND STRENGTH!

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.   In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.  Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.  It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones." (Prov 3:5-8 KJV)  Health and strength come from the Lord who honor us with such as we continuously trust and depend on Him!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for health and strength.  Our trust and dependence upon you shall never sway.  Amen!

Ps 67:1-2. . . .God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.  That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.  KJV

STAY IN HEALTH!

10-25-2011. . . .STAY IN HEALTH!

"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."  (3 John 2 KJV)  Good health is a healthy desire to have for others and for our self!  We must however, work to achieve it and encourage others to do the same by eating right, getting proper rest, and exercise!!!!  Get in health - Be in health - Stay in health!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for good health!  Help us to be in health and stay in health as we prosper both spiritually and physically.  Amen!

Ps 42:11-43:1. . . .Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.  KJV

THINK FIRST!

10-21-2011. . . .THINK FIRST!

"Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer." (Ps 19:14 KJV)  We would do well to ask ourselves this question before we speak: "Is what I'm about to say going to be pleasing to the Lord?"  If the answer is no, then its probably better for us not to say it!  We should always think first, then speak!

Prayer:Lord, help us always speak words that are pleasing to you and helpful to others.  Amen!

Ps 19:14. . . .
May my spoken words and unspoken thoughts be pleasing even to you, O Lord my Rock and my Redeemer.  TLB

AFFECTED OR INFECTED!

10-20-2011. . . .AFFECTED OR INFECTED!

"After a little while, those standing there went up to Peter and said, "Surely you are one of them, for your accent gives you away." (Matt 26:73 NIV) What do people discern about us when they hear us speak?  Does our speech draw them closer to Christ or drive them away from Him?  We must guard our speech!  Someone is always listening and being affected or infected by what we say!

PRAYER: Lord, help us to guard our speech so that it is a witness to the world of your grace, and not a disgrace!  Amen.

Col 4:5-6. . . . Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. NIV

SPEAK ONLY THESE!

10-19-2011. . . .SPEAK ONLY THESE!

"All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.  They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge." (Prov 8:8-9 KJV)  Words of wisdom and truth stand strong on legs of integrity.  They require no later explanation or recanting.  Speak only these!

Prayer: Lord, help us to guard our speech so that what we say will stand in integrity.  Amen!

Titus 2:7-8. . . .In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,  Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you. KJV

SAVE YOUR WORDS!

10-18-2011. . . .SAVE YOUR WORDS!

"Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words." (Prov 23:9 KJV)  If a fool will say in his heart, 'there is no God', any words of wisdom or advise shared with them will surely fall on deaf ears.  A fool is a Fool!  Save your words!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for every person you allow to cross my path.  Enable me with the discernment to distinguish between fools and those who are not!  Amen.

Matt 7:6. . . .Don't give holy things to depraved men. Don't give pearls to swine! They will trample the pearls and turn and attack you. TLB

HELP NOT HURT!

10-17-2011. . . .HELP NOT HURT!

"My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, (James 1:19 NIV)  Words spoken without wisdom are like a surgeon's scalpel in the hand of the unskilled! That which was designed to help ends up hurting!  Be careful to speak words that help and not hurt.

PRAYER: Lord, may the words we speak always help and not hurt; heal and not hinder!  Amen!

James 1:19-20. . . .Dear brothers, don't ever forget that it is best to listen much, speak little, and not become angry;  for anger doesn't make us good, as God demands that we must be. TLB

HE NEVER DISAPPOINTS!

10-14-2011. . . .HE NEVER DISAPPOINTS!

"For I was ashamed to ask the king for soldiers and cavalry to accompany us and protect us from the enemies along the way. After all, we had told the king that our God would protect all those who worshiped him, and that disaster could come only to those who had forsaken him!  So we fasted and begged God to take care of us. And he did."  (Ezra 8:21-23 TLB)  If God can be trusted for one thing, God can be trusted for every thing.  We should never be ashamed to demonstrate our dependence upon God to the world.  He never disappoints!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for always keeping your word.  You never disappoint!  Amen!

Jer 24:6-7. . . . I will see that they are well treated, and I will bring them back here again. I will help them and not hurt them; I will plant them and not pull them up.  I will give them hearts that respond to me. They shall be my people and I will be their God, for they shall return to me with great joy. TLB

FLOW WITH HIM!

10-13-2011. . . .FLOW WITH HIM!

"Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." (1 Peter 5:6-7 KJV)  Promotion will come when we submit to God's way,  God's plan, and God's timing!  Impatience only hinders the process!  Don't fight against Him, flow with Him!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for having everything under control.  Help us stay submitted to your way, plan, and timing!  Amen.

Ps 75:5-8. . . . For promotion and power come from nowhere on earth, but only from God. He promotes one and deposes another. TLB

GOD'S HAND!

10-12-11. . . .GOD'S HAND!

"This Ezra went up from Babylon; and he was a ready scribe in the law of Moses, which the LORD God of Israel had given: and the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the LORD his God upon him." (Ezra 7:6 KJV)  God's hand upon us is God's favor upon us!  Expect doors to be opened - ways to be made - and request granted by those in charge.

PRAYER: Lord, let your hand forever be upon us for good. Amen!

Ezra 7:6. . . .As a Jewish religious leader, Ezra was well versed in Jehovah's laws, which Moses had given to the people of Israel. He asked to be allowed to return to Jerusalem, and the king granted his request; for the Lord his God was blessing him. TLB

BUT GOD!

10-11-2011. . . .BUT GOD!

"If the Lord had not been on our side (let all Israel admit it), if the Lord had not been on our side,  we would have been swallowed alive by our enemies, destroyed by their anger.  We would have drowned beneath the flood of these men's fury and pride."  (Ps 124:1-4 TLB)  So many times our enemies, opposition, and haters had what seemed like an undeniable advantage over us, 'But God!'  God move on our behalf leaving our enemies, opposition, and haters shaking their collective heads and wondering, what happened!

PRAYER: Lord, no matter what advantage it may seem our opposition has, you remain our best advantage.  Thank you!  Amen.

Ps 124:6-8. . . . Blessed be Jehovah who has not let them devour us.  We have escaped with our lives as a bird from a hunter's snare. The snare is broken and we are free!  Our help is from the Lord who made heaven and earth.  TLB

10-10-2011. . . .GOD IS FOR US!

"What shall we then say to these things?  If God be for us, who can be against us?" (Rom 8:31KJV)  God is on our side!  He is for us and not against us!  Our lives must be a reflection and pronouncement to the world of this fact.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for being on our side!  Help us live lives that reflect and announce this fact to the world.  Amen!

Ps 7:10-11. . . . My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.  God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day. KJV

WITNESS TO SOMEONE TODAY!

10-7-2011. . . .WITNESS TO SOMEONE TODAY!

"He isn't really being slow about his promised return, even though it sometimes seems that way. But he is waiting, for the good reason that he is not willing that any should perish, and he is giving more time for sinners to repent." (2 Peter 3:8-9 TLB)  Surely the Lord will keep His promise to return!  In the meantime, let us do all we can to tell everyone we can about the good news of the gospel before the promise is fulfilled!  Witness to someone today!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for loving the world so much that you have not only given your life for us, but in your mercy and compassion, you are giving everyone the opportunity to take full advantage of it.  May everyone do so quickly.  Amen!

John 3:16-17. . . . For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son so that anyone who believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.  TLB

WE GET AWAY!

10-6-2011. . . .WE GET AWAY!

"For as you know him better, he will give you, through his great power, everything you need for living a truly good life: he even shares his own glory and his own goodness with us!  And by that same mighty power he has given us all the other rich and wonderful blessings he promised; for instance, the promise to save us from the lust and rottenness all around us, and to give us his own character." (2 Peter 1:3-4 TLB) Southwest airlines depicts in their commercials people caught in some precarious situations, and then poses the question: 'Want to get away?'  As the world around us seems to be getting more and more corrupt, we rely on the precious promises God has given us to escape it.  We don't just want to get away, we do get away!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for your great and precious promises that enable us to escape the corruption that is in the world.  Amen!

2 Peter 1:2-4. . . .Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. KJV

COMPLETE CONFIDENCE!

10-5-2011. . . .COMPLETE CONFIDENCE!

"But Abraham never doubted. He believed God, for his faith and trust grew ever stronger, and he praised God for this blessing even before it happened.  He was completely sure that God was well able to do anything he promised." (Rom 4:20-22 TLB)   Like Abraham, we can praise God in advance for every promise though not yet fulfilled!  With complete confidence, we know God is well able and He will perform what He promised!

PRAYER: Lord, we are completely confident in your ability to perform what you have promise.  Thank you in advance for the coming manifestation.  Amen!

Heb 10:35-38. . . .Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.  For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.  For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.  Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.  KJV

NOT ONE WORD!

10-4-1 2011. . . .NOT ONE WORD!

"Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant."  (Kings 8:56 KJV) Long before any of us came into existence, God made precious promises!  Not one word has failed or will fail!  His promises still hold true!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for all your precious promises and for the staying power of your word!  Not one word ever fails.  Amen!

Acts 2:39. . . . For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. KJV

HIS PROMISE OUR BLESSING!

10-3-2011. . . .  HIS PROMISE OUR BLESSING!

"For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us."   (2 Cor 1:20 KJV) From God's perspective, a promise made is a blessing received.  Know His promises, know our blessings!

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for every promise made and every blessing received.  Amen!

Jer 1:12. . . .Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.  KJV
